I'd get Uncharted 2 now if I were you...Uncharted 1 took over a year to drop in price...maybe 2. It's a console exclusive...it really doesnt need to drop.

I didnt think twice when i saw it go for 15 and added it to the cart the minute it came out.
 
Woot got Uncharted II. Now I only need one game this fall and I am set. All I need is NBA 2k10 and I am happy. Already got Uncharted II and L4D2 just need one more.

I'm disappointed at Amazon this year, not because of the games, but for the gold box "deal" for the DualShock 3. Offering it for $39 when it was available for $40 throughout the week (yeah, 1 freaking dollar off) was really sneaky.

I was hoping to get a few PS3 games, since I had gotten a whole bunch of Wii games in the last couple of months and had given the PS3 no love, but I didn't find anything for me.

As much as I love DA:O, as a CAG I think it would be more prudent to get UC2. That game will hold its value much longer.

They usually do not. You have to pay extra for UPS Saturday delivery. Most of the packages that I get on Saturday are shipped via FedEx instead. The best part is that FedEx doesn't seem to like coming to my house on Saturday so I get all of my Saturday deliveries on Friday (I got 3 yesterday that all had Saturday delivery).

This is kind of a stretch, but I assume that MW2 will have a "Game of the Year" edition that comes out following the release of some DLC, so I imagine that the original copy of the game will drop considerably after that.

UC2 on the other hand, I don't see dropping anytime soon. The first one only dropped below $30 for Black Friday this year.

Unless you paid for saturday delivery, I've never had UPS deliver on a saturday on 2 day deliveries.

UPS delivers UPS Saturday NDA Air on Saturday's.
 
I finally got shipping confirmation for the Dragon Age I ordered Thursday, and the e-mail says they expect delivery on Monday, though it was shipped UPS Ground. Not sure how that works.
 
i just noticed, the number of games on sale under the $10,$25, and $50 just jumped up noticeably....don't see anything good yet though

I actually work for FedEx, and we only deliver Saturday deliveries on Saturday. If it comes into our station and it is scheduled for Monday or Tuesday delivery, we will leave it behind, until either of those 2 days.
 
For whatever reason, my packages not meant until Monday are arriving today. They say they are out for delivery as I speak and I didn't pay for Saturday shipping.

These deals were all subjective, as any sale is, that's why it's so polarizing. I only wanted 6 newly released games I don't have, and didn't buy any that happen to be reduced on Amazon because I'd already given out my Christmas list to others with 3 or so of those 6, and I have most of the ones I wanted that went on sale. That and I saw fewer PS3 and PC games on sale that I want but don't have AND weren't on the Christmas list...when it came down to it, I didn't buy a single game on BF, I bought one a few days before as a gift for someone else (GOW Collection)...

Basically, I saw nothing like last year's that I wanted that I COULD have bought. I've checked by CAG randomly a couple times a week throughout all 2009, and found some amazing deals on games that were close to most of the deals that were ON BF this year for Amazon (not all week), so I was hoping to be blown away, but wasn't. I think the Tekken 6 price was the only game not on my list that interested me and was a good price (if I'm not mistaken, NBA 2K10 was on sale for 360 and NOT PS3), but I was short on money after buying the blu rays instead this year. It's just that BF deals on Amazon didn't destroy the bargains I was getting with them all year long anyways (especially with ECA).

When I saw what was on sale last year for BF, for my own wants as of 12 months ago, I'd have had more deals last year even with the Christmas list from last year. I pretty much had to say no to all BF games deals on Amazon yesterday (considered Tekken 6 but wanted the Blu's more), but did grab a few Blu-rays from them and the complete Millenium TV series on regular DVD for like $37. Just games-wise, since I didn't participate in Amazon BF last year, I am truly disappointed with what I read was on there last year compared to what showed up when I checked this year's, but that's just me.

I already have Batman AA, Killzone 2, inFAMOUS, MGS 4, Riddick and a few others, and I despise music games, but the ones I wanted that I waited on just for BF, like Demon's Souls or Force Unleashed Sith Ed or Gears 2 GOTY and a couple others,to drop a lot ON BF never did, so, it's all subjective.

