The minimum requirements for the CPU is i5-2500k (GPU - 780 Classified)...I have that but have it OC'd. If I cant play on at least HIGH then I would rather have it on PS4.

Steam is amazing. I go with disks for consoles since the games will only ever work on that system. For PC though, I love being able to log in to any computer on Steam and start installing my collection of games. It also lets me share my entire collection with my family and also stream between devices quick and easy.

Steam isn't just DRM it add's a lot of features. It is worth shedding the 5x DVDs that games for PC come with.

It's only been out a week now, you'll probably have it by Friday, are the points pending yet? Under purchase history, the transaction should be under the date you preordered. Also how early/late did you preorder? It's been just about the case for everyone, the sooner you preorder, the sooner you get the Cert.

In my own experiences:
Preorder at least a month in advanced, you receive the Cert within about 1-3 days.
Preorder about two weeks in advanced, you receive the Cert within about 4-6 days.
Preorder about one week in advanced, you receive the Cert within about 7-11 days.
Preorder day or two before release, you receive the Cert within about 12-15 days.
"Preorder" the morning the game releases, you WON'T receive the Cert.

YMMV, but that's pretty accurate for all the games I've preordered in the past year or more. I personally think BB has been getting a lot faster with delivering the Certs in the past few months or so. I've preordered every game that has been in this promo, except for maybe 2 or 3. Just to give people an idea from where my numbers came from. Also I've never preordered instore, but have done a few instore pick ups. I think preorders for instore pickup make the Cert take a little longer than standard online shipping preorders.

-Do I get the $10 cert even with GCU?

-Does Best Buy charge when shipped? Or as soon as you pre-order?

-Finally, does Best Buy get Harley Quinn? The page doesn't mention it =p

- Yes GCU members get 10 cert IF you preordered before release date.

- Bestbuy.com charges as soon as you placed the order, you can preorder instore and only need to put $5 down.

- IDK

 
Bestbuy.com does not charge you when you place the order. The put a temp hold on your card to see if they funds are there but they do not actually charge you until it ships. They might check every now and then with a temp hold again to still make sure you have the funds depending on how far out the pre-order is.

Unless you use a giftcard or Paypal, then the funds are taken when you order.

Are you sure thats not the other way around? I have ordered a lot from Best Buy using credit card and debit card and they do a temp hold first and then I don't get charged till my item ships.

I know if you use pay pal or gift cards/certs it is taken right away.

Your both wrong.. They half charge you, then release it and then recharge you in full. Then cancel your orders. Then you call and get your order back, but never get the $10 GC.

i really wanted "the witcher 3" instantly.... but i can't trust brick&motar to hold or have avail the steel case.  hows everyone's "release day" delivery now adays. taking vacation just for this game.  

 
I have free expedited shipping as an elite plus member and I got Mortal Kombat X on release day.  I did the same for Borderlands: Handsome Collection and got it on release.  I preordered Witcher 3 online to ship because like you, I don't trust their B&M stores with the steelcase.

The DLC code will probably be on an insert in the case. If not, it'll be emailed to you. I don't think it's an exclusive to any retailer, so even if it isn't mentioned specifically, it'll almost certainly be included.

I'm pretty sure the CE will have it in the box, anyway, as it has other DLC included.

I've had "expedited" copies show up a day or even two days late . Since they started doing express free on pre orders they've all shown up Tuesday . In most cases with the express option ups shows up nice and early as opposed to 4-5 o'clock . It all depends on your location from the warehouse , in my experience express has served me better .

if you're near a best buy, then do in-store pickup. Heck they might even do a midnight release.
 
Has there been any word yet if the witcher 3 runs better on any console or are they even? Hate to be a THAT GUY but if I'm buying the game and spending the same amount of money mite as well get the better version

Guess I waited too long which is ridic since it's still 3 weeks out.  Ill use "other" means of getting it on PC then.

try adding it to cart and go forward a bit with checkout process. I still see it on the best buy product page, but I've already preordered mine so I'm not sure if it would show up again for me anyways.

I added PC, PS4, and X1 and none show it. The main page also does not show.

 
Wow, Im glad I pre-ordered a few days ago when my MKX cert cleared. Maybe you can pre-order in store and get there early to snag a steelbook.

Im about to say F it and get it on Steam instead.  I have $10 in free monies from CounterStrike cases so it woud bring it to $44 when after GCU and the $10 BBY cert it would be $41.8X

 
Was waiting for some points to clear and they did today and no steelbook with WItcher 3. Oh well, I don't really care since I'm running out of shelf space anyways!

 
Glad I preordered Witcher 3 last night and the steelbook shows up on my order. I'm trying not to spoil the game by watching too many of the gameplay videos that are online.

 
Just a few days ago, a dedicated GameStop customer was banned from the GameStop store in the Mckinley Mall for answering a simple question that was given to him. What kind of question could possibly get him kicked out of a store that he shopped at quite frequently?

Well, first of all, this gentleman decided to pre-order a few PS3 games like Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 from GameStop in the McKinley Mall. A couple of days later, he went into Best Buy at the McKinley Mall to find out that Best Buy had a way more exciting deal when it comes to pre-ordering certain games than GameStop did. This customer decided that since he was going to pre-order a few games, why not go to Best Buy and get the amazing pre-order deal that they offer to receive $100 in Reward Zone Certificates.

So, after making the decision to go with Best Buy's deal instead of Gamestop, this customer walked over to the same GameStop store and asked to cancel all of his pre-orders that he originally purchased. The clerk asked, "Why are you cancelling all of your pre-orders? You do know that you can bring your old and used games in and get an extra 40% store credit towards your pre-orders?" The customer nicely responded back, with another customer wandering around in the store, that Best Buy was offering a superb pre-order deal that he could not just pass up. The clerk then proceeded to tell him that if he came into the store again, just to promote any type of sales Best Buy was offering, that he would be banned from the store.

A couple of days later, this same exact customer walked passed the GameStop store and just happened to spot one of his friends shopping in the store next to the cashier's counter. What would you do if you spotted your friend shopping in a store? Would you just walk pass the store and say heck with it or would you go in and see what they were up to? Well, this customer went right into the store and said to his friend, "Hey man, what are you doing at the mall today?" Immediately, the same clerk as before told him that he had to leave the store immedietely for promoting Best Buy to another customer. About twenty minutes later, this customer found out that his friend was canceling his pre-orders at GameStop so he could take advantage of Best Buy's offer.

This is just another reason why I think that Best Buy is going to dominate the gaming sales industry. Not only does Best Buy have an amazing deal going on for certain pre-order games, they also give a lot more store credit for trade-in games than GameStop does. I honestly do not understand why a clerk would want to ban a customer from their store for wanting to shop somewhere else. All I can say is, "I guess price matching at GameStop is out of the question."

Best Buy has $3.888 Billion of cash and short term investments. GameStop has $610.10 million. Yup Best Buys going out guys. Hubert Joly failed the turn around plan, he only brought the cash on hand from $500M back in 2011 to over $3 billion today.

I enjoyed looking at no's Best Buy site. The only part he forgot to mention was that I got to shake hands with Hubert at the ps4's midnight launch party :)

I preordered the Witcher 3 yesterday and it still had the bonus offer for a free steelbook - did it add one into the cart or was there any proof on the order that you were getting one? I'm kind of curious now because there's now no evidence that I ordered it with the free steelbook.

 
so, I have a Witcher 3 CE preorder from when they first went up, and that does not include the bonus steelbook correct?  And now Best Buy has removed the bonus steelbook offer from the product page?  fuck
