 Anime Steals and Deals

**It is highly recommended you check the latest posts in this thread as they will often have the most up to date deals. I will attempt to reflect these sales in the OP, but always check the latest posts.**

Rightstuf

Rightstuf runs studio sales every week, sometimes even twice a week. These range from anime, manga, and even artbooks. Prices are decent, and Rightstuf has amazing customer service. I highly recommend them for that alone.

http://www.rightstuf.com/rssite/main/

You can save an additional 10% off a majority of their items (Including preorders) by buying their Got Anime membership

http://www.rightstuf.com/rssite/action/store/item/Item?ItemName=gotanime1

Amazon

Amazon tends to offer lower everyday prices on their anime, and often run sales on Funimation items routinely. Keep track on your favorites or check your daily deal's for a possible 5% off of some based off your history on Amazon.

(Also, I'd also recommend to check out Amazon's top 100 deals in Anime Bluray/DVD as they tend to show what's popular, or what is on sale.)

http://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/movies-tv/2959127011/ref=pd_zg_hrsr_mov_1_3_last   (Blu Ray)

http://www.amazon.com/Best-Sellers-Movies-TV-Anime/zgbs/movies-tv/2959100011/ref=zg_bs_nav_mov_2_2958934011 (DVD)

DVDPlanet / Deep Discount

Known by many for their bad customer service, they often make up for it with their lower prices on a lot of their items. This and they routinely run sales specifically for anime.

http://www.dvdplanet.com/Pages/Search/Category.aspx?ec=42000

http://www.deepdiscount.com/index.cfm

I highly suggest when you order from them to only order in stock items, and not ones that are backordered. Save yourself the displeasure of having to deal with the headaches. And patience is a must with these sites.

Cheapassgamer

Maybe you will find something here on our own forums! We have a thread dedicated specifically to Anime and Manga for sale from fellow Cags.

I used Paypal to check out...so not sure why you didn't see the option?
Odd I'm on my phone I'll try on my PC in a little maybe it's something to do with mobile.

EDIT:
Tried edge, chrome and Firefox on PC and PayPal still didn't show up. Anyone have this issue and know a solution?

I would try a private or incognito window. If still not showing, perhaps it's some weird geographic restriction or paypal is having issues.

It's weird because I have used PayPal with them before and I live in WA USA.

I even tried VPN and incognito and no PayPal bullet is showing up. I went ahead and reported the issue with Funimation let's see what they say.

I seem to recall a similar issue last week where selecting PayPal would clear the billing AND shipping zip codes. But the error warning would only say the billing zip was missing so maybe try selecting PayPal and then verify that everything else is still entered correctly?

Funimation had me send them list of items in my cart and they are looking into it.
When I get to payment this is what it looks like

I think I figured it out everyone. If the item you want is on back order you can't pay with Paypal. When I removed the item that was on back order it allowed me to check out with Paypal.

I actually thought this may be an issue I'll keep u guys informed on what funi has to say
3/7 of my items in cart are backordered so that's not great

UPDATE:

Still nothing from Funimation which is disappointing so I'm probably gonna pass on the purchase I was going to make

Anyways in other news I finally got around to watching my chihyafuru box set I picked up during a Sentai sale a little while ago and it was really good had to binge through season 2 on hidive (now with Chromecast support yeah!) Can't wait for season 3 next year.
I also decided to start Gate and am almost finished who would have thought crossing modern day military into a fantasy setting coupe be so interesting. I'll have to pick up the premium edition during sentais next sale along with chihyafuru season 2.

Finally picked up Eden of the East Premium edition for $42 from the Funimation sale. That's the lowest I've seen it advertised. Added Outlaw Star Collector's Edition for $36 to get free shipping.

Sentai finally put up the final pics of what the Made in Abyss collectors box set will look like and have in it. I'm so hyped for it.

How many $100's are they charging for this? I kind of struggle to buy into a CE for an anime that isn't finished yet. If they decided to do a fire sale of the CE, I'll pick it up perhaps.

119.99 at rightstuf right now. 129.99 is the original price. I sent a ticket in to rightstuf to adjust my pre order to the new 119 sale price and they did it with ease. 120 doesn't seem that bad to me as I'm a huge fan of the series.

$10 / episode =x Yeah....I love the series too but I don't think I'll go for that. Enjoy though, the extras look cool.

