Happily surprised to see that coupon stacks with the sale. Hopefully there'll be something to use it on.

Speaking of Sentai sales, seems they're having another one this weekend. Not sure if the prices are the same as the previous BF sale, but they seem to be. Much smaller selection though (at least for now?).

So the Tenchi Muyo sets are on sale and I'm about to pull the trigger but I'm only seeing OVA 1 & 2 (which I assume is the US Television series) up to 13 episodes; Apparently Funimation does not have the rights to OVA 3 (the remaining series) or am I missing something? I'd rather not buy an incomplete collection but rumors are stating the 3rd OVA is due in 2017?

Glad I sold my Geneon DVDs for the Tenchi OVA. Definitely picking up the Blu-ray collection at that price.

So far I have just Samurai 7, Tenchi, and Genshiken 2 on my list. Seems good enough to me for now, but I do want to see what the final days of the sale hold before placing an order.

The original OVA set is the best one, but you might as well pick up the movie set and Universe while your at it

It might seem obvious, but I would just watch them in the order they were originally released. That's what I usually do with any show/movie combination.

I don't know them off the top of my head for Patlabor, but wikipedia should have them all.

While I enjoyed the Bayonetta game I must say that I felt the anime was horrendous. It's just a retelling of the first game's story, but without the fun gameplay was just an utter mess.

Is there a review of the english subs of Yuru Yuri? I was just wondering if I could check how liberal they went with the translations, the kind of font they used, background translated etc. Heard you might be able to turn off the subs with the bluray settings. Like it's not hardsubbed directly onto the image.

Also I was really hoping for the strike witches movie to go on sale, but considering they put the series on sale already, I guess it's not happening. Oh well, I was prepared to get it at regular price anyway.

Funimation are the only ones that are still in business to do the thin case, slipcover model for most of their older releases, and very few releases nowadays.

For Mediablasters, Liteboxes are just the standard DVD cases, compared to their other boxed sets which is the larger box, that contains each individual volumes for the set. For Ramen Fighter Miki, it was a 3 DVD volume boxed set in its original form, so the Litebox is just the regular sized DVD case that holds all 3 discs. Just remember, anime used to be released in volumes with 3-4 episodes per disc, so a boxed set is just a box to fit all the volumes in it. ;D

Hey motaku, did you get any kind of confirmation on the $5 Blind Box? The page said that the code was applied to my order, but the item didn't show up anywhere before or after I finalized the order. I'm pretty sure I got in before they went out of stock, because I placed my order less than two hours after today's sale items went up.

You have to add it(the blind box) to your shopping cart and the code brings the amount price down to $0.

Wasn't expecting another day.. Anyway, from today and yesterday I highly recommend both Kanon and His & Her Circumstances.

Kanon is standard Key magic/tearjerker, full of characters you'll grow to love. Kare Kano/His & Her Circumstances is extremely enjoyable and runs the gamut of emotions from slapstick comedy to to depressing drama. The story basically begins with the two characters getting together rather than ending with it, and from there they face different problems and make personal growth together.

I really do love His & Her Circumstances/Kare Kano, however the anime adaption was left incomplete with major flaws. Manga creator didn't like how the anime adaption was going, so a 2nd season was not approved. The anime ends on a cliffhanger with noticeable budget cuts to the animation, and there is a recap episode in the 2nd half. If you want to continue the story where the anime left off, you'll need to read volumes 9 through 21 of the manga. (Highly recommend the manga though, one of my favorites)

I am going to have to add a disclaimer to only watch Kanon if you can stand mentally damaged moe girls, because every damn girl in that series ends every damn sentence with a random sound or word because it's "cute" #_#
