Id rather just go in store and put $1 down and have the card for Lucario than pay all that extra on Ebay. Im hoping by going that route I can walk into the store upon release and bring it home. No shipping worries.

 
If my on-hold @ Target Falcon pulls through today, I have two others on pre-order.  One from Amazon Canada and one from TRU this morning.  If neither of those get cancelled, I'm willing to keep them open if anyone wants them for cost.  I might be able to just change the shipping address and have them go directly to you.  If not I'd need a little bit more for shipping.

If I don't get any interest, I'll probably cancel them tomorrow.  I have no desire to have multiples.

Tried 2 Targets that had them in stock. One claimed it was a computer glitch and they didn't have any. Walked up at the other one while an employee was buying two of them, and the rest were being held for people on their way who had called in.
 
Got a falcon on hold at target. Called some game stops. Most said they are getting him monday or Tuesday since they don't get shipments on the weekend one store got 5 but they sold all in an hour
 
Just got my Zelda and Diddy amiibos in the mail. Also got an email saying that Little Mac is being shipped.

This is BestBuy by the way.

Picked up my captain falcon hold at Target

Asked the guy if they had anymore and he opened all the boxes they had from shipment for me, was awesome

They only had Zelda, Diddy, and Donkey Kong along with 1 box of Falcon
 
If curious as to others' motivation for buying amiibos... is it for using them with the Wii U, simple collection, or flipping them for profit? I read somewhere that they could be used in the future on the 3DS somehow, but I could be wrong.

 
Got both Captain Falcon and Diddy Kong from a local Target today. They had just put them out/were opening the boxes. Went to other local one and they said they couldn't find them. Lame.

He could get fired for that, assuming he was working on the clock. At least that's what I was told back when I worked at Target.

Just wondering who are the cags from Philly here so we can hunt some amiibo down I was able to get a few captain falcons for cag members. Guy opened the box right in front of me and 2 caps came out

Actually I was thinking the same thing when I read that. I used to work there, and they've got even more strict on holding items for yourself or employees since I left.
 
1st night Rosalina goes up, I'm asleep. 2nd night I stay up to see if Rosalina will go up again, she does not, 3rd night Rosalina goes up, I decided to sleep. UGH!!!

This is so frustrating! It really should not be this hard! 

 
Best Buy can't find my Little Mac for pickup in-store, but offered to ship one to me. Will likely just cancel since I snagged one at TRU last week. Would only want one to customize at this point.

That's what I thought, so I assumed that maybe he had just put them away until his shift ended, and was now buying them. But no, he paid, the other guy bagged them up and put the bag behind the counter, and then he literally went back to stocking video games. I'm dead serious.
 
My Lucario order also got canceled as well... Tried ordering it again in store and because it's been taken off the website it can't be done until it pops back up... Or I'll just have to go the morning of and grab him. :/ Managed to find Luigi there today and picked the best one out of the bunch. My TRU still doesn't have Little Mac and Diddy Kong in... yet they have a whole 30+ pegs full of other amiibos (but no Captain Falcon, Pit, Villager, WFT, and Marth).

Thats a pretty big change. This looks like its officially sold out now, rather than just not yet available to pre order. Man... If thats the case, she is going to be very valuable.

Yes.

The New 3DS has NFC so it will work with them. Smash is the only current game but there's other (so far Japan only) titles in development. I've seen something about a possible portal for the current 3DS but I don't know if that's happening or just wishful speculation.

Man all of these people buying up pre-orders on eBay... If that release date gets pushed past 2/1, lots of people are going to end up being scammed or just not have product shipped... That could get ugly.

 
Friend was able to find a Diddy, Luigi and Falcon at one of the Target's here in Chicago just now, ordered him a Little Mac off Amazon so he's all caught up now. Thanks to whoever mentioned that they were in the area.

 
It's been a LONG day, much to report! First the good. Most Targets in the area recieved 4 Captain Falcons, if any. None of them received any Pit though, nor do any other store. I'll be posting in the trading thread my extra Captain Falcon for a Pit.

Now the bad news -_-. I reported on Monday that one of my BB had wave 2 out, but if course they couldn't ring them up. The MOD put them aside for me and told me to come to store pickup on Friday and they would be saved. When I went in today, no one could find Little Mac. Another manager took awhile to get back to me, but said it appeared Corporate had them ship them out to help fulfill online orders because they were back ordered online. This manager was pretty rude and told me to call the 800 #. I did so and long story short, I was told to keep checking, and if I didn't have any luck, call back =\. So one BB cancelled my in-store pickup and the other gave away the one they put on hold for their mistake. Needless to say it's been a very long day with Best Buy.
 
Just happened to go by one of my Tagets with the intent of hunting down a manager, and saw 3 on the shelf. Apparently they were buried at the bottom of the shipment box....
 
Does it really matter though? I can't help feeling Nintendo's going to do some amiibo service at the end of the hype train where you can get all the amiibos, rare included, if and only if you purchase every other amiibo bundled with it

There was a report that the cancellation email was a tech error and that they are actually going to fulfill it.

...but is Lucario shipping now? Serious question, I haven't been picking up many Amiibos but wanted to let you know on that tidbit of info anyway.
