Kirby's Dream Collection - $39.99 (September 16)

After weeks of will-they-won't-they speculation (including rumors of Gamestop exclusivity), Amazon now has Kirby's Dream Collection up for preorder!

Sure it may be MSRP for now, but remember how quickly Super Mario All-Stars: Limited Edition and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Gold Remote Bundle flew off the shelves!

Everybody's favorite pink hero, Kirby, turns 20 this year, and we're celebrating by releasing Kirby's Dream Collection Special Edition for Wii. This special anniversary collection comes with six classic Kirby games as well as a renewed collection of Challenge stages based on last year's Kirby's Return to Dream Land. Beyond the games, you'll also get an interactive Kirby timeline, a music CD with songs from a variety of Kirby titles, and a full-color book chronicling the history of this video game icon. If you're a fan, you'll love it. But if you've only ever played Kirby in Smash Bros., or have never played a Kirby game at all, it's the perfect introduction to everything Kirby.

Games included:
Kirby's Dream Land (Game Boy)
Kirby's Adventure (NES)
Kirby Super Star (SNES)
Kirby's Dream Land 2 (Game Boy)
Kirby's Dream Land 3 (SNES)
Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards (N64)

Extra content:
Complimentary soundtrack and art book
10 challenge levels based on Kirby's Return to Dreamland
Interactive Museum charting Kirby's rich history
OP,

You make really good posts. Thank you.
Thanks! I usually stick to Video Game Art Book deals, but a release of this caliber, especially on Amazon, should not be ignored on CAG! :hot:
Kirby sucks money from your wallet as you preorder this wonderful collection of classic games!
Couldn't have said it better myself! :applause:
I guess that is Kirby's angry and bitter twin brother in your avatar. Poor guy.
Are you guys crazy? I expected more from Kirby fans.

He sucks.

Sucks

Haha the irony!
Don't forget to fill out the intend to buy survey at Club Nintendo while you can.
Thanks for the reminder!

Boo! No Kirby collection is complete without Kirby's Dream Course.

That being said, this will probably be a pretty safe purchase. I doubt they'll do a huge run of these and I bet they'll hold their value. Still kicking myself for not picking up the Metroid Prime collection when it was cheap...

I agree, can't see this dropping much in price if not at all, still might wait to see what other retailers do though

in b4 the case just contains a piece of paper with download codes for each of the games and login info to download mp3s and PDFs from a website

I do really want to get this, but the fact that Best Buy, Wal-mart, Target and Toys R Us have this listed on their website (potentially in their store inventory as well), I'll take the gamble that one of them will blink and put it at $30 eventually, which would be my personal buy in price.

Also, just an FYI for Kirby lovers (that doesn't sound right), Target has Return to Dream Land listed on their website for temporary price reduction to $39.99, not too bad since I have yet to see this go on sale near that price except Ebay / Amazon, especially if you can get that price in store. Is that deal worthy of a separate thread?

If I buy this, will I have to question my masculinity?

It's a bit too high for me at $40, but then again it has more stuff than that Mario one two years ago. So $30 is a fine price if it goes on sale.

Thanks for the heads up. I went and ordered, then checked my deals page and it was in my Quick Picks for another $2 off. So I had to go back and cancel the first order and get it through the QP link.

I like how people keep comparing this to the Mario collection.

You guys do realize that was a rom dump of an SNES game with NOTHING added gameplay wise, correct? Don't get me wrong, I have two copies of it but its literally an SNES collection dumped on a Wii disc. Not similar at all.

Question, if I pre order the game today from Amazon, and the ships and my credit card will be charged just $40 or $40 with tax, because Amazon is going to tax consumers starting September in California. I want to buy some amazon credit to see where the total would stand.

If the game ships on or after September 15, 2012, you will be charged tax.
