I don't see any of you guys buying extras and helping out other people here on CAG. So why don't you cool it with the hoarder/scalper witch hunting when none of you are actually helping out other people. It's so full of shit to say you are helping out people by leaving things on the peg. Stop acting like you sitting there and buying one figure was doing your civic duty. Everyone's a protestor or an advocate but until you actually take a bit of time to help somebody out, you're no different from the guy buying four or twelve.

Help people out every now and then. Pay it forward. It's contagious and other people will do the same. Post away when you do something nice for someone on here. That's how you build a community.

Yeah thats true..I mean its no biggie, if it comes, great, if it doesnt, oh well, I already am getting the Mario Party 10 Amiibo bundle its suppos to arrive on Monday from Target online

 
Went by the Wal-Mart near my house and asked the electronics guy how it went this morning. He said they only got in 8 Gold Marios but that one guy came in and scooped them ALL up. Apparently there weren't any restrictions in place.

 
Quick story of sadness and then surprise: I work an hour from home from 7am until 3pm (Tampa Bay area). I stopped by two stores on my way into work and all were sold out. Inventory tracker said two stores had stock at 8:30am EST (one with 1 or less and one with 2 or more). Wife calls up, gets the kids ready, and goes to the closer one for me (store with 1 or less). Sold out there. Then she drives 20 minutes to location two (with 2 or more) and electronics guy says they sold out quickly awhile ago. She walks around the store with my kids to toys section so they could check them out. The electronics guy finds her, hands her a GM, and says "Shhhh" as to not draw attention. Thank you electronics guy!

So happy that my wife is so awesome! There was definitely some employee "hoarding" at that store!

TLDR: Wife drove around this AM to find me a GM. Stores said sold out. One store possibly hoarded GM for their employees but electronics guy gave her one after saying they sold out.

Got out of work early and figured I'd hit ToysRUs. They had more Toads and Bowsers than anything. I so didn't care about the SMS line, but I ended up buying/ordering them all today. I'm a dopey sucker for Nintendo.

i bought 2 rosalinas. one for my daughter that is open, and one sealed for me. havent made a dime scalping. i also gota gold mario, and the complete mario set but those are to collect with my lucario and rosalina.

 
Looks like my Game Stop site order for Toad still hasn't shipped. It's a pick up in store thing. Anybody have a history of these showing up in the store, but never getting a confirmation?

Yes! Just call they are notorious about having your orders sit there a day or two (especially if it's a rare item) and not calling. Then they tell you they sold it cause it was passed the 48 hour hold.

Rancho Cucamonga Best Buy had no new amiibo out. Asked for the game and dude brought me a bundle out. Toys R Us Ontario had plenty of each new figure (full cart in the electronics boat). Grabbed Toad and Bowser.

Shot in the dark but if anyone has an extra gold Mario they'd be willing to part with I am in need. Had to work until 3am so I missed out.
 
I have to head there to pick up my instore preordered Bowser, so I'll just ask. Hopefully they have him, and both my Toad and my brother's. Game Stop is too far from me to be making weekly trips.
 
Went to my local Walmart. Employee said manager kept all the Gold Mario and Toads for himself. Didn't even give the employees the chance to get one. Joy to the world

 
Went to Toys R Us on Gratiot- They had at least a dozen of each Mario Party Amiibo on the sales floor, with only 2 Toads sold when I stopped there, picked up Toad and Mario Party 10 with Mario- getting $5 thanks to a rewards coupon they sent me this morning.

Then I stopped at the Meijer on Little Mack and picked up Luigi, Bowser, Peach and Yoshi for just over $40 thanks to the $10 off $50 coupon they have today and tomorrow. 

No stress, no fuss, and below retail. It ALMOST makes you feel sad for the people losing their minds over a dumb looking gold repaint variant. ALMOST.

So you being late to get one equates to the manager keeping them all lol. Sorry, but if the manager really did that tgey would be out of a job, and don't give us the "I'm no snitch" line.

Congrats on saving $10 I guess. I'm sitting here with every amiibo USA variant all in mint condition and I didn't even pay for any of them due to re-selling dupes. It's like I'm getting paid to own these things. Who's these people stressing that you speak of?
 
I went to gamestop today and picked up SMS Bowser and a Mega Man.

I also went to two Walmarts and one target. A lady at walmart said people were lined up at midnight.. but that a guy came in at 7 and waited  until 9 to ask her if there were any gold marios left. She said no and then noticed that one was still in stock in her system..So she went and looked and someone had hidden it behind all the normal Amiibo. So lucky.

Are there any other slightly rare Amiibo from the SMS besides Toad(If he is)?.. I couldn't find any bowsers at the walmarts I went to. 

 
In all the hustle and bustle of Gold Mario fever, a question:  Is Lucario still in the wild, or have I missed that boat and need to trade/give in to ebay?  Just wondering if I should even waste time looking at TRU.

Are those going to stay there indefinitely? I'd feel weird having anyone over at my house and having a bunch of boxes hanging from a random wall at my place, I think they'd look better in some sort of display or on a shelf or better yet, opened so you can look at em :D

Nintendo's web site has a list of compatible amiibo for each game. You can use your original ones with Mario party but remember that they can only keep one game's data at a time so you'll lose any smash progress.

I was there at opening before heading down to work actually. There were about 7 others waiting for the store to open and nobody came away with anything except those that wanted the Yoshi/Bowser. Just saying what an employee mentioned to us. Though if being there before the store opens is late, I guess we could of been all Ferguson and busted into the store to steal what we wanted. Intelligence or literacy must not be strong with you.

my two gold marios just shipped. my walmart.com order status still says processing, but I just received one e-mail for each order saying that the items have shipped. says it should be delivered by March 26th (Thursday). I ordered the marios on March 16th

EDIT: the e-mails were from UPS, not walmart. UPS e-mails me directly whenever I have items being shipped through them. Walmart has not e-mailed me about the shipments

I was the only person at my SoCal TRU who knew what amiibos were when they opened. They had at least 4 Lucarios. Funny thing is, I went for Skylanders.
They had tickets printed for each new character and no one waiting to buy them lol.
 
I managed to grab what may or may not have been the last Gold Mario today in Wake Forest, NC. It was in a box behind the counter and the lady retrieved it for me when I asked if there were any left. Supposedly they had 3 more but didn't know where...anyway, I think this is the last one I'm going to break my neck over. Whatever I can get in the future then great, otherwise I won't let it drive me crazy.
