I dug up my Lynx and I was wondering if people have any fond memories of this system. I had a couple of games back in the day, and I think that I want to explore some of their other titles (now that I have more video game cash). Any great games come to mind....please don't refer me to other people's review sites, I'm more interested in your thoughts and memories.

I don't have a lynx, but I do know that they are still making new games for it. Telegames is the main company that produces lynx games occasionaly, there's probably more.

I loved california games! I only owned 2 games, batman returns and california games, but the only game I ever ended up playing was CA games. I loved it! Too bad I broke my Lynx's screen and then lost the whole thing :(

Gates of Zendocon, Stun Runner, Hydra, Pinball Jam, Warbirds, Casino, Cyberball, Rygar, Xenophobe, Shadow of the Beast.

Avoid Pit Fighter at all costs.

Yes, but sadly, they recently announced that they were stopping that.

This place is currently developing for both the Lynx and the Jaguar.

The fan support that Atari consoles get is really quite amazing. Check out www.atariage.com sometime. People are STILL making Atari 2600 games, which are all official quality too. Cartridges, boxes, instruction manuals, all top quality stuff.

Some of the best games for the Atari Jaguar came out after the year 2000, well after the system's demise.

Believe it or not, I loved the pack-in - California Games! I still love playing the surfing section to this day. I also loved APB and Joust. The Lynx was...hell, IS!...an awesome system!

It was just a monster on the batteries, anyway I recomend NG, Rygar, Hard drivin and blue lightning (I recomend the last 2 because they were the only games I had for several years)

California games is great. One of my favorite is Chips Challenge it is a must if you like puzzle games it is great. Also Blue Lightning and Electrocop.Blue Lightning will be kind of hard to get on ebay for a good price.
I still have my system . The gray big system is the better one it is bigger but it has a great speaker system.

Yeah I didnt like the redesign either

Yeah, I had it....but sold it a while back since it just sat there....part of me wants it back, but oh well.

I believe I had about 5-6 games:
California Games: Very Fun
Rampage: IT's rampage....what more do you want
Blue Lightning: Very little flying game
ElectroCop: Was ok....
SlimeWorld: Was ok also....

I think I may have had one other game also...possibly a puzzle game

I had the BIG original one also

Thanks so much fellas for the quick flashback to Lynx greatness. It's so good to know that there were others that appreciated this little toy forgotten by many for the GameBoy and GameGear. Anyhow, a little OT, but I loved California Games also...but I was never able to do anything in the skateboarding half-pipe part of the game. What are the buttons for this? I am only able to do one trick, and that's it. I was and am such a retard at this one aspect of the game. Help, please.

Great to find other Lynx fans here. Lots of great memories with the Lynx. Warbirds was fun, California Games was exciting, Xybots was challenging, and Xenophobe was 'Aliens'. Steel Talons and Blockout are also worthy additions. i have around 20-30 titles.

for lurknomore, the halfpipe/skateboarding game works like a pendulum. you can really catch lots of air near the end of the run.

if anyone is interested, Best Electronics sells tons of Atari stuff. Brad Koda purchased pallets of Lynxs when Atari went belly-up. i had to replace my original Lynx II a few years ago, long story.

i ended up purchasing a new, with all original packaging, Lynx I and Lynx II from Brad. Along with a used Lynx II for playing. plus several accessories and additional games. warning: it is not cheap.

I just saw one for sale for $35 complete with 1 game...thought about picking it up but meh... I'm going back tonight to see if it's still there. Would it be worth the $35?
