Amazon Price Matching?

I thought I remembered reading in some threads people mentioning Amazon doing price matching, but looking at their help page they claim they don't price match. Has anyone ever gotten Amazon to successfully match prices on advertised specials or lower prices at another retailer? Or am I just incorrectly remembering something I read? Thanks!
 
Does anyone match online prices? I'd love to get in on the Frys.com deal, but avoid shipping by using a place that offers free shipping over a certain amount.
 
I can't think of any online sites that do price matching either. I don't remember Amazon doing it either, but I didn't buy much from the in the last year.
