I just bought 10 of these. Romeo and Plikwhathisname, wanna buy them? $50 a piece plus shipping. Then you can give them to your Game TZ buddies
[joking...sadly I didn't get any]
Game TZ is full of trolls, trashy people, and plenty of *gasp* flippers. They're HORRIBLE to newbies. There are good traders there, of course, but let's not pretend it's some end-all haven for gamers. It has plenty of problems. It IS great for trading, I've been there for years now myself. The "Find of the week" thread is 90% about people buying cheap stuff from yard sales/ craigslist with the intention of reselling.
I did successfully flip The Beatles RockBand Premium when TRU dropped it to $50. I got $150 + shipping, just sold it less than a month ago. I hadn't tried to sell it until then. But yeah, it was a pain to ship. I don't think these would flip anywhere near as well.
The best flipportunity© was the Best Buy B2G2 free sale. Even the B2G1 sales have provided some really easy results for me. Sales have really fallen off in the last two weeks, which leads me to believe that people have blown their refund checks now.
I was able to use the money to pay to build up my own collection and still have some left over. And I saw first hand how someone would parlay it into a career if they wanted.
I have to laugh at people who have a problem with flipping merchandise. I've got a friend just like that. Every store you've ever shopped at regularly sells things for more than they paid for them. It's kinda how business works, yet I bet these same complainers have no trouble giving their money to big businesses. How do you think local video game stores are able to exist? Many small businesses will buy clearance items from big businesses and resell for profit.
Nobody is forcing someone to pay the marked up price. My buyers left me positive feedback and were happy to have their games. They didn't ask/care what I paid for the things I was selling. I also don't really care what someone paid when I buy something, outside of perhaps curiosity. It's irrelevant. What matters is what the customer is willing to pay.
BTW my two local TRUs didn't have any of these. I didn't check specifically for them, but I had checked for the Saint's Row 3 platinum edition a few days ago and I know they didn't have any big gaming peripherals. It wouldn't surprise me at all of TRU gets out of gaming. I personally rarely see deals that interest me there anyhow. In nearly 5 months since I've been buying again, I've only seen one deal I cared about, which was Rayman Origins for $20, which I just got price matched at Best Buy.
