I know 2 people collecting these & they don't even own a wii u. One is a hoarder doing it to resell on CL & the other is using them for extra decoration of his game room. They are just neat little figures to him.

 
Anyone else ordered Lucario from Toys R Us on eBay? It says delivery by December 31. So what happens when they don't deliver it by that date. Can we cancel it?

I am finally seeing people say they would not mind cards. How much would a card have to cost for you to think it would be a waste? They would provide the same functionality, just lack the awesome plastic.

The Captain Falcons that I ordered from Gamestop just four days ago already arrived. I'm impressed. It's all thanks to some poor employees that had to work holiday hours, I'm sure.

Having not really looked at an Amiibo in real life before, I'm a little surprised at how tiny they actually are, though I shouldn't expect too much for the price (this is, of course, assuming I'm not desperate enough to pay $30+ for one). I don't think anyone's having a lot of trouble finding Falcon, so now I get to decide on what to do with the extra - mine's getting opened since I have no desire to keep a clunky box lying around (not much living space here).

 
No fck the cards no one actually cares about amiibo other than their collectibility...right? But srsly why make those cards when the whole cool factor was that they were figures in the first place. Nintendo is literally so smart and so retarded at the same time

The blind bag thing would kill it for me. I have no desire to get the cards as I have opened all my Amiibos but if it was up to chance who I got, then I'd be really put off by it because of not getting ones I didn't have (aka the big 3).
 
Still hoping (though I know it's moronic to think so) that they would re-release the big 3 even in small quantities to have a chance that wasn't a ridiculous price. Have all of wave 1 except them and have all of wave 2 except Little Mac and Pit and now I have that urge to get them all and overpay for them. I need to stick with my regular plan and just stick to the main franchises and get favs from Smash (Captain, Rosalina, and maybe one day R.O.B.)

I emailed them the other day and they said the date was wrong as Lucario was set for February release

Huh... never thought of it that way.

I wonder how they plan to do the cards, if individually or in packs. Plus, I wonder how much they'll cost since they're not gonna just simple cards since they'll need the chip or whatever.:whistle2:k

Yes I sent them a message once my other Lucario pre orders were re instated. They told me they were back ordered and as long as they were in back ordered status they would cancel and refund my money.
 
Wow, reading through the thread these amiibos seem to be pretty popular. The only one I want is Megaman for my Megaman collection. Might pick up a Link. Not really a big fan of Smash Bros. so I probably won't use them, just keep them sealed. Should I pre-order Megaman?

Finally gave in and overpaid for a Japanese Villager, so I'm up to date on all characters and preorders except Rosalina. Is the thought that they will be in stores on the morning of 12/31?
 
Where do I find on of the add one where it'll give you a notification is something has been changed on a page? (AKA Rosalina's page)
 
Does Target use a rolling authorization on your debit/credit for pre-orders like Best Buy? I managed to place an order for Rosalina last week and the authorization fell off after a few days, but it came back today. I've never pre-ordered anything from Target so I don't know if this is normal for them or if it had anything to do with the listing on the site changing from "add to cart" back to "pre-order now."

One GameStop had a CP since this morning, I called and they said they sold it, now they're closed but it still says they have one online.

Those bastards...

Or maybe it was an honest mistake.
