Anyone with one of the imported euro amiibo, can I get a pic of the bottom of the base?  I don't care about packaging, I just want to make sure the figure itself is entirely indistinguishable from its US counterpart

The DVD sales website deepdiscount.com is accepting pre-orders for Pit, Falcon, Zelda, and several wave three amiibo. I cant speak much to their reputation. I ordered some DVD's from them a couple years ago and had no issues, but never preordered anything. I'm going to give it a shot.

I remember hearing stories of how long it would take them to ship orders (e.g. weeks, sometimes), so I'm too wary of them to want to preorder something that may end up being limited. Hope it works out for you and anyone else who tries it, though.

I think falcon should become readily available. He is one of the amiibos for mario kart so I imagine nintendo would pump out plenty. I suppose time will tell

Did I miss Rosalina? I see her page has changed. 

And what's this deal with TRU orders being reinstated and some not being reinstated? I got emails saying mine was reinstated (though it was one order).

I was having a hard time pulling the trigger because I had heard the stories other people went through, but I went ahead and did it when I saw that they accepted paypal for payment. I know if you get screwed on a transaction paypal is pretty good about helping you get your money back. Ill let you guys know what happens, and in the meantime will probably still be looking for a Pit and Falcon at retail.
 
So far the only released Amiibos I don't have is Marth, Capt. Falcon (Well, I have it preordered at BB...but we've seen how that's been going), Pit and Villager....oh, and Yoshi (Probably will snatch him up Wednesday). Is there any difference between buying imported vs. US version?

I'm beyond confused as to when it actually sold out.

I just remember it going up for pre-order for like half an hour at like 5 in the morning, and then again for 5-10 minutes a day or two later... those are the only two times I was aware of it going up. I was under the impression both of those times were errors or mistakes. Didn't realize that it actually did sell out.:whistle2:S

 
Thanks for posting about Deep Discount. They are a bottom of the barrel online retailer but I do not have a Pit Pre-Order in place anywhere (Target cancelled mine) so even if they flake out its worth a shot.

ALSO Pit was only 11.90 with no NYS Tax. Good deal if it pans out.

I doubt half the people that ordered through Target.com will get their order and the other half that ordered a shit ton will get them.

It's not like target.com hasn't ever screwed up right?

I'm more than confident than finding one in store when they get released, I'm sure it will be a Sunday though, it's going to be a cluster fuck!

If you thought toysrus was bad....

Anything rare or out of stock with deep discount = money pit. You ain't getting that money back without a chargeback
 
At least rosalina has a set date and we can go at store open or be ready to purchase online. As long as we're prepared it shouldn't be a problem. Unlike the current wave where no one knows what the release date is/was.

unless Ofcourse rosalina gets delayed.

The 19th, in the early morning, was the "last" pre-order window before Target made their statement. Then on the 20th, it was up for a very short time if you had the mobile app.

I've now officially been sucked into this Amibos business.... I thought I could avoid it, I really did... But it's impossible... When I saw them at Target the other day I was just in awe of them for some reason.... THis sucks, this is going to end up costing hundreds of dollars... :(

 
The sad part is with the Amiibo craze in full effect there are people out there without hesitation who would pay that price for Lucario. I bet at this point even Nintendo is kicking themselves for not charging more for these figures.

I would gladly pay more if Nintendo would have sold each wave of figures on their own website in a box set format containing all of the figures to save me from driving all over town daily to find these things. I've probably spent more in gas already then I have on the Amiibos. I wonder how many waves there will be in the future?
 
According to target stock tracker Delran NJ target has 3 captain falcons.

I don't know if that's accurate or near any of you, but it was spot on for me yesterday.
 
Anyone think it's funny how Nintendo manufactures 500,000,000 Marios and Links but doesn't come close to making enough Marths or Pits or Diddy Kongs to satisfy even 1/4 the market when people are going crazy over these things?

That said, I hope you get it!

Find an employee, the least douchey, have them key the dcpi into their pda, then ask them to check the back. This is what I did w falcon.

All philly cags: as someone who worked retail before, keep your eyes on the stores after lunch time. Ups and FedEx always delivered around 12-1 pm. As soon as they are delivered they are scanned and should be in the system right away.
