So I bit the bullet and pre-ordered various Wave 3 Amiibo from Best Buy, Newegg, and Amazon with plenty of overlap. Pit was the number one Amiibo, so in his honor I'm all in on this Amiibo business now.

I have one pre-ordered, but I will also be at Target the moment the open to pick up a few to flip. I'm sorry, but why should I always be the righteous one when everyone is just in it for themselves

I try not to hate flippers, since it's just part of the game, but man, it's tough when I see $50 Pit's available from resellers on Amazon.

 
I love how Target took their Captain Falcon page down. Too many people (like me) were probably going into the stores and asking to get them from the back before Target was supposed to start selling them.

According to NeoGAF Rosalina went up for a few minutes on the app. I can click the button right now but she never gets into the cart. Maybe she might open up here in the next hour again.

 
It even mentions on Lucario's TRU page that he qualifies for free shipping "on select video games & movies preorders", and when you click on the terms for that offer you can click to a list of eligible items, where he's also listed. But that free shipping sure doesn't reflect in the cart!

Man, they just can't get their act together it seems. I'll take my chances on the rumor of my initial preorder not actually being cancelled because it was a glitch on their end, and the in-store preorders I placed at two different stores today as potential backup. Only need one Lucario, but I'm sure as heck not gonna get needlessly gouged on shipping because of ANOTHER glitch, on top of their greedy $1 "TRU Tax"!

 
Captain Falcon was up too, I ordered him to get free shipping, and when I got to the order page it took it out and charged me shipping again.  $&#* this.

 
just ordered 3 pit and 1 lucario from TRU website, and I still got charged shipping. On top of that the order total was like $66 for the 4 which is crazy. Is that even worth it (assuming order doesn't get cancelled)?

 
Stupid TRU. 8 bucks for shipping are you kidding me? I don't feel like adding an extra 36 bucks to my cart either for free shipping. I'd rather just pay the 23 bucks total for Pit to save having to spend the additional 36+.

I already have Pit pre-ordered from BBY, but ehhhhh with them.

I'll be heading into NYC today (again) and checking Nintendo World. One of my friends picked up a Pit there yesterday, so I hope they have more and the Captain to boot. Otherwise, there might be a local TRU I can check as well. But we'll see what happens there first.

Pit should actually qualify for free shipping. He's listed as an eligible item for free shipping on select pre-orders. I'm gonna place the order and then bug them to deduct the shipping costs.

How did I miss the link? Haha, it's too early. Thanks for pointing that out and thanks yokofox for posting it. Got him ordered! With the driving and time I was willing to spend on him today, it was well worth the shipping charges.
 
Checked this thread yesterday afternoon and saw that Captain Falcons were becoming available at Target. Checked Target's online inventory and sure enough one not too far away has them in-stock. Rushed over and ended up waiting over an hour for them to try to find the 4 they had recieved. Turned out the smaller box the 4 were in was in a larger box that did not look like a normal Nintendo box, and it was on a pallet 20 feet away from me the whole time. But I ultimately got a Captain Falcon so I happy.

I also picked up a TRU Lucario pre-order card in-store at Huntsville.

Now all I need to find is Pit.
 
Whatever, I pre ordered Lucario and Rosalina at amazon.fr just now for $38 shipped. I can live with that. Got Pit pre-ordered at Best Buy so hopefully that doesn't turn I to a hassle either. And found Captain and Luigi at Target last night.

Like others have said, not making that mistake again. Have all the wave 3 pre-ordered now, most of them at Gamestop.
 
Luckily, I was able to contact a TRU CSR to remove the shipping fee on Pit before the listing was taken down on my order.
