Amazon tends to offer lower everyday prices on their anime, and often run sales on Funimation items routinely. Keep track on your favorites or check your daily deal's for a possible 5% off of some based off your history on Amazon. 

(Also, I'd also recommend to check out Amazon's top 100 deals in Anime Bluray/DVD as they tend to show what's popular, or what is on sale.)

DVDPlanet / Deep Discount

Known by many for their bad customer service, they often make up for it with their lower prices on a lot of their items. This and they routinely run sales specifically for anime.

it's unlikely your wallet will weep tomorrow... typically the waves have some decent stuff, a couple good filler items, but nothing amazing since they are the prequel to the 12+ days which tend to have a lot more exciting stuff.

Also if you bite on something in the waves, don't be surprised if during the 12+ days that item is on sale again in a bundle for less.... it seems like the last few years that there has been something on sale in the waves that was individual releases for a decent price and in the 12+ days they bundle them at a good price and people whine

Little Busters has no real relation to Clannad storywise though it does follow the same formula. I never played any of Key's VN's but I personally liked Little Busters more than Angel Beats.

Yea i paid about 20 for it, i'm not to mad about it though since i was able to get ride of it for about 17 and pick up the Premium version for around 13.

Gargantia sold out quick also because, like Viz's other LE sets, they don't go down in price often. First time I have seen it or Blood Lad under $50.

If you don't mind subs the whole series is on Viz's site for free.

Missed Gargantia, but got Blood Lad. Also picked up the Space Adventure Cobra set as well as Little Busters Set 2, Yuyushiki, and Pokemon Platinum set.

Honestly you are better off. It was pretty bleh from what I watched on Hulu.

I read the review of Gargantia from ANN and it doesn't shock me. Viz has only done Bleach and Naruto movie blus until Ramna hit earlier this year and it seems like they are still learning the format. Gargantia looked tempting but I'm not really into making blind buys unless it's $20 or under. $35 is still a little steep for me.

best part about blood lad was it was only this year that you could actually read anything after what the anime covered. The official releases finally passed the anime, and there wasn't a group translating the manga. It was awesome for a while seeing the manga chapter numbers in general go up but having no way to read them unless you spoke japanese ><:

As for Gargantia. It was an alright series. Entertaining enough that i watched it all in japanese (given that at any given time I am watching around 10 anime series if the series isn't interesting enough i put it on the back burner until it gets dubbed, and if it doesn't get dubbed just often forget about it ), though not so entertaining that I have plans to rewatch it, nor have I ever told anyone "hey, you should watch Gargantia"

I saw it this morning while I was a work and jumped on that deal, I really enjoyed it. The show had a great premise and everything up the last few episodes was excellent. I liked the ending myself, even though it seemed a little anti climactic but I know a lot of people didn't like it at all. I think anyone who blind bought this one is in for a treat and I would definitely recommend checking it out even if you didn't.

Besides the obvious differences between SD and HD; the audio on the DVDs are Japanese w/ sub only, and the BDs have that and an English dub track.

question if i wanted to collect the dragonball z movies would it be ideal to just get the movie 4 packs on dvd? or should i hunt down the various blu rays? quality really doesn't matter. blu is going to be an obvious upgrade however i'm not down to spend 20-30 bucks for just two movies. what do y'all think?
