evolve is defo fun, but if you know what you're doing, it's pretty easy to stomp with the monster. i'll be curious how balancing works.
Yeah, I never lost as monster, as hunter it was about half wins and half losses. Once I started playing as medic, removing that point of failure, it was mostly left to trapper knowing what theyre doing.

And yeah, I bet people who actually paid for it will care more about knowing how to play it.

I ended up pre-ordering Dying Light. Don't think it looks that good, but had to use the $25 credit for my Little Mac cancel by today and had $10 in RZ certs, so it was only $14. Hopefully it's at least alright.

bad trapper = guaranteed loss. my suspicion is people will learn to work together better.

the only match i lost as monster, they got lucky and cornered me early, but they worked really well together and it was pretty fierce.

Worse case scenario, you can hopefully trade it in for $40+ to Best Buy if you don't like it.

The other modes also seem more weighted towards hunters, as the monster will have to engage earlier. In the mode with the eggs, though, I wonder if they'll prevent monster from just hatching all but one of them asap and having a swarm of lvl 1 goliaths running around.

I'd LOVE to get my hands on some BL2: Handsome Edition w/ a load of discounts/GGU at an already cheap "remastered edition" price (300+ BL2/BL:TPS hrs on PC can't be wrong!)

I ordered Uncharted at BB using a Walmart PM from the glitch earlier today.  I checked my gift card balance after the transaction and the balance was down twice the amount of the game.  I just called the Elite hotline to ask why I was charged twice when I only ordered one copy and my transaction has only one copy on it.  The woman said it was an authorization charge.

Has anyone had this happen to them?

Nope. With a gift card they always charge, but an authorization when the money is taken away permanently for that order makes no sense. I wonder what would have happened if you only had a little more than the amount. Most of my gift cards have relatively low amounts from trade ins and stuff

Post this on the forums because phone support will be hell for this.

ps4 beta test only had 'hunt' mode. wish the evacuation mode was available. I'm a sucker for stage-objective-class-based multiplayer. (i was one of the dozens of people who actually really liked Brink...haha)

Nope. There shouldn't be an authorization charge for gift cards. It deducts the amount immediately. Authorization charges only happen with credit cards and debits.

I didn't play Evacuation, but I think it was still just a string of Hunts. I'm talking about the ones where the hunters have to rescue humans around the map, or the monster has to defend eggs (or can hatch them to get ai monster allies). I don't think those modes were in the "beta" on any platform.

And while I am not crazy enough to have enjoyed Brink, I did like that mode in Killzone where it goes from objective to objective.

Yes, those modes were in the beta that just ended on XBO.

That is an interesting point. This just happens to be my one gift card with a larger amount on it.

I might try again later and just talk to a supervisor otherwise I will have to go to the forums.

This is what I thought, but the woman kept on insisting it was.

Oh, alright. I played on PC because mouse aim. It's weird how the different platforms had different stuff, like the XONE one was the only one where unlocks carry over.
yea and in the intro video for evacuation they mentioned there was over 800,000 different outcomes. Some are pretty minor but it does change the game play up and adds replay value. Getting the new maps for free is pretty nice too but I think the real replay value is in the new characters there is so much to unlock and each character has such a different feel. I really enjoyed the alpha/beta and can't wait for evolve to come out.

I'm kinda on the fence about dying light, I really enjoyed dead island and even though the devs say this game isn't just anther dead island game that's all I see when I look at gameplay (just faster, better looking and seems to be more story driven). It kinda reminds me of what saints row does with it's DLC, oh we put so much time into it it's it's own game now.........but they're taking it to a new level saying it has enough improvements it's a completely new franchise. I'm a prob grab it with plans on flipping it for evolve unless it really impresses me and has any replay value.

Anyone know how long it takes forbestbuy to process an order? Mine is still in the third phase before shipping after payment validated.. I ordered yesterday but only the 10$ gift card shipped im just wondering if it hsd something to do with a preorder in the same transcation.

My order of Dying Light hasn't shipped yet. :nottalking:   fuck IT had free expedite shipping, too. I'm not even interest in it, but free rental why not. :D/

I've had games ship on Monday and I received them on Tuesday before. Depends where you live compared to where the shipping warehouse is. My game is shipping from Kentucky I believe. Also when did you order?

