Are you sure it was preorder? I just went to my local gamestop and they said they can't preorder in their system, he can only take down names and call us if any comes in and reserve for us. I did this for Ness
 
Oh I wish, I didnt get in on the Amiibo craze until Mario Party 10 came out.  Coincidentally, its also when I got a wii with a broken pad for 40$.  Had I known about the amiibo craze then, I would have skipped out on it entirely!

I completely understand, I just started collecting amiibos 2 weeks ago, now I have a lot digging to do to find the older rare amiibos. I should have started since day one because I knew I would end up buying this drug sooner or later

The thing that gets me, is i KNOW i saw pits/wft/meta etc stockpiled forever ago and laughed at it because I didnt really understand it. Now im kicking myself for not having picked those up back then

 
They were in the process of putting out Meta Knights at the Best Buy in Oswego, IL about an hour or so ago. Grabbed two, and I saw another guy getting two. Not sure what's left, because I got them out of the tote, not off the pegs.

And if people didn't buy all the greeninja, deedee and others I wouldn't need to trade for those either. If I can't trade with someone I'll return them so someone else can buy them.

called KS bestbuy. Possible 8 to 12 meta knight for sale at 10 AM this Friday. If not it'll wednesday or friday next week. KS amiibo hunters be ready :)

Which store? There are quite a few within a 15 minute drive of state line. I need details that are better than that Masterkyo.

I sure 100% meta knight is on the way to Overland park, KS this friday or wednesday is the latest. Also, possible all ks bestbuy receiving meta knight this friday as well. Call your local bestbuy in KS tomorrow after 12 pm and check yourself :)

But YYYYY isn't as valuable as XXXXX so it's a terrible trade, it's at least worth a ZZZZZ. Also, I have an extra AAAAA from Wave 1 in perfect mint condition looking to trade for at least both BBBBB and CCCCC for anyone interested.

I personally have no issues with people picking up extras to trade.  In fact, I just started trying to "catch 'em all" since the Wave 4 pre-orders and now I'm only missing Ness, Pit, Wii Fit Trainer, Villager & Little Mac.

Recently, I traded away the following:

Jigglypuff x3 (2 from Target B&M, 2 from Target.com)

Meta Knight x3 (3 different Best Buy B&M)

Robin x1 (Walmart.com)

Super Mario Kart (SNES, Complete)

and got:

Captain Falcon

Fox

Greninja

Ike

King Dedede

Lucario

Marth

Rosalina

Shulk

 
I've got all of the current ones, but I'd like another Lucina for my friend. Alas, I don't know that I'll have much luck going the retail route--but I've got several I can trade. Any reliable trade forums/boards?

 
hey guys, I just watched the orders on playasia closely, really need Ness.

Lucina went up, put 2 in my cart for backup. waited on ness, waited on ness, waited on ness, ness went up.

Added 2 ness, clicked through, paypal, paypal said it would be $80, 20x4, ok

back to playasia, cheapest shipping was 12.99, ok, submit order

I get email confirmations for 2 lucinas, and a paypal confirmation for paying 52.99, 40 + shipping

no Ness in sight. Anyone know what happened?

Sounds like he got removed from your cart right before you finalized your checkout...once it sells out they immediately remove it from your cart whenever you refresh or move to the next step

dang man, how did Lucina outlast Ness by like 5 minutes. This is probably it. But I wish they had some sort of alert to tell me my cart changed. I would have thrown in any other rares I could find for trading etc.

although I quickly went back to check out his page and added him to my cart again, but then he really was taken out in the next window. So I would assume my order was in a viable window

According to Playasia the limit on Ness was 2. It probably got removed because you have 4 in your cart.
