I'm waiting to hear the stories about the scalpers who were first in line and bought up all the stock before the other people could get any.

Seeing reports of people waiting in the cold, it reminds me of what my wife and I did a couple weeks ago. Comic store here in MD had Scott Snyder signing on a Saturday. Wife and I stood in line for 5 hours in below freezing temperatures, 4 outside and 1 hour inside, to get his autograph. And we showed up 2 hours before the signing started. Final report was 1100 people showed up.

I also stood in line 11 hours for a Wii with my friend, but we're both crazy.

I got here just in time for the line to grow from 2 to 10. I'm really gonna have to book it to electronics.

There are some reports that people are being turned away.  The managers were telling them that Lucario won't be there until tomorrow.

2 hours seems a little excessive (I hope), especially since its not guaranteed they'll be out on the floor yet, or even released at all that day. TRU gave out tickets 15 min prior. Target might do the same. I was thinking maybe 15-30 min before store opened. Will that be too late?

I'm debating about going knowing how limited they are but I have my little boy with me, it's not fair for him.

Every region is probably different. In my area you shouldn't have to get there early at all. Just be there when they open.

 
There was about 15 people lined up outside my TRU in Louisville and they gave out cards to the first 6 in line as that's all they had after pre orders. I was second, thankfully. The others went home disappointed :(

How early did you get there? That's awful that there were more people in line in Louisville than Times Square NYC.
 
Lucario was my least sought after. I better get to target sunday morning at like 7 am. Cashier at target said new amiibos are street dated in register.
 
Just called my TRU in Glen Burnie, they only are selling for preorders. Luckily I picked up two preorder cards when the website canceled my original order. I'll be stopping there this evening.
 
Screw it, I'm just going to hope my online pre-order comes through. It's sounding like there are already a bunch of people waiting in line.  Would rather not be that late for work for a super slim chance at even getting one :p

Yeah, truly absurd. I'm going to try to go buy one in a few minutes because I'm collecting each figure in unopened NA packaging.

For all the 'fans' out there that open and play with their figures, I have no idea why they didn't either pre-order one or else or buy from Amazon.de or Amazon.fr for 15 euros without having to leave their chairs.

But the truth is, people love getting into the craze.

I have two preorder cards also. My wife can't make it to the store until noon (central). I sure hope they do it right and hold the preorder stock.

 
I'm surprised to hear reports of lines in front of TRUs. I really didn't think Lucario would be that big of a deal. My TRU doesn't open for another 40 minutes, and I'm at work until at least early afternoon, so I might be out of luck. Just hoping my online pre-orders come through. i'm annoyed that they haven't shipped yet, especially if stores are actually stocking Lucario, but that's TRU for you. 

 
The 30 plus Rosalinas Targets have reportrdly been getting might end up a whole lotta nothing if most are pre-orders. Starting to hate then almost as much sa flippers.
 
Yeah this shit ain't gonna last. Times square TRU had a decent amount and it didn't last more than 5 minutes. Good luck on rosalina