Checked the BB website today and I received my points for Dying Light today, that's pretty good. Haven't got the $10 Bonus Cert/Points yet, but I expect them to post by next Saturday.

After that posts I should have around $45 Certs to use on The Order. After going back and checking my history, it seems since March 2014 when I started shopping at BB, I've earn about $350 in Reward Points. That's really impressive.
[attachment=11444:image.jpg]

More importantly since you earn more points when you use the BB Credit Card, I plan on earning a lot more points then that this year.

Not sure if its just me but i was planning on preordering dying light tonite to grab that $10 cert. (was waiting on reviews, which still havent come in).

Taking a look at the $10 reward cert page, http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Games-Promotions/My-Best-Buy-Get-10/pcmcat308100050002.c?id=pcmcat308100050002

Mortal Kombat 10 is missing from the list, though on the game page it still list it as giving a $10 cert.

I hope that doesnt mean they plan on removing the cert for it, was planning on picking that up.

P.S. : How can you tell if your going to receive the $10 cert. Will it show up in your cart during checkout or will it automatically be applied to your account after the 15 day wait period?

Thanks. First time ordering on BB & receiving a reward cert.

Honestly if you didn't order before midnight, you didn't preorder it. Next time your on the fence about a game, preorder it for instore pickup. That way if you decide to get it, you actually have it preordered. Or if you decide to cancel it, you can do that also.

Now to answer your questions, MK has never been added to the BB $10 Reward Cert page. It has been posted on the Unboxed Forums that it would be part of the promo but that's it. BB normally adds multiple games to the list at once, so they may just be waiting for that.

When you do preorder a game, there won't be any indication that you'll receive a bonus Cert, it doesn't appear in your cart. The bonus can take up to 15 days before it posts to your account. Sometime even the base points will post before the bonus(just like I posted above with my preorder). When you do receive the bonus, it will looks something like this

it's not too late to pre-order the game.  it comes out tuesday.  i've purchased pre-order games at 4pm the monday before release and still received my $10 RZ cert no problem.

i cant decide whether to pre-order, or just use that $10 coupon to get the same price.  yes i know i could have tried to stack it, but that wasn't worth my time.  i kinda want to wait to see reviews, but some copies shipped early and a few streamers have already played it.  it sounds promising

No biggie tho & thanks for the info ill look out for the rewards points in 2 weeks.

Dying Light? You without a doubt can preorder to receive the $10 cert AND use the $10 off coupon when you go to pick it up... therefore getting you both. I've done it with Madden.

This is correct. Did it with Call of Duty. You can stack GCU, pre-order certificate, and $10 off promo coupon. They had me pre-order with my MyBestBuy number for $5, then I brought in the coupon and they added the GCU discount with the coupon. Then a couple weeks later, got the 500 points ($10) for pre-ordering.

Are in-store preorders working for Dying Light? It's showing sold out whenever I try online, despite trying multiple stores and both versions.

It Should.

I was getting a sold out error due to high demand yesterday on the xbone with in store pick up and it finally worked after a few times.

I pre-ordered in store tonight, but check again online because multiple times I have had the same issue when doing online in-store pickup orders. Check again later tonight because sometimes the option for your store comes back in time for you to still pre-order it. The Unboxed Forum people are a bit clueless on this issue, but basically it seems that sometimes the stores reach a capacity of pre-orders or something, but it doesn't mean they won't allow the option again before release.

It's working again now, might have just been an error since their online system for ordering seems to be unreliable at best. Tried both systems and it's a small Best Buy, so figured it was a system error.

Still debating on pre-ordering Dying Light. I have see no reviews for it at all though which is concerning. I know Dead Island games were pretty buggy so not sure what to expect with this

As of Friday, Polygon and IGN didn't even have the review copy. Probably the same with everyone else. Looking like reviews might not be out until the game is already released http://www.reddit.com/r/Games/comments/2tnfvk/dying_light_devs_said_no_review_embargoes_sooo/

I was going to get on release since I should be able to beat it in time to trade it in for $44 by next week. I love Dead Island too so that's also a plus. If it didn't have the cert, I would have waited until it was under $35 <--- Who am I kidding I would have bought for $48 anyways. I really want this game lol, can't wait

I decided to preorder with in-store pickup. I can always just let BB cancel it if reviews bomb. But the twitch stream I was watching Sunday night was amazing.
