[quote name='samuraixyz']It depends; did you bother using the boost function at all to slide across the floor, roll in and aim at the enemy's face with style? Or jump out of cover, aim in mid-air to activate slow-mo, and put a shotgun to its face to that last pesky drone? Or did you slide across the floor, kick-flip a large enemy, aim in mid-air to activate slow-mo, and put a shotgun to its face?
There's variations, though rather novelty variations; you just got to get out of cover and do something creative, fun, and efficient if it does feel like cover-shooter drone fest and only get back to cover when things getting really bad.

The novelty is cute for the first two times, but the OMG SO EPIC IM SLIDING AND SHOOTING factor wears off real fast. You also don't get crap for bullet time on Hard or Insane, so you can't slide and aim worth crap. Plus, if you try to slide in with "style" at all in the second half of the game, you'll just get cut to ribbons the second you stick your head out, or you'll burn out your suit so when the inevitable critical hits, you'll be dead in the water with just a split second of slow-mo and then 10 seconds before you're anything close to combat effective again. It's a cover shooter.
I never kick-flipped a large enemy because melee burns out your suit, and it's just as effective to just get up close and shotgun the asshole without risking the game's somewhat spastic enemy melee insta-kills.
The game simply just does not have the depth or the substance they think it does. Too much flash, not enough meat.
Like I said, not bad. Just get it at $20 and you'll have a good run with it.
