They've already said they are doing all of the Smash Bros roster, so yeah... In fact, since Ganondorf is not unlockable in Smash Wii U, I wouldn't be surprised to see him in wave 4 (my assumption being they are trying to get through all the starting roster characters first to avoid "spoilers")

Every gamestop employee ever has always said everything that is not currently in stock is uber-rare. It's a ploy to push preorders. "Should have preordered this rare item, you'd have gotten one". Even if they don't mention preorders, that's why they say that shit.

I'm just trying to have a conversation about various nintendo figures. You guys are the ones getting incredibly defensive about me mentioning a toy other than the divine amiibos.

My brother got me this for Christmas last year haha. It's proudly displayed on top of my computer desk without the restriction of it's cardboard prison.

Just picked up a neat display stand from Kmart. Works well with Amiibo's ! Have a spot on top tier reserved for Pit, which will be here later this week :)

Is Meta Knight only available by pre-order at BB?  Or should I stop by on release day?  Same with Rosalina... I missed out on both chances to order it online =/

You and me both man. I wasn't going to get into them until they were on sale (as in, $6-7 per figure) but as soon as they started to pick up, I started buying them.

But I wasn't aware that there were cases for each character. I though the cases were of mixed figures (i.e., X number of character A, Y number of character B, and Z number of character C), at least that's what I heard at GS and Target.

The day they were released, at least at Walmat, they received 1 to 2 cases for each figure, each case had four figures.

Yep. Realized afterwards. Ive already rearranged them 10 different ways. Wanted to show the display stand more than anything, as its a pretty nice way to store them for quite cheap !
 
I just did the instore web preorder thing myself for Little Mac and Pit.

Should be here next week. Excited.

I wonder why you have to go in store to do this instead of the web site.

Perhaps this can prevent some level of scalping?

This is some BS I went to the store and the guy said he couldn't and by the time I get a chance to go tomorrow it'll be gone. This is the 5th time they have thrown me wrong information.
 
I just went to a Gamestop in Phoenix less than 10 minutes ago and asked if they do Web In Store orders.  All 3 employees yelled YES! with excitement...  I said I wanted to order Pit and Little Mac, which one of them looked up but had disbelief that they would be available.  Sure enough they were!  I asked about shipping and he said it was free, so I only asked for 1 of each.

I personally think they are doing this to control scalping, but more importantly, get people into the store to hopefully buy more stuff!  This visit prompted me to use my $5 off Kongregate coupon on a 2nd Donkey Kong, so it did serve it's purpose and I got what I wanted.

But really, the process is terrible because the associate has to type out the whole order which took about 5 minutes.  Not a good business plan for busy stores.

I called two game stop and two employees said they could sell me the amiibo preorders after 48 hours if the customer hasn't picked it up. Both of these employees also directed me to a store with available stock non preorders. Called that store and was told no stock. I go to the stores after 48 hours. The employees said they would it to me the day after Christmas. Well I go and they said the 48 hour preorders hold was changed to one month. So they just ran me in circles. Pretty sure the store that had stock was keeping them for employees or friends or family of theirs cuz three gamestops directed me there.

I'm visiting family for the Holidays here in Phoenix and I'm glad these are being shipped to home! I placed an order at the GS on E Thomas and the one off Camelback. At Camelback I was told they were not available but then I asked her to check the warehouse stock which she did and saw them in stock. She immediately told her coworkers Pit was available and to call Bryan ASAP to order lol.

All the stores near me have been cleaned out of Fox. There were Gamestops that had them but they were on reserve or claimed that the online stock checker was slightly out of date.
