The old thread hadn't been updated in quite some time, so I decided to make a new one. If you happen to see a sale not listed in the OP, go ahead and post it and I will be sure it's added. The same goes for anything listed that has expired as most sales have no set time frame, let me know and I will remove expired sales. Thanks!

Google Play has a $5 off books $5.01 and up promo. Just click on the Books tab and you should see the banner for it. There seem to be a bunch of comic book collections on sale that you can use it on, but there's no way to sort by price.

Thanks for this one! I've played most of the others, but I am digging this Civ-lite style game!
Glad you're enjoying it. I would say that Battle for Polytopia is one of the most addictive Android games in my library, only second to Space Grunts. If they ever made an arcade version of Civ, I imagine it would play a lot like Polytopia - a strategy game that's also a high score chaser!

Thanks for the heads up. I had one of those from months ago and just used it on the $5.99 Five Nights at Freddy's novel (for some reason...haha). Got the new one, too. I actually want to check out Lara Croft and the Blade of Gwynnever, but it's, of course, $4.99.

If you're a Shield TV owner and a fan of weird hidden gem type games in general, Ace of Seafood is a game where you take on the role of one of three different sea creatures in a death match style third person shooter game. It's a Japanese made game that is strangely reminiscent of Earth Defense Force since the fish shoot lasers at each other. Best of all, it's free to play with no questionable permissions and it has controls configured for Shield TV:

How bad are the F2P elements? Sounds different.

Not at home now to check, but I think you can purchase more fish types. I downloaded the game before I left for work, played a few minutes and then did an eliminator race in Asphalt 8 before leaving the house. But if you don't like it, you could just delete it. I do that a lot with FTP Android games.

God of Blades has gone from 99 cents to free:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.whitewhalegames.godofblades

It has Moga controller support, console-quality graphics, and good reviews online.  Since I'm stuck at home today because of winter weather, I'm going to see if it can be sideloaded onto my other Android devices since it will only work natively on my Shield Portable and Galaxy Tab 2, but it's supposed to be a good game if anyone is interested.

Card City Nights is 99 cents:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ludosity.ccn

If you're unfamiliar with this game, it's a collectible card game by the makers of Ittle Dew.  Card City Nights is on Steam if you want to look at a gameplay video there.

Goo Saga is down to $1.99:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tokaloka.goo

It's a puzzle platformer with controller support that is very similar to Leo's Fortune.  But, you can never have too many puzzle platformers on Android!

And finally, the front page of Google Play has a banner advertising 50% off any one TV season.  Once the offer has been accepted, it must be redeemed by 4/16.

Soul Knight, an Enter the Gungeon clone, is free to play and is Shield TV compatible:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ChillyRoom.DungeonShooter&rdid=com.ChillyRoom.DungeonShooter

Someone mentioned this game on Reddit which is how I found it. No questionable permissions, but if you play on Shield TV, you will have to plug in a mouse to navigate the menus and to pause the game in addition to using the controller to move your character and shoot. Good game, but I have a feeling it will be taken down once the Enter the Gungeon devs discover its existence...

Edit: This game is really fun.  I've been playing it all morning.  I actually like it better than Enter the Gungeon because it's a bit slower for those of us who aren't especially skilled at difficult games.  The reloading is still slow, though.

I got a the new Nvidia Shield and been playing with it for a bit so I thought I would download Zen Pinball but when it loads up it is not showing the tables I previously purchase. Do you have to purchase them again because that sucks if so.

Did you buy the pinball tables in the Zen Pinball app or did you buy them separately? If you bought them in app, you will have to download each table individually before you can play it. Also, if you bought Zen Pinball on a different device before buying the Shield, they will carry over to the Shield.

I bought them inside the Zen Pinball app on my phone before owning a Shield but when I go to restore purchases nothing is found or when I click on an individual table I bought it only brings up the option to buy again. I will uninstall and try again thanks for the help.

Any CAG tips and tricks for the Nvidia Shield or must have games went through the Nvidia exclusive or compatible games you and other CAGs posted earlier and picked up ExZeus 2 because it is still on sale. Hopefully Nvidia and Devs put a sale on some games because there are probably a several new Shield owners like myself that would pick up games for cheap.

Is your Shield TV on a different account than the one you used to buy the Zen tables previously? If so, make sure you are selecting the right account. If not, the tables that you previously bought should show up on the screens that show all the tables. For instance, with the Marvel tables, you have to tab over to the Marvel screen and see which ones are highlighted before selecting them to download. The other thing to consider is that if you bought the Marvel or Star Wars tables in their respective apps instead of in the Zen Pinball app, you will need to download the Marvel and Star Wars Pinball apps separately. Then, check those apps to see if your purchased tables show up. It's dumb, but Google Play Store doesn't allow cross buy between Zen Pinball and the Marvel/Star Wars Pinball apps.

And in regards to Shield exclusive game apps, they tend to go on sale around the holidays. Otherwise, they are very expensive, even more so than other Google Play games. I would recommend saving your credit until Nvidia has another sale unless you're really hard up for games.

I would refer to this list of popular games that may or may not be Shield compatible:

http://amiga32.com/satv/

I would also recommend investing in a mouse since there are a lot of games that will work with mouse control since there's no touch screen.

I can only see a few Shield TV sales at the moment. Prison Run and Gun for 99 cents down from $1.99. I haven't played it myself, but I was considering a purchase. Uninstall it in under 2 hours if you don't like it to get a refund!

I Am Bread is on sale for $2.49. There are two versions for sale on Google Play. This link is for Android TV/Shield TV devices:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bossastudios.iambread.androidtv

This is the version for phones and tablets although it doesn't seem to be compatible with any of my other devices:

Is the Zen Pinball app on your phone from Amazon? If I remember, Amazon used a different app and the purchases are tied to it. That's where I used all my Amazon Coins.

So I thought there was no way I used Amazon for this so I fired up Zen Pinball on my phone then lo and behold it was. Forgot I had some Amazon coins to burn thanks Neuro mystery solved.
Also sideloaded Amazon Underground and now happily playing my Zen Pinball on the Shield.

Am I the only one that thinks quell memento is depressing as hell?
I guess I'll find out since I bought all four games, but the first game doesn't have much of a story mode. It's just one puzzle after another. It seems to be a good diversion so far. But what's the deal with the stages having years as their designations? It is a little weird.

Damn humblebundle.com has a kick ass mobile rpg bundle. Some serious goodness. $6 level includes Star Wars Kotor and Shadowrun Dragonfall. The stuff at the lower levels looks pretty good too.

If I didn't already own most of the games in that bundle, I'd snag it, that's for sure.

None.  The only thing you can buy is orbs, and orbs are used for the random draw on who your characters are.  However, you can get orbs for completing levels (Normal, Hard, or Lunatic), get orbs for login bonuses, and get 10 free orbs from My Nintendo.  Therefore, unless you're trying to get all of them or get a specific character, you'll be fine with just the ones you can get normally.  I actually wouldn't mind a small payout to guarantee getting a specific character at 5-star, but that's not an option in the game.
