Seems like all of Wave 3 is up for pre-order again at TRU, including Lucario and Ike. They really might have done a reset on all Wave 3 pre-orders just to get a better grasp and prepare.

And TRU just cancelled my Pit pre-order. 

And I just tried to order a Cap Falcon at TRU and my cart got emptied before I could submit.

I got in a Captain Falcon order on TRU.com, but I am half expecting it to get cancelled like my Pit. This is a backup in case my Amazon Canada order gets cancelled.

Let's break up the bitching and anger for a minute. Here's my (opened) 'miibos on display so far. I know I'm missing pretty much all of wave 1, but most of them won't be hard to find.

I just talked with TRU support and the guy had no idea apparently why Lucario preorders got canceled and just recommended I preorder it again.  :/  

I had also preordered Pit and he just said that it could be backordered or taken down by the manufacture... No real help there either.

 
Yeah, TRU.com is a shithole for things like this. I ordered something last week that was a hot item due to it being on sale so it was constantly not in stock but in one of my half an hour refreshes it showed up in stock so I ordered it victoriously. Now anyone that has had experience with them canceling shit knows usually if you manage to get something that was posted to be in stock but really wasn't at the time of your ordering you almost immediately get a cancellation email. Well, didn't get one so I was happy I had locked one in and then decided to forget about it since their shipping sucks unless you order something expensive. Yesterday, a week after ordering it I get the dreaded cancellation email so understandably I was pretty pissed.

 
Well, I got my actual pre-order notification from TRU on Lucario. We will see how long that lasts. I'm hoping my TRU has pre-order cards available when I drop by later today.

 
Complete crap from toys r us. They went from being the place to get amiibo to I'm never shopping there again quick. How are you going to have a sale, let the orders go through, charge me already, cancel the order, and then have the nerve to put lucario back up for sale again. Grrrrr
 
If you guys are willing to pay around $17 extra. Rosalina is available at Play Asia. Should be compatible with the NA Wii U. Sucks to pay premium price but I rather pay an extra $17 than over $100 on Ebay.
 
Went to put in a Lucario preorder on toysrus.com. When I initially started going through the order process it was showing free shipping, now they want to charge $8 for shipping. Normally that wouldn't be a big deal but if they're gonna limit it to 1 then that effectively makes Lucario $22. If I want to get 2 of them that means I'll still have to go to the store day of release so really there isn't much point in preordering anyway.

Well, Best Buy had my Little Mac in-store pickup. So far they've been the most reliable for preorders for me. I know that isn't everyone's experience, though with all the cancelations I saw yesterday.
 
I reordered a couple and called to see if TRU would honor the B1G1 %40 off promotion. She said they would but I would have to call when they shipped. I have a reference number they game me so we'll see how that goes.

Side note: she first said I'd get 40%, then 50%, then B1G1 free. So we'll see what really happens.
 
Ordered a Lucario and Luigi at BOGO 40% off, but Luigi hasn't been canceled and still reflects the 40% off price. Just reordered Lucario, no big deal since I'm still getting the discount.

I had the same idea. I got Pit and Captain Falcon with the 3 for $10 deal and then I got a bunch of other figures with the buy one get one 40% off deal, going to see if they'll honor those deals as well. Of course, no more Pit or Captain Falcon for me.
 
Rosalina is the only one I need, as long as my Lucario doesn't cancel and BBY comes through on all of my other Amiibos. Target is slowly chipping away at my soul each day.

Same exact thing happened to me. The 40% off Zelda softens the blow a little.

Zelda arrived yesterday in a gigantic bubble mailer. Packaging is in really rough shape; bent cardboard and crushed / wrinkled plastic bubble. I've been opening all of mine so it's not a problem but there are going to be a lot of upset people if they ship Lucario like that.

 
Also got my B1G1 40% off Lucario's canceled. Glad I was following this thread, or, I probably wouldn't have gone looking for a TRU email.

Guess I need to order him in-store.
 
I see a lot of anger for retailers - and that's valid - but this smells like a Nintendo supply issue. Best Buy and TRU cutting orders on the same day? Sounds like retailers responding to supplier info. The lack of communication from all parties is piss poor, and they'd be better served to just say something. It looked like Nintendo had a goldmine on their hands with all the hype around potential rarity, and, ironically, maybe there's been so much demand that Nintendo can't meet it. What a cluster fuck.

This. My pre-orders are still intact. Though from Wave 2 only have Diddy and Zelda being shipped. Falcon is delayed til Dec. 30th. These orders I made were on the weekend they had the B2G1 glitch.

Well darn... I left for an evening to celebrate a birthday and come back to 50+ pages... figured either Rosalina went up, or all heck broke loose... looks like I was right on both accounts :(

The cards with multiple amiibo characters listed on them have multiple sku barcodes on the back to be scanned by the employee. The receipt that prints out will show the correct sku for whatever character(s) you pre-ordered. Still got my card(s) and receipt(s), so hopefully that means something to them -- though probably unlikely. (Though they're obviously still keeping my $1 for each of those right now).

To be honest, nearly all Chinese manufacturing plants close down for about a month or so between January - February.
