Games that activate on Origin

Per MysterD's suggestion:

Here's the Steam Key Activation Page List.

NOTE: This list is incomplete so if you're unsure you still want to ask in the thread.

I'll be posting this a few times in this thread. I also post this regularly whenever people ask about activation limits with Amazon Game Downloads:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html/ref=hp_200205020_times?nodeId=200205020&#times

How many times can I download my games or software?

You can download an unlimited number of times for personal use. To re-download, go to Your Games and Software Library through the "Your Digital Items" link at the top of the screen and click the download button.
Can I download and install to multiple computers?

For video games: Each game manufacturer has a different policy on how many installations are allowed with each product key. If you run out of installations for the product key you originally purchased from Amazon, please contact Customer Service and we will happily provide you with another key at no additional charge. You can install an unlimited number of times for personal use, however additional copies of the game for friends or family must be purchased separately.
Impulse has Sonic Generations for $10.19. Wave that magical price matching power, Amazon Digital Man? Get those hamsters to run faster! Their little legs are not meant for anything but the price matching of deals. FASTER!

I suggest you put little shock collars on them so that when they start to slow down, perhaps due to exhaustion or depression, you just give 'em a few thousand volts to remind 'em why they do it all.

It's for the children.
Wheels are turning, you're better off waiting a couple of weeks though...we'll have a better deal for you.

Amazon's 2011 Bestseller coupon deal was miles and miles better in terms of usefulness and value.
Yeah. The Amazon coupons were amazing really. I did use 2 steam coupons though. I bought Hydrophobia for a buck or two (I kept it in my steam inventory to trade) and I used my 66% Valve coupon to get Garrys Mod for $3.33.

Most of the coupons I got that from steam contest were an absolute joke. 10% off Revenge of the Titans? Yeah, ok.
picked up payday jsut in time, if anyone wants to add me my steam is Uplinkpro
Will you actually play it? I've had 10 people from CAG add me to play PayDay and not a single one has played it yet and turn down any invites I send them to games. If you will actually play hit me up with a friend request.

Hi. New here. I really love Amazon, bought a lot of stuff from there... too bad I realize about it's amazing digital deals just after the Christmas sales :(

But I could grab DD, BFBC2 and Payday! Great prices, deals and service.

Add me on Steam for some Payday (or other games) matches. Been playing that game and is awesome. Right now I'm on Rep 7, still learning.

Oh, man - if Sonic Generations is $7.49 or less...PURE AWESOME!
Will it be that cheap? :p Or cheaper?

Will Sonic Generations - Casino Nights DLC be on sale on the cheap, too?
Steam has the Two Worlds II Velvet Edition for $20 dollars.

Any chance for a price match?
Hmmm...I don't even see any of the Two Worlds II games - base game, Pirates expansion, nor Velvet [complete edition] - even on their PC game downloads. :(
Looks like Zuxxez is publishing it on Steam.

Div 2: DKS Edition right here.
ah thanks, for 5.99 i might just buy it - in case the internet doesn't know, 4.99 is the magic number at which most of us will buy any decent game that we don't own already. between 4.99 and 9.99 we will get any good game we don't own already. It isn't a rule, if i can go log on to my chacha account for a couple of hours to get the quick bucks to buy the game before the sale ends, i'll probably take it, lol

anyone else here make extra pennies answering chacha questions? :p

If you haven't played Div 2 at all, Ego Draconis portion [Remastered here in this edition] itself is a VERY lengthy game.
With the FOV expansion, just add another 15-20 hours or so.

I've spent literally around over 90 hours w/ ED + FOV together.

Seriously, it's a BLOODY STEAL at $6.

Any plans for Amazon Download to sell Two Worlds 2 base game?
Pirates of the Flying Fortress expansion?
Any plans to sell the Velvet Edition?

$4.99 is my mental speedbump. Anything below that and I don't even think about it - it's in my digital downloads before I know what happened.

Anything above that and I can't pull the trigger. I had a hard time justifying $7.50 games even thou I ended up buying many $4.99 ones I hadn't even considered before. $9.99 and above might as well be $39 or $59. Yes, I even mentally block $5.00 ones for a few days till I convince myself they're just mis-tagged $4.99 ones.;)

My sweetspot for replacing some of my old CD games is around $1.99 or even $2.50.

I'm so bad, the same way. I can't see paying $9.99 for something I KNOW is going in the backlog pile. But

yeah, my backlog is definitely a part of it - mass effect 1, mass effect 2, assassin's creed, assassin's creed 2, dead space, dead space 2, bioshock, bioshock 2, dragon's age, dragon's age 2, fallout new vegas, rome, napoleon and shogun 2 total war, tropico 4, warhammer 40k.....and those are just the big ones, i've easily got enough material to spend the next 2 years happily playing my backlog, but mass effect 3 and borderlands are on my 'if i see any incentive to buy early i'll probably pay full price for it'.

also side note, does anyone else wish 'collector's editions' came with something useful? like, i'd love to see an 80 dollar version of mass effect 3 that came with a custom mid-range mouse. then again, i'm still sad toys don't come in cereal boxes anymore.

