Good one. So totally original.

My local Best Buy used to do Midnight Releases, but for some reason they recently stopped. They were always a good time with nice people, cool freebies, and we were always in & out very fast. Shame they stopped doing them.

do you guys remember if they check for receipts when they give out freebies? I'm going with a friend that i reserved a copy for, but i'll just buy a regular copy in order to get a freebie and return later. my steelbook should be delivered tonight as well.

 
All the hype for Fallout 4 is getting to me and I have never played anything in the series. Just pre-ordered my copy as I figured if I do end up not liking it, it will have a high trade value for awhile plus I'll get the $10 rewards certificate.

 
Single player impressions of BLOPS 3 seem really good out there.  There is an entire zombie campaign based around the single player story you can play after beating the game.  

Since I plan on keeping FO4, I am considering buying Tomb Raider now and playing that first and then trading back.  Wish more BF deals would drop so I could make a plan.

I plan to get FO4 on PC and ROTTR...gonna preorder both on Friday. Still debating on which BLOPS3 I need/want; depending on if I trade my console in for the Elite Bundle.

 
Weird, checked my rewards points and both my halo console and regular halo 5 purchase received the 500 victory can be preordered bonus

yeah I am in the same boat about which version to get... by all accounts the ps4 version was sharper and more defined (obviously its running at 1080p), but the xbox version had a more consistent 60 fps. Honestly I think I will go with xbox just because I am eventually going to get an elite controller when I can.

 
I preordered BLOPS for a friend last night, as I have no interest in the series.  Nice to se I'm getting a $10 reward with it!

That's my problem lol...I can get BO3 on PS4 now...and then again later on X1 when I get the Elite.

OR I can buy the Elite BUndle and not waste my BBY Credit on the PS4 version since I would get BO3 X1 "free" lol

I know that you can preorder an eligible game at one store and purchase a copy at another to still get the bonus reward points.

What I am not clear on, is what do you do with the initial $5 deposit/receipt? Do you use it to purchase the game at the second store? Do you get it refunded at the first store in some way that doesn't invalidate the promotion? Or do you just eat the deposit as the cost of convenience?

For the purposes of this exercise, assume the preorder period has expired, so canceling at the first and preordering again at the second is not a solution on the table. ;)

Yeah, I played 2 matches on Xbox One. I still don't know what I was doing. I played as Montana and just minigun sprayed. We wrecked the other team in both matches, and I have no clue as to why.

 
So my dad's account says his PC copy of Black Ops is ready to be picked up. I assume that's inaccurate. He couldn't just go to the store and grab it now, right?

 
I pre-ordered black ops 3 earlier today on bestbuy.com. There wasn't any mention of the extra $10 during the checkout or confirmation, and it said I would only get 52 reward points for the order. Is this correct?
 
I pre-ordered Blops 3 this morning and it said I would get it delivered on launch day if I ordered it by 8:00am PST. I placed my order at about 6:30am PST but it's still just "preparing to ship" so I should probably not expect it tomorrow...right?

 
So if I order BO3 t online before midnight today I will still get the $10 reward? The 5pm CST only applies to in store purchase correct?

 
I tried to deposit $5 towards black ops around 7pm at bestbuy but was told they couldn't and I had to pay $50. I've never seen that girl who rang me up before though so maybe she's just new or their having a midnight release or somethin
 
No swag whatsoever at my Best Buy.  Oh well.  At least I didn't ahve to wait outside in the cold like the people at teh Gamestop in the same center lol

Is there anything else I need to do before I go in next week to pick it up and pay off the balance?

Also I should get the $10 in points as long as they scan my Member ID card at pre-order and at pick up,right?

Yep just give them your number or card. Just remember it can take up to 15 days after release for the bonus to arrive. Next time try to preorder earlier, they seems to come through faster that way.

Remember your order will be held at Customer Service on Tuesday. You need your receipt or My Best Buy info and ID to get your game.
