I am concerned for next wave. Apart from Dr mario that is a mario, the others are not very popular among the general public and I am afraid nintendo will make less amiibos.

Never did I see the day last year that I would pre-order an Amiibo, let alone a 3-pack.  

I was amazed - walked into a Gamestop at 10:30am (an hour and a half after open), walk up to the cashier, and was able to pre-order the Retro Pack & Super Mario Maker no problem. Out the door in 2 minutes.  No idea how many the store had or what number I was, I didn't ask.

Now if only Ganondorf on release day will be this easy to obtain...

 
Hit the gym at 9, got my workout in and then headed to Newpark Mall in Newark right now at 10:35 and got a pre-order in. I don't have time to get up early and stand in line for toys.

Got my own pre-order in on this one. I don't normally go this far, but I love retro gaming. Wasn't going to take any chances on R.O.B.

 
Man this was hella easy. Number 4 in line for 47 at Kemah, TX. Hit another GS in Dickinson, TX around noon and got another pre-order under my brother's name. This is how it should be. Also, be sure to leave great feedback for your GameStop employees who help you today. It's the least we can do to say thanks for our silly little obsession.


Please let Wave 5B be this easy.... Please!!!!

What ever happened in this guy's life, where he found this to be acceptable or non-embarrassing behavior to do in, public ? I mean I got out of work at 10:30 AM and still managed to get the Retro 3-pack (I'm in Southern California). Forget, those long ass waits. For the people who camped out or waited more than 2 hours in line for the 3-pack, you're out of control and insane, lol.

 
I showed up at the GS located in the Salmon Creek district of Vancouver, Washington right at 9am, and was #27 in line. Sign on the door read that the had 30 available. No one behind me by the time I got to the registers. Was done by 915am, and got a bunch of Street-Passes on my 3DS!
 
Walked in at 2PM and got a pre-order.

Also, this might have been a sales ploy by the cashier, but he said that Gamestop will stop taking pre-orders on the set tomorrow evening.  Since I got mine, I don't really care all that much, but I thought anyone who's on the fence might want to go out and put some money down on it.

My friend was saying they might cut it off as well before qty is all gone. That way they can milk their "bundle" scheme online. But 24 hrs at least should be good for most, if you miss that, tuff noogies. LOL

I'm lucky to be in a college town because 40,000 people are gone during the summer. I went to gamestop at 10 and I was only the 9th person

Pre-ordered without a hassle or waiting in line about 2 hours after opening. Probably the first and last time I do it since it sounds like this is typically a pain for everyone. 

 
Walkied into the Irvine, CA (Crossroads) GS around 9:30am. Only 1 other person there buying and the sign on the door said they had 96 available. No line or crowd whatsoever. I have seen it busier there on a regular weekend.

Just came back and still had plenty of pre orders left lol. Told me they had received about 20 preorders out of 60 left. I was completely surprised lol

Stores are going to vary, but if they don't cut it off tonight (I doubt it), you'll be okay. Only ten people have went into my local Gamestop as of 5PM. Still 40 left.

 
Just got back from the Beverly Blvd Gamestop(Near La Brea) in Los Angeles..they had 48 pre orders available..it is now almost 3pm and I got one no problem. Im not a morning person so I would never go early to get an amiibo, she said they have PLENTY available for pre order

This morning decided I would go by and try to get these since I was out anyways. I got there about 9:30 & I was the only one there and paper on front said store had 42. Nice guy working there said he got there an hour early this morning  and was ready for an amiibo rush but it had gone smooth & he said there'd been about 10 pre ordered before me. I put $5 down and left really satisfied since it was no big ordeal in and out in less than 5 minutes. I think all amiibo hunters are going to have a fair shot at these and this is the way I prefer to do it. I asked if any others were up for pre order & he said no. I was glad they were $34.99 as well.

It honestly depends in the store / city, I recall reading some people had no issues getting Dark Pit going in just as they opened the doors or later in the day. The Best Buy I went to however I showed up at around 9:10am and was pretty much the last guy to get Dark Pit and there was still a huge chunk of people behind me.

 
I got off work 7am, decided to pass 2 gamestops each had around 5 ppl. Went home and slept. Wife went at 10am scored one. I went at 5pm to score another not knowing my wife then went at 6 to score 2 more for her and my son. Easy day for amiibos.

6:36pm EST. I just called my Gamestop after my friend told me about the exclusive 3 pack. Had them cancel my Mario Maker over the phone and roll it over to the trio pack to secure that reservation. =)

So its still in stock!

 
Glad to see everyone was able to get their pre-orders in without any issues. I went before going to dinner tonight and had no problems either. Considering the stock, you think they would just put it online, but oh well.

Walked into Gamestop and ordered the 3 pack today but not before some jerk came riding inside his bicycle when the doors opened trying to cut everyone else in line. fuck You Dave Mirra!
