You sure are aragant. I got two copies at my store. LocaLs are much less likely to know about these deals than folks who go to these sites, its not marked 7.99 on shelf, I'm sure people want to know that.

Nope I did scout the location on wed though. I was at the back of a line that wrapped around the store when it opened and they still had 3 on the shelf when I got there. Most ppl seemed to be there for tvs.
 
Nobody gave a shit about the set here. I was probably somewhere in the upper hundreds of the line since I showed up 15 minutes before the store opened, they were so busy scrambling for those westinghouse lcds that no one was even bothering with the movies. So yeah OP is right this isn't impossible to get right now

Exactly! Ppl are overestimating the common persons knowledge. Just check the site and see if its in your store and GO!. I'm going into kmart now for mass effect 2 + 1600 microsoft points for 20 bucks.

My local store bothered to mark it, just didn't put it on the endcap with the rest of the sale blu-rays it was still with the other sets.

Just called Target and they said that the LotR I ordered are out of stock, but they're supposed to ship today and supposed to get more in today. So I guess I just need to count that as money i don't have today. Means shopping is limited to none.

If they'd just cancel it, it'd be easier..

I stopped by before work this morning, it was mostly junk from what I saw.

Wal-Mart's $5 Blu-Ray rack was great though, got Predators, Departed, Gran Torino, Simpsons Movie, Dark Knight, Batman Begins, Heat, Step Brothers, The Wrestler, Passion of Christ, and a few others I can't think of right now.
 
Well in total this Black Friday I got V for Vendetta, The Hangover DVD, Casino Royale DVD, Predators and Predator, and 4 copies of the Lord of the Rings Triology on Blu Ray. 2 in Store and 2 onlline. Pretty good haul.
 
Well I'm happy to say I got everything I wanted in-store from Target and Bestbuy. Great thing was I got up at 6 am left my house at 7am and was home by 8am cause those two stores are about 3 miles away from my house in the same plaza.
 
Was able to pick up a copy of LOTR trilogy Blu-ray for $7.99 at Target--interesting, for all the griping we heard about Target begrudgingly honoring the ad mistake, the set rang up as $7.99 without trouble. I for sure thought that they would have it priced regularly and I'd have to fight for it.

Has anybody tried getting a price adjustment on these sets? I bought two the other day in hopes of being able to do so.

I'm so mad that I couldn't even get to the Blu-Rays in my store. It was one of the only times in my life I said, "fuck it" and gave up on a deal almost immediately. It was a giant clusterfuck of people, and all I kept seeing was people walking away with giant stacks of Blus.
 
Ordered Dark Knight Blu Ray to replace my poor old HD-DVD version. And Angels and Demons since I think it was worth $5. Can't believe I bought Kick-Ass a few days ago and it dropped $3. At least How to Train Your Dragon didn't drop as well.
 
just got home from our 4:30 run-around.

have to say that if you dig in the walmart $5 blu rays, theres quite a few good ones to find. We got there around 8:00 and I was able to get the Simpsons Movie, Slumdog Millionaire, (both were the last ones) Mr. and Mrs. Smith and Something, Something Dark Side. There were a TON of Dark Knights and Batman Begins as well as most other movies.

I've spent way too much money this week >.

In theory it should go at least a little bit lower. Then again this is the company that had the Perfect Shot for Wii drop 70 cents or something like that and called it a lightning deal.

Well, that was easy. Looks like Saving Private Ryan and Hurt Locker will be sold out in the next ten minutes, not surprisingly. Got my one and only actual BF deal and I'm disappointed How To Train Your Dragon didn't get a PM from Newegg or better. Oh well, maybe on Cyber Monday.

I think the 29.97 we got it for from Barnes and Noble in the previous thread is the cheapest we'll see it this season. I imagine Amazon's price on Monday will likely be 29.99, anything lower than that for a release that's less than a month old would be insanity.
 
Anyone know what my odds are of getting Psych Season 4 and Burn Notice Seasons 2 and 3 from a Target B&M around noon? Amazon seems unwilling to price match and Target is charging shipping on their website.

If you happen to have a Hastings in your area there are some good deals going on right now, I snagged Breaking Bad Season 1 & 2 on blu for 19.99 each, and The Office season 5 blu for 19.99 as well. The 40% off all used movies/games/etc is great as well. Also possibly YMMV not sure but I was going to buy a lot of used games with the 40% off deal, but was told that after noon it goes back to 30% but a B2G1 for a $1 kicks in for used games which would save me even more.

So, it doesn't seem like I've seen anyone post a first hand account of the Lotr being canceled? I bought one copy online, but before that bought one at full price a few days ago to price adjust, and its been hell not having that extra money available. For Thanksgiving my wife and I are now about 45 minutes away from target and I was planning on driving there today to get the deal, until I got it online. No cancellation yet, and really hoping if they do cancel they do it soon so I have the chance to go price adjust or find one I the store. But I don't think I've seen anyone here say they got a cancellation, have they?