They stopped putting toys in cereal boxes? Guess I haven't eaten cereal in like 20 years now that I think about it. I remember getting a digital wristwatch in a box of cereal in like 1986. Took every box of that brand in the store to the produce department scale, weighed them, bought the heaviest box, boom: free shitty watch.

But yes, collector's editions are nigh-on suck IMO. Whenever I subtract the price of the base game from the CE, the additional contents don't seem worth it. That's probably blasphemy around here; I know there are a bunch of collectors or whatever that like to have them out on display. But still, like kwirl said, they ought to put something useful in. I like the ones that come with thumbdrives. It would be cool if they had packed in that hardbound strategy guide with Fallout 3, or if those Blizzard collections came in a REAL BATTLE CHEST.

Most flash drives that come with collectors edition for some reason seem to never work correctly (IE Force Unleashed, Splinter Cell Conviction). And then you have things like the Deus Ex HR "DVD" soundtrack for PS3 requiring a Blu-Ray drive (PC) to retrieve the files as they won't read/play on the PS3.

Any chance to beat Gamersgate price on Crysis Maximum Edition ?

They have it for $10.18 but with my IGN code, it is $8.65 . I would really like to buy from Amazon.com than Gamersgate :)

By the way, my friend contacted CS again regarding his cancelled order for ACB and they confirmed the refund, he called the bank and it is still not shown but they said it could take sometime. Anyway this is not the problem, he is sad coz he missed the deal for $7.49

Did anyone else have major problems with Amazon's Witcher 2 Digital Premium Edition? I bought it yesterday and tried to install it and got a CRC error. Tried many times to redownload and reinstall with no success. Had to finally get a refund, which sucks because I really wanted to play it. $14.99 was a steal. Sorry if this has already been brought up.

I went to CDPrjecktRed's forums and apparently a lot of other people are having the same issue with the Amazon DL version.

Very much agreed. Valve's coupon experiment was interesting, but ultimately their own great holiday/themed sales undermined that initiative.

Tony, if you happen to own a game through Amazon DD such as Test Drive Unlimited 2, and buy a bundle that includes that game, like the Atari Pack, do you still get TDU2 again? Another key?

And does that go for all duplicates?

Yep, if the game has a key, and you buy it twice, you'll have 2 keys.

I might have not made that clear. On Steam, if you own a game like GTA:SA, and it happens to be in a bundle like the Rockstar Pack, they will not give you an extra copy of GTA:SA. This happens 99.9 percent of the time on Steam.

I was wondering if you guys had the same policy for bundles/packs.

Hey there,

We actually don't match Gamersgate as they are international. As for your buddy, sorry about his refund issue. If he wanted the game, and not a refund, he should have asked CS to just issue him a new key since his wasn't working. Sorry I didn't make this clear earlier.

I understood the question, sorry my answer was muddled. Yes, if you own TDU2 and then buy a bundle with TDU2 in it, you'll have 2 TDU keys. Again, this only applies to games with keys, if you buy multiple copies of a DRM free game I'm not sure what happens.

Cheers,
Tony

No worries. I'm a devoted Amazon shopper. The CS agents were awesome. If I ever have a DL problem again I'll be sure to come right to you first. Thanks for all you do for the CAG commuinty.

For those who pre-ordered either digital versions of Mass Effect 3, you can now download the game (9.75 GB). Just go to your Game Library under your Amazon account, and you should see the download link. Not only that, but there should also be a product key and code for the pre-order bonus (M55 Argus Assault Rifle).

It is the preload data, and should unlock once the release date hits at midnight. I'm guessing if yo were to pre-order anytime up until the release date, you should be able to pre-load it early.

Also, those who pre-order either digital copy with receive $10 promo credit just like the physical copies.

Since I picked up C&C uprising in the feb sale, I wanted to go back and play some of the older games - yeah way back to the first ones. Apparently many of the older ones have been released as freeware by EA (heard about this a couple of days ago over at dealsea.com). Anyhow, in case you wanted you can download the earlier ones here:

http://news.bigdownload.com/2010/02/13/download-command-and-conquer-classic-games-full-free-games/

and fileplanet also has the original command and conquer gold here (look to the right under most downloaded):

http://www.fileplanet.com/55414/0/section/Command-&-Conquer

Looks like only up until tiberian dawn is freeware - everything else is still commercial.

I fired up tiberian sun (had to run under xp compat mode in Win 7) and it runs pretty good - forgot James Earl Jones was in the game, along w/ that guy from spaceballs I think...

Now gotta go and dig up my old 'first decade' dvd and try and register it w/ origin. NOD!!!!!!
