Known by many for their bad customer service, they often make up for it with their lower prices on a lot of their items. This and they routinely run sales specifically for anime.

Nice find. I never really watched Avatar and know nothing about Korra, but I'm going to find out more about it now!

Both Avatar and Korra are great series. I highly recommend watching both. It is best to watch Avatar first though.

My sentai order shipped. I placed it last friday, shipped yesterday night, and should be here on Monday.

Btw, the order tracking page is pretty cool. Shows you everything you ordered, the shipping/billing info, tracking and a google maps view of the delivery address. Yeah it's pretty standard but it's a very clean page. Also if you go to the url without logging in it hides the personal info but there's a link to "buy these products" and it puts everything in your shopping cart.

Yeah I'm very pleased with my two experiences buying from the Sentai store now. It's great that everything gets fufilled by Rightstuf. Things came timely and in very solid packaging, as per usual. My second order went out on the 28th and it was here on my doorstep on the 30th. It helps that RS is in Iowa and I'm in Minneapolis but even first class mail that is only one state away usually takes 3 days. Great webstore, good service.

I wouldn't normally try and tell people what they should watch, but you really shouldn't watch series 2 before watching series 1. There is a lot of lore that is built throughout the first series that is assumed knowledge during the second one. Certain things will also lose a lot of impact, because they will happen to people that you do not know anything about.

Think of it like this. If you watched The Force Awakens without watching any other Star Wars film, you'd be thinking things like "Why are people cheering about that old guy with the big bear showing up?" and "What's with the melted black helmet?"

Those examples are a bit extreme, obviously, but it's tough to describe without spoiling things.

I would argue you could skip all the other star wars and have a better experience if you watch the others you will realize that force awakens is a total rehash of a new hope in every possible way. People need to chill out on the memberberries to see clearly though.

yeah I hated the force awakens because of that. I wanted something new and they gave us a new hope 2.0. on another note any good deals from rightstuf today I don't shop anime enough to know whats a good deal lol.

So I've given myself a budget of $100 for this RS sale...

I bought Usagi drop for 39.99 and the first season of fushigi yugi today. I have some $ left over. Hoping sailor moon crystal  goes on sale.

This is the best price i've seen for usagi drop so that's why i finally pulled the trigger.

The Bandai GL DVDs are pretty easy to find and go for relatively cheap. Ive seen comparison screens of the Bandai DVDs vs the Aniplex BDs and the difference is significant.

I wouldn't give in to the Aniplex DVDs knowing full well that Blu-ray versions of Magi exists. Best to just import and get the UK Kaze releases. Same goes for Silver Spoon when Anime Limited releases the Blu-rays next year. Not sure why AOA decided against releasing BDs. I mean, I would understand if it's for older titles with no HD masters, but these series only aired a few years back and 1080p fansubs exist. *shrug*

I thought the two seasons were bundled togather and offered for $59.99 on the NISA websote this past Cyber Monday? Granted, the pricing of NISA titles is really up there, though they did do that $89.74 five title bundle for the Cyber Sale, which was such a good deal on stuff from them even that I said to heck with paying the taxes on my cars, those bills aren't due until the end of the month... terrible priority set, I know, but NISA so rarely discounts anything that I couldn't pass it up without knowing I'd end up regretting missing out on it later, even if it is subbed anime.

And I have found out the official reasoning why we can't do site-to-store pick-up of anime titles from BestBuy.com. The company is concerned that the cover art might be viewed as offensive material by employees at the store level. Yeah, you just can't make this stuff up.