There were "solid" sales I'd say, but it wasn't "mindblowing" which is what I'd describe what I read Amazon had last year. Holy sh-t I'd have bought like 7 games last year on BF if I'd known it was that good.
 
just got UC2 for $21, I thought I wasnt gonna buy anything this year and save all the money I had with all the bad deals but I saw this and just caved

so weak...

For everyone that bought the amazon deal:

I just received my bundle from Fedex. Packaging was great!! Each game was individually wrapped and was placed inside the ps3 box. On the back of each game, it states "Not For Resale." So for those trying to sell it back to walmart..... GL.

NFS: Shift was $25, Uncharted 2 is currently $40, Tekken 6 was $32, Arkham was $30, Dragon Age was $35, L4D2 was $35...what do you guys want? These games are brand spanking new and they're already half price.

Heck, I just got the GoW: Collection for $16.99 today in the mail, thanks to the MW2 + $20 credit deal. I think this has been the cheapest gen for me ever.

Not to be rude, but if you 'give out your christmas lists' to other people, what do prices matter to you? You don't buy your own games.
 
Some people just love to complain. I think if Amazon offered free copies of Uncharted 2 and Modern Warfare 2, you would see posts like: "Great, now I have to add $25 to get FSS? Amazon Fail!"

Seriously, people's expectations are too high. Either that, or this griping is just them justifying holding on to their money. Since Monday I've spent over $600 on some incredible deals. I've gotten cheap prices on stuff on my wishlist, impulse buys and incredible prices, and taken care of everyone for x-mas except for those people whom I'm only doing gift cards for.

I'd post up my entire list, but since many of the deals aren't video games, I didn't know if that was against some rules here.

Amazon shipped the one thing that I bought yesterday already yet none of my stuff that I purchased Wednesday night or Thursday has shipped yet. Kind of strange. Not that I'm complaining, I'm not in a hurry to get any of it but I was surprised to see the last thing I bought shipping out first.

I'm guessing the reason that people are getting deliveries today without having used Saturday shipping is that there's so much stuff to be delivered this time of year that they deliver stuff on Saturdays to try to keep up with the increased amount of packages that they handle.

It honestly depends what you're looking for.

Dragon Age and Brutal Legend I could have cared less about, and especially at $35 (I won't buy a current gen game for more than $30, unless I know it had a limited release) I found a lot of great deals on used games, just not many new I think I ordered 3 games from Amazon, that Ghost Busters deal, Uncharted and Sonic Unleased (had to have filler for FSS) otherwise I bought from Amazon Marketplace, Radio Shack (2 DS3 for nephews), Half, even (Groan...) one from Gamestop.

Heck I even scoured Ebay looking for a few things but they're a bunch of over priced pikers over there. I didn't see decent prices for inFamous, nothing on R&C: CiT, or other games that came out summer or sooner (with few exceptions, like RE5) that I wanted or needed.

And for that matter, a lot of what I bought used, I paid on average $15 for, I can understand your lack of understanding for people moaning about putting down $35 for a month old game, but I mean isn't BF suppose to be about killer deals, I'd say I bought almost everything from Amazon last year because they had nice finds on stuff I didn't have before GOW 1/2 $10, PS3 controller charger $15, and other stuff, I skipped on most of the PS3 stuff, cause I didn't feel like dropping that much on a game.

I come here to get 2-3 games for the price of a new $60 game, if you think that's just unrealistic, then I advise you to find a new place NOT called Cheap Ass Gamer to find your deals, cause we're here to get the best bang for our buck, not take one in the jaxies, just because somebody else who's Uncle Moneybags, thinks $35 for a game is an awesome deal.

I coulda grabbed Batman AA for $35, problem is I read it can be beat in a weekend, and for me a 10-15 hour game isn't worth any more than mid-$20's.

Isn't that being what a Cag is all about....damn right. :applause:

Edit: Seen you've only been registered for 3 months, you'll learn soon enough what it means to be a true Cag. ;)
