I pre-ordered both MK X and GTA V online but for instore pick up. Goro was sent via email within 20 minutes of picking up the game. I didn't get any thing for GTA V... There is a code in the box for $1,000,000 ($500k GTAV & $500k GTAO) but that doesn't add up to $1,200,000.

 
Guitar Hero Live has been added to the $10 certificate Pre-Order list, guess I have to buy that now to.

Excited to see Guitar Hero added. Maybe when we get more info on RockBand, it will too. I was super excited for RockBand, but Guitar Hero Live looks sweet. Also it seems new music will be added for free. Now I will need to decide which to get. I'll probably end up with both though. About 6 months ago, I pulled out all my plastic instruments for my kids to play. They really enjoyed it, my 6 year old daughter loves the drums.
 
I'm glad that MGS V is on the list. I'll pre-order that. I'm on the fence with getting Batman day 1. I might wait until black friday for that game.

 
For anyone new.

Don't be alarmed, when the points are pending or even clear, your 500 bonus points might not be there. It can take up to 15 days for the bonus points to arrive. Last year during the peak months of this promo, every other post was someone saying they didn't receive their points, or when will they get them. Let's try to keep those comments to a minimum.

Sometimes the base points will be pending and post to your account before the bonus points even show up. Also when you look at your purchase history, the points/purchase will show up under the date you preordered(not the date the game released).

Me. I picked it up around 8 pm EST last night and I still haven't received anything. Nothing was on the receipt or in the box. I have been checking my inbox and spam box.

 
It seems people with instore preorders are having trouble getting their code? Goto the Unboxed forum, you'll have it within 24-48 hrs, normally sooner.

I preordered online, with shipping. The game came Tuesday but I received the code on Monday, when it shipped.

Picked up my online in store pre-order yesterday around 5pm central and received my code today at 9am central.

Weird because for Hardline I received my code within 30 minutes of doing the online in-store pick up order.

 
Does anyone else have issues with Best Buy not processing your payment correctly when you use a rewards certificate when picking up a preorder? I had a $5 rewards certificate, and yet it doesn't seem like they applied it. This is the second time I have had an issue with Best Buy not using my certificates correctly when picking up a preorder.
 
I haven't used BB in a while but man was my experience yesterday bad. I went to store 142 to pickup my PS4 collector's edition and since I had the Witcher 3 on pre order as well they would not give me the game. I waited at the store for an hour and a half and ended up coming home with nothing. I called CS and got them to ship me the game now they are snail mailing it to me. This same store also had no copies of the XBONE version. I like the 20% off but after this I can see why I always use amazon ( I havent gotten messed up CE's). I guess it's best to always do the "ship" option.

Are you sure it was the cert that didn't get applied? I know a lot of people have issues with having the $5 they put down for the preorder being applied.

They wouldn't give you MKX because you have The Witcher preordered? That's odd.

The total for the game shows up as $42.99, but I guess that could be the certificate. I assumed it was the $5 deposit. I will see what Best Buy says, as I sent them an e-mail explaining the situation and how it seems their system is having an issue processing what should be a pretty simple transaction.

Yeah they said they would have to cancel my order and give me the collector's edition with no goro dlc since it's like buying it on release day. I got my dlc code via email but now I have to wait for the game in the mail. So from now on I will order them one at a time and only ship to my house.

Yea I'd say they actually applied the Cert, it's the preorder deposit that didn't take. It seems they barely ever do. One guy on here had a ton of $5 giftcards from every time he preordered a game and they didn't applied the $5 deposit.

Just another reason why just doing it online is better. If you do online, you get the points and bonus points earlier and also normally receive the preorder bonus codes sooner. Also you always get your game. It seems a lot of people that do instore pick up, have had their CE games sold to other customers.

I'd say use it towards The Witcher 3, you'll get another $10 cert and you'll also get the Steelbook for preordering.

I did both preorders online and in-store (I have two gcu accounts)
I picked up my online order Monday night and was emailed the dlc Tuesday morning
I picked up my in store order Wednesday and the dlc was printed on my receipt and sent to my email 30 minutes later. I didn't check if the code was the same or not but most likely.
My deposit was applied to my instore order but I did put down $40+ on it. I stopped putting down just $5 for in store preorders due to workers not applying the deposits correctly. Its a lot more noticeable if they fail to apply a $20 deposit as oppose to $5.
Now to patiently wait for the RZ cert so I can apply it to Witcher 3 hopefully
