I got an e-mail from Best Buy saying my order was ready for pickup today, so I went to pick it up and I was told they have them in the back but got a letter from corporate saying they can't sell them until the 17th.  I showed them the email I got, and he literally said "too bad, it was a mistake on corporates part, and they dont come out until the 17th).  I assured him the street day for them was today and he told me to take it up with corporate.  I called Best Buy, and they gave me a $10.00 gift card for my hassle, and I'll just go pick them up on the 17th.

 
i fucking hate all you nerds. imagine a little kid wanting his favorite character but can't find it cus some neckbeard drooling snot eating douchebag bought them all to put them on ebay so they can make a few bucks like a bum. #die

I am actually having a lot of fun with these amiibos and I have yet to even open up one:) Its kind of exciting trying to hunt down those rare figures and reading about all the speculation. If every figure was widely available then this topic wouldn't be on the 44th page of discussion. Hope there continue to be rare figures with each wave.

 
Hope Rosalina is not really oos.

The current line up is quite the sausage fest lol. And the Zelda one looks likes shit so would be cool to have Rosalina in the collection.

These will be all over the place in a week or two. It's "rare" because it just hit shelves.
 
There's a bogus website claiming that Rosalina sold out. I say that they posted the story just for hits. The site looks so shitty that I won't even post the link.
 
I honestly think the Rosalina never went on sale. Still makes me scared. I am really only gunning for the characters i am playing (Ness, Rosalina, Zero Suit) so I hope I can nab those whenever they hit store shelves. 

 
I got Diddy Kong at Toys R Us along with Zelda. Little Mac I got it from Gohastings.com. Great source as barely no one goes there for these.

I'm not sure. I was in for $20... Shipping is another $10, and I balked.
I'll probably regret it.

Twitter, why all the hate. Let me break this down.

1. some people are collecting them and enjoying them
2. some people have them sealed and sitting there
3. some people are buying 5+ (buying them out) and posting on ebay preventing others from even getting one
4. some people could care less and have not bought one

the list goes on. there is a reason why nintendo is in business. they are in the business to make money. and money is what nintendo are making.

personally, if i was collecting these and i wanted a figure i am aware what i am walking into. hence, i talked my sister and myself out of buying one. thats just me. to each his own.

Gizmo GC, i hope for your sake you are right. i feel that it is very a'hole of you flaunting that you saw
them on the shelve and didnt pick them up. Perhaps, because this is a community, and CAG has done so much for me, I would have picked them up for a fellow CAG since they are having a hard time picking them up. That is just me tho.
 
so 3 hours after my delay notice on Zelda, I received another email from Amazon.  That my new estimated delivery date is 12-22-14 thru 12-24-14

Does that mean it'll ship next week?

 
Not sure whether to bite on Rosalina/Lucario from Playasia to be safe, or just wait it out. Part of my brain just REALLY doubts the numbers of these exclusives could  be that small, but then again Nintendo is being fucking stupid with the whole situation and wouldn't be surprised if it was like pre-orders +1 extra (Especially for Shulk)

 
I was traveling from Central California to Northern California today and went to 10 different stores. Toys R Us by far always had the most stock of Amiibo, but all 10 stores were either out of Wave 2 or I could tell they hadn't put any wave 2 out yet, though some did have a few Zelda. Luckily I was able to get all  3, Diddy, LM, and Zelda,  on Friday at a local Toys R Us.

I'll put it like this, I just spent $30 for Rosalina including shipping. If I am able to order one from Target and receive it then, I'll sell it on eBay for $30 plus shipping lol. Worst case I have her to complete my set without paying $80+ on eBay.

Ugh, damn you for making a good point. These amiibo's are already killing my wallet, forking out 30$ for just one is not in my nature as a cheapass.

Moreso Lucario for me atm, I was planning on giving Rosalina a couple more days atleast unless more news shows up.

I always seem to be in class or busy when Lucario goes on sale...and my order glitched up last time somehow so I missed out on the 2nd restock.

I kind of regret opening up my Fox.

I think I may buy another one and start keeping them all in the packaging, they'll look nice hanging up in the boxes.

This is pretty much my situation: I assumed that Target has actually sold out on the figures (instead of them actually not yet starting the pre-orders, something that I want to do with Rosalina), so I was tempted to order it from Play-Asia. However, upon learning that I can't cancel the order once I made it, I'm becoming hesitant to do so in case I'm able to get it at Target (or another site).

 
Yeah, not a fan of being stuck with an order and still managing to find it nearby, especially if its nearly triple MSRP. And I'm not a person who uses Ebay/Amazon to sell stuff

 
I just got a marth, villager and WFT on ebay for 30 a piece. I am sure I will feel stupid when they get rereleased in three months, but I am paying for peace of mind at this point.

 
I am keeping all mine sealed for now, also trying to get 2 copies of some I think will be especially hard to find. I'm not going to sell any on ebay though, I might be willing to trade/sell my extras to cag's eventually but they would have to assure me they aren't going to flip them on ebay. I'm not supporting that garbage, kids out there want these things to play with for crying out loud. I'm a collector so buying stuff and keeping it sealed is a normal thing for me, I don't like to flip things like this for a quick buck.