Persoanlly I'd wait for any Sentai sets until the thanksgiving/holiday sale if the last two years are any indication, though there's always the chance it will sell out before then...

Loved the show too (still cringe thinking about that one scene because it was so hard to watch), but can't justify the current price for the CE. Will wait and see what happens. It would've been a lot nicer if the whistle lanyard was an actual white whistle replica.

It could be worse, if it was AOA, they would be charging releasing it as four separate "collector's editions" blu rays for $100 apiece.

Hey guys. Sorry for the blatant self promotion, but I'm selling off a good chunk of my figure collection. Please take a look and let me know if you are interested in anything.

The JP releases for MiA aren't even that expensive - they come in 2 LE chipboard box sets for about $130 each - but they have no English on them at all. Still, I liked the looks of the JP sets much better, and I have no use for all the garbage extras in the Sentai PE, so I bought the JP sets instead and will just get the standard Sentai release whenever it goes on sale for English subs.

My Funimation order with My Hero Academia Season 1 and Space Dandy: The Complete Series arrived.  Everything looks good.

P.S. This is the first time since ordering directly from Funimation (going back to The Z-Store) where I did not order anything Dragonball.

So I took the leap of faith of buying the My Hero Academia S1 LE from Righstuf and also S2P2LE from Righstuf from their sale... and it shipped out! :D I bought it a couple of days ago and it finally shipped.

Im really excited to watch it since i watch the first two episodes and I liked it and my friend loves the show and she wants to marathon it together lol.

When the sale was going on, I noticed that Funimation was also having a sale for MHA and they also had S1LE but for a couple dollars more than Righstuf... so I went with them... But now I saw Funimation have S2P1LE on backorder which is the only place to have it (but it wasn't there before) so Im guessing their trying to get rid of the remaining LEs they have. So hopefully I get a copy of S2P1LE because I am not paying those eBay prices...

My copy of Hitman Reborn shipped from Rightstuf. Will be nice to watch that on dedicated media vs the crappy stream I had to watch it on originally.

$143.99 for the RightStuf-exclusive G-Gundam Ultra Edition Blu-ray set seems like a pretty good deal considering its $239.99 MSRP: https://www.rightstufanime.com/Mobile-Fighter-G-Gundam-Ultra-Edition-Blu-ray

They're the exclusive distributor for it, and it comes from their parent company. That MSRP couldn't be any more arbitrary if it tried lol.

*Also, since the anime trade thread is dead, I have mint copies of all 4 LE releases of the Persona 3 movies that I'm looking to unload. PM if interested!*

I placed an entire order of $1 grab bag items the other day. 10 manga, 5 general, and 5 adult. Will update with the titles when I get home. I was hoping for rated R stuff or maybe some hentai manga, but 2 of my adult items were porno DVD's. =\

new sentai sale.

I'm to busy to check prices right now, will check tomorrow if no one else does by then lol

Oh god no! I'm not even sure which titles I already bought from them earlier in the year. Can't afford to even look as I blew over $200 in the last two weeks buying up some long discontinued stuff locally from a private collection and then ordering some odds & ends off of SecondSpin.

Next project for who?
For me... unless there is someone else living in my room I have somehow been completely unaware of all these years, creepy.

More project hint dropping. I wonder if he read my overly colorful post on the previous page of this forum topic?:

Oh, I read it. But it's not a deal and really belongs in the anime discussion thread rather than here. I'm glad it's something you enjoy though.

Point noted...... someday I am going to take a hard looks at the forum list and figure out what all CAG has beyond this topic and the PS Vita Deals thread (which happens to be my homepage).

So here's a pretty interesting deal.

"Anime 3 Series Collection"... from Mill Creek Entertainment of all companies. But it's three series that have thus far been exclusively only available to view through streaming services. Not expecting very good bit rates since it's merely three discs, but the price is certainly good.

^ Just find better quality rips on nyaa, burn them to disc, then print off a label. That's all Mill Creek does. Shit ass company that you shouldn't be paying a dime to.

their holiday sales get worse every year
They have fewer competitors every year. And there seems to be fewer publishers every year. So we end up with fewer choices every year. So each year that passes the more obvious it becomes, the perilous

the anime industry is sinking into. Wouldn't even be surprised if anime distribution falls into a
