I've been on the fence on this as well. Decided to rent it and it really is pretty damn good if you're a Mad Max fan. Better than some reviews would lead you to believe. Great depiction of the MM world.

That said I have a feeling it will be $20 by Black Friday.

If you're lucky it'll be $40 before GCU and $44 after GCU. Today you get more money, but a few less points. I'd try to get there before close tonight honestly.

Good call. Went up there, used my $44.80 giftcard, had to pay $1.31 out of pocket. Took game outside, got the DLC and map and came back in and traded it in for a $44.80 giftcard

 
If I cancel a preorder in which I used a $10 promo code and a $5 reward certificate - will I lose them both, or get them back?
I've read on the BB forums that the certs get credited back, but couldn't find anything about the promo code...

First preorder experience from BestBuy was positive. MGSV was delivered on release day, got my $10 in points a few days later, and GCU  made it even cheaper. Looking forward to doing it again.

 
Yes GCU and the Certs make this a good promo. I've seen Dell has been giving away gift cards with preorder's, $15 for smaller games and $25 for the bigger releases. They seem to have a lot more titles in their promo. Still don't think it bests the GCU and Cert though.

Plus I hate Dell so I wouldn't order a game from them.

 
I think I've put off grabbing GCU for long enough.  Initially I held off because there weren't any Best Buys super close by, but these deals and pricing seem too ridiculous to pass up.  Everyone's good experiences with ordering online only seem to help that.  I just have a few questions.

1. Is release day shipping free for GCU members?

2. How often do they add games to this $10 pre-order stuff?  A lot of games I'm interested in aren't listed here.

1. I do mostly in-store pickup, but I'm pretty sure it is release day shipping.

2. It's mostly the "big" releases that they do the $10 pre-order thing on. BUT even getting new release games for $47.50 is good IMO. Takes less than three games over two years to get your money back from GCU.

Well, my pickup of MGS V from Wednesday is still not showing on MyBB.  I'll give it until Monday before I post on the BB forums.

If you preordered it online, the game purchase shows up on the date of your preorder instead of your pick up date when you view it from your myBB account.

At least in my case, that's not the issue. Seems like the people with this problem picked up online preorders in store.

This was an in store preorder and pickup. The transaction isn't showing, even though a trade I did at the same store right before picking it up is.

When it says within 7 days of street date does that mean if I pick it up the following Monday after release, that I'm still eligible for the 500 points?

i did an online preorder and ship to home and i have no record of it in my purchase history either. made the purchase on 8/29. meanwhile 2 other orders i made on 8/29 are shown as pending, as well as 2 trade ins (8/30 and 9/1) and a third purchase on 9/4. very strange that multiple people are reporting problems with mad max in their purchase history.

Mine was MGS, not Mad Max.

 
It can take up to 15 days before the transaction will even show up. Especially if you preordered the week before release. Regardless if you aren't satisfied with that answer, contact BB and they will tell you to wait 15 days and call back if it's still not there. No one was trying to be an asshole, just answering your question.

Both MGS5 and MadMax both posted all points for me on Wednesday, but I preordered way in advanced. Mgs in March and MadMax in July.

I had this happen on a purchase and it never got resolved. I wound up calling in to BB and while they could see it in their system I never did get an answer as to why it wasn't listed. They ended up just manually adding the points.

Anyone notice everytime you preorder from bestbuy with paypal, it shows a wierd email and not yours in the order status? I contacted bestbuy and they said it shows my email on there end and i cancelled about twice just to make sure it wasn't a hacking error.

I don't pre-order with PayPal, to me it's a hassle and more problems can happen.

its been doing it to me as well, i cancelled a couple orders and changed my password because of it, lol.

 
Just preordered the Uncharted 4 CE. I don't know if I would've paid the full $120 for it but I couldn't pass up $96. Once again thanks GCU for both saving AND costing me money lol.

Is it possible to add certs and gift cards to an existing order? The only thing its letting me change is the shipping speed. (I currently have the black ops 3 juggernog edition pre ordered so I can't cancel and make another order)

You might be able to call in and get them to apply it over the phone. I know you can change payment to a different card over the phone but not online.

No they can't change payments like that. I was told they can't modify an order with changing giftcards or adding certificates.
