Assassins Creed GH disc question

Does anyone know if the Greatest Hits version of Assassins Creed for the 360 comes pre-patched? I am having some lock ups with original version(mainly freezing, this is the only game I have with that problem, it's not my disc drive) Thanks.

Burbs, I'm actually playing this right now. I have the original version but as soon as you put the disc in it asks you to update. I would assume the same would happen with your copy. I haven't had any problems and I just finished the story.

Thanks, but my system is not connected to the internet at the moment. Does anyone on this board who has the GH version not been asked to update?
