Picked up two copies of Left 4 Dead 2 as Christmas presents. You can't beat $69.98 shipped for two copies of a game that has been out for 12 days. That's only 4.44 more than one 360 game at regular price plus TN sales tax!

Seriously? Because I just went on Amazon and Dead Space Extraction is still only available for $49.99 + rape shipping from 3rd parties, not from Amazon.

Wish I could have nabbed it for $20 during that lightning deal.
 
Kodave, don't give up. The game flopped, sales-wise from what I saw.

So a price-drop after Christmas is expected, imo.

The game is -really- good, but only about 6 hours long. But it's a very high-quality, top-notch rail-shooter, so it is totally worth it at $20.
 
Amazon is f'n amazing. Anytime I have a problem, their customer service comes through.

A sound system I bought almost 4 weeks ago went on sale and they gave me back the difference no questions asked. $40 for one email. lol

I play the nice and stupid card myself. You're polite and to the point, but you don't spell everything out perfectly for them: "that you know you bought it when the deal wasn't offered" or something like that would be things I would not say.

Okay, I just sent my email and I hope they don't read CAG :D

I basically mentioned that I had only made the purchase a few days ago and now circumstances around the product have changed. I also mentioned how I have heard that Amazon has a very understanding policy regarding these sorts of situations and that I would be very grateful if they could assist me. Also, I mentioned that I haven't even gotten the game yet, just to see if that was the ticket they needed (like Red did)

I wrote something like that, but probably less classy.
 
Let us know haha. I ordered a hard drive from newegg once, and two days later before I got it all harddrives went on sale. I emailed the reps and they refunded me about 10 dollars based on the discount. It doesn't hurt to try.

I just called about a price match and was told they don't do it if the item has already shipped. Should I keep trying then?
 
i ordered Killzone 2 via lightening deal on the 26th for like $28 bucks..emailed CS asking for the promotion and they denied..i emailed them back stating that my "uncle" (played by Red) had bought the same game, asked the same question, and got a $20 credit..

i got the following email:

"Hello,

I understand your concern regarding the $20 credit offered along with the item Killzone 2.

I have checked your order and see that it was placed on Nov 26, 2009. As per the promotion the order should be placed between 2:00 PM November 29, 2009 and 11:59 PM November 30, 2009 Pacific time, when shipped and sold by Amazon.com.

However, as an exception I have issued a refund of $20.00 to your credit card. You'll see the refund in the next 2-3 business days. "
 
I sent an email like red did, since I bought ratchet when it went on sale, and she happily attached a return label for me to ship it back when I receive it, and to purchase it now to get the promotion. but she doesn't understand that I got it for $16 :p

Sure can. In fact, I just had them add L4D2 and DAO for PC to an order with 30% off. I got tired of waiting for Amazon to drop them to a real BF deal, so I made my own! Can't beat $47.54 shipped for both!

Emailed about the $20 credit for Uncharted 1, and they happily gave me $20 general Amazon credit for the $15 purchase I made of it several days ago.

Cheers! Now just time to decide whether to spend it towards L4D2 while it's still $30, or whether to spend it on the GoW Collection and get the $20 PSN credit for real! Haha, I love Amazon.
 
Goddamn it, my open order w/ 20% ECA already had Uncharted 2 on it from when I bought the game and I can't get CS to add another copy of the game to the order for $40. It's showing up as $56.99 in their system.

Maybe because it's due to this limit 1 per customer thing but wtf...

I've actually been emailing them about a lightning deal glitch that happened with Ratchet: ToD.

I had added it to my cart, through the lightning deal widget and had confirmed it was in my cart. But it wouldn't apply when I went to checkout.

So if they fix that for me, I'd end up probably being able to get this $20 PSN credit for -that- trouble. But they haven't replied yet. (It's odd how I send an email two days ago, they don't reply. I send an email a few hours ago, they reply to that one for UC. -_-;.)

Same thing happened for me for GTAIV $10, I had to call CS up and literally bitch at an Indian rep. and a foreign "supervisor" to get them to give me $17 credit.

I understand they need to hire new CSR for the holidays, but I've been having bad luck with them during this week. Please give me someone that I can actually understand -.-

And I wanted to add UC2 before it turned Monday (e-mail might have been too slow, but w/e)
 
I don't call. It's too much of a pain in the butt.

Emailing always works for me. (But I once had this really bad debate with them.)

Basically, I asked them to add a few items to an order (Bioshock: Special Edition and Mass Effect 2: CE)

And.. instead of just adding the items (I supplied the ASIN)

They made a whole new order and then cancelled the old one.

This made my gift credit that I had saved up for PS3 get attached to the order. blegh.

I agree, I faced a similar situation before and amazon compensated by giving me some moolah.

The only thing that I love about them is their deals. That's the reason why I buy from them all the time.

Last year amazon had a PS3 basketball game for free, and this year they're paying people for Uncharted. At this pace, next year's Black Friday is going to be historic for PS3 owners.

BP the Ultimate Box wasn't released on PS3/360 in NA, only EU. PS Store had it for $20 about a month ago (The regular edition was $15). But just remember it was just BP + the Party Pack. No Legendary cars, No Island.
