Under $10 a disc, NICE. At least this selection is more varied than the upcoming BB BoGo. Last weekend BB was a freaking nightmare Crowded as hell with screaming kids and hearing some lady's furious ranting about her instore Wii pick-up that disappeared.

Its actually funny you should say that, because the COMPLETE OPPOSITE was happening to me! I had 2 hd dvds in there (departed, troy DC) for 23.95 and 6 of them for 19.95 a piece. Thats a total of 167.60 Half of that should be 83.80 but my order kept coming up 87.80. Exactly 4 dollars more. 4 out of the 6 19.99 titles they were giving me buy one get one. The other 2 19.99 titles were free, BUT it was only after they charged me for the 23.95 titles. I kept wiping out my cart and putting the movies in a different chronological order to see if that would make a difference and it did not, so after doing that about 4 different times, I just took out the 2 23.95 titles and only bought the 6 19.95 titles and they came out EXACLY half. So then I made a completely new order and ONLY ordered the 2 23.95 titles and checked out and not only did it work but even though the total of that 2nd order was 23.95 it still gave me free super saver shipping because you choose the shipping option WAY before the actual discount takes place :) Good deal thanks for the heads up XUGRAD and Cheapy for posting it on the front page!

I picked up Troy DC and The Fountain (non/combo) for a total of $23.95. Nice! about $12.00 a piece for both movies. I am glad I waited on Troy because I was going to pick it up on day one, but held off and forgot about getting it until I saw this.

I bought an HD DVD player last November from Amazon, which qualified me for 10% off HD DVD and BDs for a year (I guess DVDs too, I haven't bought a DVD since I started buying HD movies).

It's still working for me, even though it's been over a year now. The cool thing about it is that it discounts 10% off the price of both movies, then subtracts the full price of the second movie. Add in free super saver shipping, and two $19.95 movies wind up costing $15.96 with BOGO.

There's no code for the discount; it's automatically applied when I select my payment method during the checkout process.
 
Just curious, why are people buying non-combo versions to replace the combo ones they already have? I would think that the non-combo version would be the preferred version.

Unforgiven and Goodfellas for slightly less than 10 dollars each on DVD would be a good deal.

Both of those movies on HD-DVD for that price is ridiculous. I definitely picked those up.

Yup, worked for me too. And it applies the coupon before the free HD-DVD discount is applied.
 
Interesting thing... I'm not sure if people already know about this or not, but I am getting the free shipping even though my order didn't total over $25. It seems like a glitch where the system doesn't recognize the BOGO when determining your shipment options.

what it does is use both titles prices to calculate whether or not you get free shipping THEN taking away the discount. Amazon does that for all their discounts.
 
Had the previous BR sales not hit, I would've picked up a number of movies from this sale. This time around, it's slim pickings for me due to that, so I did pick up Flags Of Our Fathers and Letters From Iwo Jima.

Bought 6 movies yesterday, 4 of which I already owned on DVD (Casino, The Deer Hunter, Dog Day Afternoon, and Training Day), almost bought The Hurricane on DVD when it was like $3 or $5 @ Circuit City, glad I waited. Also I would have rather bought Blue Earth on Blu-Ray... since it just seems more fitting, but it wasn't int hat sale so ohh well. Wish I had waited to buy Goodfellas on HD-DVD though since all my other SCorsese/DeNiro movies are in red...

Key word need...surely there is another movie you want or at least there is one that strikes you as might be good but not sure. If I were you I'd go with a blind buy. About 1/2 of my HD DVDs were blind buys and I only didn't like 1 of them.

most of the other movies i have on blu-ray already from the previous BOGO so this limits my choices greatly...if they kept 12 monkeys up there i would have taken that ...i am leaning towards the perfect storm though...
