So when I called to ask the store yesterday, the person to answer offers to look it up so I give him the SKU for LM (and Falcon) and he tells me that they don't have any and aren't getting any shipments, it's a deleted item. Which makes sense because it's listed on their site as such, but I'm guessing he just typed it into the site search -.- Doesn't help that this store that's supposedly getting the shipment is 1.5 hours away.

Without a way to reliably know it's there or not it's not worth it to just chance it, someone probably scooped up 5+. But hey, I'll try again today and try to be more specific lol. Worst that happens is I get the same person.

Don't know how reliable this list is, as people have been reporting finding some that weren't even on it.

I woke up early to get to Best Buy this morning, but we have 6-8 inches of snow on the ground, the whole state is in a state of emergency, and my car is buried. I pray BB here stays closed today.

So I guess calling all those best buys asking if they were getting shipments was a waste of time. This smells exactly like the Lucario situation with TRU (e.g. "No, we aren't getting any". Call the next day "Sorry we sold all of them yesterday and aren't getting more"). I guess once we thaw out I'll head to best buy first thing just to put my mind at ease. :wall:

Perhaps people shouldn't hope to just wander into a figure that they already know is in high demand and was made in short numbers.

I've been getting 3-4 alerts per day from NowInStock for Mega Man at Amazon over the last couple days, but they kept selling out before I got there (maybe they're individual returns). Finally managed to get an order in this morning. Here's hoping it wasn't returned due to a defect or damage.

Pretty sure defects/damaged items get sent to Amazon Warehouse deals if they are resold.

Well...of course I have. You can only check the same two stores so many times lol. The only thing I feel 'entitled' to is expressing disdain over lack of success and jealousy over scalpers scooping up all of the chances that arise.

Definitely getting the feeling that some of these hunters are way to haughty over their roster and the ease at which they've snagged them. "Not a single pre-order/didn't pay over MSRP for any." Sweet, good for you, but don't look down upon those still scrambling to find some of these like you're better than the rest of us. You know, coming off as, ostensibly, 'entitled'.

 
Damn the bastard who just snagged it.  I just clicked to confirm order and it disappeared from my cart.

I was very lucky to be able to preorder wave 2 and 3 at best buy. NW being close enough that I can run over during lunch (but usually have to skip eating and sneak out later) helped for the store exclusives and the rare trinity of wave 1 restock. I probably waited over 10 hours for the 3 main amiibo trips I made.

Being an ocd hoarder a collector, I'm still trying to get doubles of everything though some extras had to go to friends. So yeah, I'm still in the hunt...

I really wonder how things were in the 80s and 90s for those crazy fad toys or hot item every kid wanted for Christmas. I can imagine the White Tigerzord hunt my dad went on afterwork at TRU (I believe Christmas Eve '94). supposedly he got the last one on out on the shelf and someone unhocked his briefcase (dad's an idiot and never locked it) and grabbed the toy. A worker near the backrooms saw and told my dad to come here. There were a good amount of the White Tigerzords there. My dad got 2 which he sold to family friend (hopefully at a decent markup seeing as how they are several times wealthier :???: )

I'm gonna try my luck anyway I have to go somewhere on the opposite side of the city but i can take a bus or light rail (like a trolley) from there to get there so fuck it why not

I never call btw they never check its better to just Pop up

Even the Best Buy employee who started this whole Little Mac hunt says he called a few Best Buy's as a "customer" and he found they weren't using the store inventory tracker. Seems a lot of people lucked out because employees were too lazy/busy to really check or didn't know how.

 
That's fucking sad. A fucking new shipment of Macs and people are still scalping them. Go fuck yourselves.

In other news, that has probably been reported a billion times, but still should be reminded, GCU is now permanently $30. Definitely hop on that wagon if you haven't already.

 
I just called my local Best Buy and they said that they will be getting Pit, not Captain Falcon. He mentioned reddit but I'm not really following that at the moment.

Anyone knows anything about this that can update me? :)

Yeah you gotta love it when you're looking for something, come prepared with a SKU and item details, and the worker opens up Bestbuy.com to tell you that the item is out of stock. No shit buddy, that's why I didn't order it from home and why I'm asking you to try to track one down for me. This is why so many BB employees get a bad rep. They love to get in your face in the store but 9 times out of 10 don't have any information or the capacity to help you beyond the obvious.

it not a new shipment that already been confirmed it just several pallets that been sitting at best buy warehouse for two months that they are just now getting to select stores From part of a old shipment that never got delivered

Busted my ass twice walking over here but was worth the trip

I asked the Best Buy Mobile guy and he was like "captain falcon is supposed to be here?" Im like yeah I got word that they were in transit yesterday. He was like "aright hold on lemme check the back cause I want one too". He said it's the only one he wanted. He came out with 3 of them one for him and 2 for me. He told me he couldn't do more than 2 cause they didn't have a lot I understood. I only got another for trading purposes btw just in case you guys start calling me a scalper.
 
Not sure what happened since I was driving, but the LINE alert group is only for alerts.  I wouldn't be surprised if skaflone starts kicking people soon.

 
Huh just got an emila from customer earth saying my back order of little mac and falcon amiibos is being canceled because the manufacturer notified them they're being discontinued. anyone see news about this?
