Ah, okay. I'll see what happens and go from there. It seems like others have had the same issue where some orders only show under Order Status and not under Rewards Purchase History.

that is the only place it is listed though, somewhat similar to the gears of war remaster situation. there is still no information confirming the $10 on the games page. ie the blue banner or being listed in the special offers.

and i guess best buy is really on the guitar hero/rock band bandwagon, they had an entire side of one aisle dedicated to them. it's going to be completely empty for another 2 weeks.

Can someone answer this question for me? I am looking at preordering Halo 5 Guardians from Best Buy. Is the $10 reward certificate only available for the normal $59.99 edition? Or does the limited edition come in the $99.99 as well?

The past few Certs I received the day the game released, or the day after at the latest. Do you happen to be preordering 1-3 days before release? Seems the sooner you put in your preorder, the faster you receive the bonus. If a game is in this promo, I tend to place my preorder no later then 3 weeks in advanced. Normally I put in my preorder earlier then that. For reference, I had MGS5 preordered in March and I already have most of November's releases preordered as well. For online orders, another benefit for ordering sooner, you'll most likely receive your game at release also. The last game I preordered late(week before release), it took 15 days for the bonus Cert to arrive and the game also arrived 2 days after release. Hope this helps!


Edit: On a unrelated note, I'm all for helping people but answering the same questions over and over again sucks. Maybe we should just link people to the OP.

For some reason I wasnt able to Preorder Fifa 15 Deluxe Edition so I had to settle for the vanilla version.

its been more than 15 business day since release. you should give them a call or post on the bestbuy unbox forum.  i'm sure your anxious to roll the certs into another game.  

 
Yea it took me awhile to receive my certs for MGS V. This also ends my streak of stacking certs on pre-ordered games that I get certs with. Damn you Disgaea

 
Reading through this thread, I don't think I ever got my points for MGS5 either. And I preordered it pretty far in advance. If I don't see anything come in after this week, I think I'm going to try and reach out to Best Buy about it. 

 
Just a reminder, when looking at your account, look under the date you preordered for the points. Not the date the game released.

Yeah, I had to pull up orders from the last 6 months to look up my points; so, you wont find it at the top of your 'Order Status' list. They make you work hard to view the 500 rz certs you received.

 
Gotta give major points to my local Best Buy. For in store pre-order they are hand writing post it notes with people's names and transaction numbers. Very easy pickup.

I'm really confused about my situation, and was wondering if someone can help.

I recently pre-ordered and bought Mad Max.... i was expecting to get $10 worth of rewards... but if i log into their site and look:

They gave me:

618 points for the purchase:

59 for the purchase

59 bonus

and 500 'victory can be preordered' points.

is 500 points = $10?

That seemed to automatically trigger a cert being made for $10 because I only have 129 points left in my account. Hmm.. I guess the more i look at it, the more everything makes sense. i just figured points were worth a penny, not 2 cents.

Yes 500 points is the 10 dollar pre order bonus.
 
I'll ask over on Unboxed as well but I have a quick semi-unrelated question.

I have Fallout 4 and some other games preordered with the Best Buy Mastercard. My card expires next year. Will it still work even though Best Buy has sent out new Visa cards? Don't want to risk my order getting screwed up.
