Online preorders are tagged with name & order number sticker -- those are regular online pickup orders

In-store preorders are usually stacked up to the side without names (if they had 100 in-store preorders then 100 copies are set aside) -- they just ring it up as a regular purchase when you pick it up. Make sure you give your rewards number and make sure they scan the preorder deposit slip so your deposit amount comes off the total

Non-preordered copies are available to the regular public

Rock band wasn't available then guitar hero was though.
I cancelled 1 game in an order of 6 or for one reason or another and lost out on guitar hero and blops 3 and etc.
All the games reverted to normal price

So like the comment above said about customer service. We go to the customer service to pick up our game, not the register, and not grab a copy in the game aisle right?
 
Do you guys think there's any chance Kingdom Hearts III gets the $10 off promo?

And if it does and I already did my preorder, does the $10 promo get added automatically?
 
Sorry for the ignorance, I am thinking about getting Bestbuy Gamer's Club Unlocked but I was wondering if the 20% off new games also worked on collector's editions? I am wanting Persona 4 Dancing All Night for the Vita and was wondering if I could get 20% off when preordering.

Yes, go to CS for in-store preorders (they'll have it set aside there) -- nothing to pick up in the aisle yourself

If you preorder online then you just go to the online order pick up area

The 20% comes off with no issues when you pre-order online. I always pre-order online for instore pick up.The only reason my son, (who was getting Madden), wanted to pre-order in the store this time is we were there already trading in some of his games.

I unfortunately have the exact opposite problem. I get mauled constantly by people if I need help. Sometimes it's not terrible but there have been times I can't even walk down the aisle without getting asked by every person I pass if I need help. Sometimes they come back around and ask again. I'm all for having them willing to help but not to the point I can't just look at something in peace.

This has been said before, but it doesn't come up that often. When you pre-order in store you are not really paying anything off, it is a deposit. As such the money is just put on hold. When you pick up the game they "refund" you the money and apply it to the game. As such since you are not buying anything when you pre-order in store, you don't get 20% off. So if you were to pay it off in full ($60+tax) when you pick it up, you will be charged $48+tax and will get the difference back to the original form of payment.

This isn't how it works online since you are actually paying it off at time of pre-order, kinda...

I figured that but like i said it was my first time pre-ordering instore since they started taking more than $5 towards a pre-order. I pretty much pre-order online for instore pickup and when I had elite plus I would just get them shipped since I would always get them on launch day that way.

It just annoys me that the employees there never know anything about GCU and when you bring it up they think you are making it up or something.

I like when they ring up a game and it takes off the discount and they stare at the screen. I've had a few people call over a manager. That happened almost every trip when GCU first started the discount.
 
Just so you guys know, apparently MGSV spoilers are flying hard and fast now. I saw part of one but it was something I was already like 95% sure about.

tough to say, my preorders get shipped next day air on monday and get here tuesday. Id have to go with Hubert on this one and say Monday, especially since Best Buy seems to use UPS exclusively and they dont work on sat or sun.

 
If you want to order Mad Max - PS4...trying scrolling all the way down and clicking on the "mobile site" link and then adding it to your cart. Maybe there's a small risk in doing this while the listing is corrupted...but I does take the GCU discount and everything...so probably fine.

Otherwise, I guess just keep trying every day. It actually was somewhat fixed a couple of days ago, but it didn't last long and got corrupted again.

cant wait! when should i be charged for mgsv ce? like friday? not much experience preordering from bestbuys website. usually i have done it in store. also im assuming i will get the game in the mail like wednesday at the earliest?? chose the regular free shipping... if i wont get the game til after tuesday im gonna have to also pick up a vanilla copy on sept 1st lol.

Was able to make it to trying to order using your method however the order would not go through. And it's like customer service is either not listening to the things we are saying or they are able to do it fine. I alerted them to it and was told that the item was still available, and its like yeah but you can't buy it. Guess I may have to end up calling and having them put the order in for me.
