Is there any difference between the U.S. and German (which I'm assuming is general European) packaging?

Happy Pit hunting tomorrow for people like me who didn't pre-order. I have a bunch of Best Buy credit so that's my first stop tomorrow. Probably gonna come up empty handed but you never know.

Yup, just got the email from BB that my order (from a few weeks ago with the B2G1 glitch) that my orders for Pit and CF wont be available for pickup and I'll have to sometime next week to decide if I want to cancel or they'll automatically cancel it. Sucks cause the third figure I ordered (LM) was processed with no problems but I'm guessing this is why they canceled the rest of the order. Thanks for the heads up.

 
Yeah I can cosign I saw a lot of wii fit trainer and villager in the wild the week they released. No marth though except the one I received as a gift from a gamestop. this is in Los Angeles BTW.

also to the guy asking about Pit orders from GS, mine has shipped already as well as Captain Falcon and Little Mac. All supposed to get here this week.
 
If anyone is looking for Pits at Best Buy tomorrow

I called Several Best Buys in Minnesota and they all said the same thing, No store is getting Pits for sale in the District

They only have enough for the Pre-Orders

Could be different for other states but I suggest calling about tomorrows amiibos today

Yes. The USA packaging has the name of the character on the top left where the European packaging has it on the top right. The European boxes have a lot more languages on them under the name. It is not a huge difference at all.

If you need a visual then I would suggest going to eBay and simply looking up the two versions. (I suggest this because I have no idea how to embed images.)

I called Best Buy just now and the woman told me that the store in West Hollywood isn't getting any Pits' and she didn't see any shipments going to any other BBs in the greater Los Angeles area.
 
So I ordered villager and Marth on amazon.de and tried to cancel my Marth from Play Asia. Can someone tell me if I did it right, I went to modify order, took Marth out of my cart, and updated my cart. Is that how you cancel on play Asia? They don't really give an easy way to do it.

My Best Buy (some woman I was trying to sweet talk) told me she saw some boxes with a 'Nintendo' label on it street dated for tomorrow. I don't know. I planned on checking it out as I need to get up early anyway and have nothing better to do before work.

thank god i ordered it to be shipped to home

honestly, it seems like shipping to home is safer than picking it up in store. my villager amiibo was lost/picked when i went to go pick it up on release day. luckily, best buy shipped another one to my house a few days later.

 
Went out today for the first time since before Christmas and most stores had some stock, but nothing too interesting. Some Diddy, Zelda, And Luigi. Other than that, all wave 1 commons. Picked up a couple of those at TRU to take advantage of the buy 1, get 1 40% off.

Still haven't seen a Pit or Falcon in the wild. Glad I was able to grab a Falcon from Gamestop online. I'll try BB tomorrow for Pit, but I don't have any expectations that I'll find one.
 
If anyone is looking for Pit I suggest going to your local Gamestop and asking about their shipments

I went to mine and he said he had 2 Pits coming in and if I wanted to put 1 on hold, should be there by Thursday

Best Buy isn't looking good tomorrow

It may not be the same for amazon.de, but I know that when I ordered from amazon.fr the price dropped from the shown 14.99 to 12.49 Euros when I went to checkout for some reason. My shipping was like 13.xx Euros so it came out to 38.xx Euros total (about 46 dollars) for a Marth and Villager.

I think it's because they remove the VAT (value added tax), which they don't apply to orders from the US. That happens all the time when I order stuff from the UK.
 
I heard some Amiibos have a defect on the bottom of the base that makes them even more valuable. Check the bottoms of the bases for funny business.
 
Oh, got my Diddy from Amazon today. Came in perfect condition thankfully. Weather here is awful and the box was soaked. I was afraid the amiibo itself was going to be destroyed. My Little Mac and Captain Falcon should be here tomorrow. Either way, I'm going to Best Buy to buy another of each. One for opening and one for collecting.

Awesome! Glad he arrived safe and sound. I'm waiting on my Diddy Kong and Falcon from GS. I also ordered Little Mac today :)

 
No Best Buy stores will have Pit it seems, had another friend look at around 10-15 districts. Think it's around 200 stores. None are getting Pit. I know there are over 1000 stores, but still.
 
Strange, the prices for Pit seemed to have gone down from the 60's to the upper 30's though. Is this mainly because of the GS stock over the weekend?

Big surprise, got a call from my Best Buy today saying that they never got Pit. Offered to have one shipped to me, but I'll probably just cancel. Walmart already shipped one anyway.

Least they got in a Captain Falcon. Custom time.

Just got a shipping confirmation for my GS order of Little Mac that I made earlier today.

I'm glad since I kept thinking it would be canceled. Plus, it's not available online anymore either, adding to my concern.
