Preordered from amazon just for the beta code. At least playing the beta will be enough of a fix for this cod. I got aw just to try it out, what a waste. Same with ghosts

Im more than sure BO III will be made for the 360 and PS3. This is Activision's cash cow were talking about.
I actually wonder if it'll get the AC Rogue treatment, a (n even) low (er) effort version for last-gen consoles.

But then again, the install base for current consoles has risen significantly, so it might not be worth it for them to bother. COD sales are not what they once were anyway -- they're doing well enough, but notice that Activision isn't touting their numbers anymore.

It's also interesting to see how sales correlate to the previous game: AW, despite being the best COD in several years, didn't live up to their expectations, likely because of people being burned on Ghosts, which was a load of hot bullshit. But that might mean Blops 3 will see a boost, even if it does just seem to be AW Again But With Wallrunning We Jacked From Titanfall.

I always wonder how these games sell so well, when a new COD game is announced everyone always bitches about it, EVERYONE lol, if everyone is bitching about it then who buys these games? something doesn't add up
The simple answer to this is that a lot of people will bitch about anything and a lot of the whining and complaining about COD is done by people who haven't bought a COD in years. Same thing happens with Madden every year. They love to point out that they haven't bought the games in years because it makes them feel like superior gamers or something.

I'm waiting to preorder at Best Buy until the special editions are announced since there is probably going to be a Steelbook. I'll get my beta code from Amazon.

I'm kind of excited for BO3.

I liked the Zombies modes back in WaW and BO1 but BO2 just made it too big and overly complicated.  I think the map designs were just too much.  I'll give BO3 a try but BO2 got tired pretty quick for me.  One week in and I traded that sucker back into BB.

I'm personally glad last gen is finally singing its swan song. I think if COD is current gen only, Sony and Microsoft are going to have a very nice holiday season.. well they probably are anyway but this would make it even more so. That said there is a rumor that a separate studio may be working on a port to old gen which makes a ton of sense since that is Activision just leaving tons of cash on the table.

i hope it is on the wii-u too
Not a chance, 3rd parties and soon even Nintendo are done with that console.

Yeah i mean never mind the 10 or so games they have in development for it this year.
Does Nintendo have 10 titles in development? All I was aware of was Splatoon, Mario Maker and Yoshi's Woolly World and a 3rd party exclusive Xenoblade Chronicles X. But anyway that's why I said "soon" as Nintendo is not one to support a console once a new one is released.

NX is still at least 2 years away. Maybe even 3.

Xenoblade is actually 2nd party as Monolith soft is a subsidary of Nintendo.

I know there is also SMT x Fire Emblem, Star Fox, Zelda (2016) I there was 2 other games Miyamoto showed off at last E3

Star Wars Battlefront, Halo 5, and BlOps 3 are must buy games I'm really looking forward to.

My XBONE 500GB HDD is 93% full already, with games I currently own... I wonder why Microsoft didn't anticipate hard drive capacity constraints being an issue because surely most people will have 8+ games eventually.

They did. It's called an external drive. I'm sure they'll offer more sku's with larger hard drives, but i'm sure they were trying to save money at release (just like Sony) by keeping the hard drives limited. At least the external hard drive is a cheaper route than replacing the hard drive in a PS4.

How so? PS4 replacement drives are often ripped out of external enclosures anyway, and at least in that case you're getting a direct sata connection instead of going over USB.

Not to mention you can actually have an opportunity to speed up your system with an SSD or higher read rate on the hard drive.

PRICE: I believe 3.5 inch drives are cheaper than 2.5 inch drives in most cases (especially higher capacity) regardless of how you are getting those drives. If you want lower capacity it may not make much difference financially.

SIZE: I believe PS4 is limited to about 2TB in size due to the enclosure limitations. You can easily add a 5TB external drive to an Xbox One.

Right, I forgot about external 3.5 inch drives. I guess that's fine, but I don't know that I would actually put game installs on an external drive.

The speed increase on an SSD, in my opinion, isn't nearly enough to justify the massively increased cost. After all, there are more bottlenecks in these consoles than just a lower read-rate on the hdd. A good 7200rpm hdd is probably the most efficient choice -- or second to that, a hybrid drive is, from what I recall, only slightly slower than an SSD but way cheaper.

Apparently Arkham Knight is gonna have some sort of dual play co op mode.
There are AI companions at certain points in the story mode. Maybe co-op on challenge maps but it's not in the story.

Is there any good info on how external drives affect performance on the Xbox One? I assumed USB 3.0 must be similar loading speed to the standard Xbox One hard drive for them to offer the option, but I really don't know.

I got in on that Walmart price match deal for Batman Arkham Knight collectors edition. Will I be getting the $10 pre order promo as well?

Details on the deal?
In January I believe, Walmart.com had some price mistakes on video games, batman, MGS5, Uncharted 3, and Kingdom Hearts 3 from what I remember. Some people were able to get BB to match the price. I think the Batman CE was around $60.

Personally I tried calling 4 times and each time I talked to a different person, but they wouldn't price match because it was a preorder. Later in the day Amazon matched a few prices also. I did preorder Uncharted 4 from Amazon for $42. Which is pretty good considering with GCU it will still be $50. And we all know it won't be getting a bonus Cert.

I did preorder Rainbow Six Siege(xb1) when Bb had the price mistake. Anyone think I'd be able to swap it for a ps4 version near or after release?

Only in the sense that MS saved money putting a smaller HDD in the console. They don't make any money by making you buy an external USB drive.

I have a refurb 2 TB Toshiba USB 3.0 portable HDD on mine with a handful of games installed on it and I've noticed no change in performance. Just make sure you get a name brand and USB 3.0 and you should be fine.

Best Buy would only give you credit for the amount you paid for the game, so if the PS4 version of the game dropped to the same price you could do an even swap.

Was thinking something like an exchange without receipt.

Not really a big deal though, not too interested in the day anyways. Will probably just sell it on eBay, release day for $55ish. Something like

Game($42)
Cert(-$10)
Sell game(-$55)
Equals profit

Largest 2.5" wide / 9.5mm thick HDD is the Samsung (Seagate) Spinpoint M9 2TB drive. Anything bigger than 2TB in a 2.5" wide form factor is thicker than 9.5mm and won't fit in the PS4 at this time.

External drives, you can get them up to 5-6TB without much issue.

And yes, you can get a 3TB 7200RPM internal 3.5" HDD for the price of the 2TB Spinpoint M9 5400RPM. Maybe 4TB 3.5" at the same $100 price the Spinpoint goes on sale at, if you time it right.

Well look at it this way, steelbooks look fugly when not put up against multiple steelbooks.
Do they? I'm kind of late to the steelbook game. I probably only have about 20 between Blu & PS3 / PS4. I used to be big on slipcovers. Now, I go for the best artwork. Well, there is one on eBay from France. Maybe I'll go that route...

I don't know about getting gow3 remaster since I already have the saga for ps3. Might put that disc into the saga case though. Therealhard8times video about black ops 3 got me hyped though. Seems Chappie will be in it

I pre-orderd MK X last month. How do I check to see if they issued my $10? I have point banking on and I'm not sure if it was just added to my bank as I have not gotten a email indicating I was sent the $10. Do they send a email?

In your purchase history you'll see 500 points next to the mk purchase if you bought with a gift card or anything more than that if you paid with actual money
