I'd like to register for typepad, but I was wondering if there are any discount codes. Also, if not, are there any suggestions on a cheaper site?

LiveJournal's now owned by the SixApart people, and it's free. Or you could do Movable Type on your own site. Come on, there's plenty of blogging services out there.
