may grab captain falcon if it doesnt sell out immediately. king dedede is really the only future amiibo I will keep. I am planning to just keep ike and shulk sealed

I've talked to two reps and they've confirmed it hasn't shipped and is just sitting in the warehouse. They can't cancel it either. They keep saying it should ship soon. Should ain't good enough. I need my Captain!

 
Just grabbed 2 Zelda's and Diddy from my local FYE, Mac already sold out. Apparently 4 per character per store plus Wave 1 restocks of 4 per character sans WFT, Marth, and Villager. He was told Pit, Luigi, and Captain Falcon will be in on 12/31.
 
I knew that Pit, Captain Falcon, and Luigi were going to be delayed *sigh* 

The worst things happen to all of my mains. Can't wait for them to not make a Duck Hunt Dog Amiibo due to "characters not selling"

 
I really wish Nintendo would've said something about there being a limited supply of WFT, Marth, and Villager before launch. It really pisses me off that they made so few of them and now are just done with them.
 
Anyone had any problems with Pre-order Online for In Store pickup at Best Buy? I know these are sometimes hard to come by and don't want to order without knowing they will definitely be there.

Someone mentioned yesterday that their pickup for wave 1 didn't secure them a few of the scarce ones. Online preorders for shipping seem far more reliable.

 
i went into my local TRU on lunch break today, and they had the usual 9, but had what i suspect to be 3 cases of them on a cart. All 3 boxes said do not release until 11-21-14. Has anyone seen a case breakdown of these? Is there some chance that the Rare 3 are in there? I am going back 1st thing tomorrow.

There's a chance. I sell things door to door and still have a few WFTs left. No one's buying though.
 
I don't think there is a case layout per say, I believe each case has the same amiibo in it, so for example a full case of Mario or a full case of Peach. I'd guess they were just extras they didn't have room for.

 
So, marth, villager, and wft officially discontinued, nice. Villager and wft look like dung, glad I got my marth that I preordered. I honestly would have never expected any of these to be rare, figured the big N was going to go all out with these. Definitely going to flip any I may come across in stores, though 💃

If some crazy reason that my three I have pre-ordered for store pickup aren't there, can I switch it over to shipping? I'd hate to lose out on these (especially if they happen to be the rare ones) over some BB ridiculousness...

That I don't know, it's never happened to me. I would imagine you'd just have to cancel your store pickup (or they cancel it for you if they're unable to secure the figures) and place a new order online.

 
I refuse to do preorder pickup at stores. I've never had it go right, and there have been a few times where I've had to physically pull the item myself from the sales floor because the workers could not find my "pre-ordered" item. Always just have it shipped to me, I can wait a few days for the comfort of not having to gamble. Exaclty what I did with the GOTG Steelbook. Too much choas over that.

Beware if you order an Amiibo from Best Buy. Sometimes they package them in boxes, but a lot of the time they just throw them in padded mailers. My Yoshi (thankfully a common one) arrived like this: http://imgur.com/a/NXkPs.

I did the B2G1 glitch and had my three pre orders and three common Amiibos. Got the message that all three commons were ready for pickup so went in and they only had Mario and Link pulled and I had to go back and grab my Kirby. So now I'm worried that my Captain Falcon and Zelda won't be there Sunday (next Friday? Whenever the actual release is) and my King Dedede will be long forgotten by February... Ugh...

Yeah I've gotten two packages with three games in them in the last couple weeks that weren't even in bubble mailers, just gray plastic. Other times stuff's packed like it's a Ming vase. There's no consistency with that company.

Nintendo seriously needs to cut this shit. I feel worse of the little kids who want to own these things but won't be able to preorder them or buy them on release date.

I've been very fortunate that all of my amiibos have shipped in boxes, even the ones who shipped by themselves (which include Marth, Villager, and Wii Fit Trainer, strangely enough). I'm also glad I have the Japanese versions to fall back on in case certain figures end up being rare in America.

Possibly a difference in the small copyright text on the bottom of the figure, and the Japanese packaging has a different Smash Bros. logo, but the figures themselves look and function identically.

Of course it's YMMV, and likely depends on your area. I've ordered three sets of Amiibos from Best Buy and they've all been nicely boxed with plenty of air pillow packing.

I was about to order wave 2 off toys r us but they took them off. It seems that captain falcon might be the one running out. The only place I checked where they have him is Best Buy. They are already selling for around 20 on ebay. I wanted to collect them all but now it seems that wont be possible considering I didn't get the first 3 amiibos and I wont pay 100 to 200 for them. I might just pre-order the exclusives and sell them for a higher price on ebay since their pre-orders are also running out. 

 
Really regretting not buying Villager on launch day when I saw the 1 copy in the area. I never even saw Marth.

Gotta love Nintendo and their bizarre mentality about customer treatment.

 
Buddy works at best buy, told me the system pulls up Zelda, Diddy kong, and little mac. The others aren't showing yet. But from the looks of things, Zelda is getting most stock (a lot), Diddy I getting a decent number. Little mac is 0-2 per store. Just a heads up. Told me these current inbound transfer numbers.

My marth shipped boxed and arrived bent, creased and slightly torn.

Yet my link was shipped in a padded mailer and arrived fine.

All others were boxed and arrived fine.

So it's really based on the carriers if it gets damaged in transit.

I'll swap marth in a heartbeat but I doubt I'll have the option. I don't open them and want them as pristine as possible. At least yoshi is common and can be returned/exchanged.

I was surprised when I found two Villagers just sitting their underneath the racks of other Amiibo at Target today.  Seems one of my two Gamestops has one as well as a Wii Fit trainer that I can hopefully pick up tomorrow.

 
This is crazy. Nintendo should provide figures to the retailers that want them. This is the worst distribution I have ever seen! Something told me this would be a problem so I pre ordered all of wave 1 at Best Buy for shipping, they shipped them weird but all showed up in good shape. Got in on the B2G1 glitch on Sunday, have all the others pre ordered at Best Buy, plus Luciaro and Shulk.
