I am every much looking forward to getting my button set in the mail packed in an enveloped and smashed into numerous metals bits and pieces. Thanks Best Buy!

I wonder if they are going to phase out the $10 cert program entirely?

again for the last couple years in a row the list always look bare like this this time of the year. New titles are usually never added until end of January to early March so the list is perfect normal as it always had 0 to 2 titles max this time of year and will for a while longer as it routine

Sadly, your going to have to say this about a dozen more times before they add more titles.

Bummer, I lost my pre-order points doing a price adjustment on BO3 around a week ago.

Did it in-store, asked for a price adjustment, receipt says PRICE MATCH on the top and it says ADJUSTMENT APPLIED below the $16 refund. So just the one entry saying I got a credit.

My reward history shows the original transaction as 3 entries, $0 for the original (paid by gc) and then an extra -$48 and +$32 got added.

I'm not sure how many points I lost. I think it just zero'd out my balance since I have 0 points now, and I think I only had 100 or 200 points when they did the clawback. Reward history doesn't show the 500 preorder bonus anymore and -16 for the original order.

My price adjustment I did via email on SWBF is fine though.

Same thing happened to me, I price matched Star Wars Battlefront in December and the original transaction back in November no longer had the 500 bonus points and my Gamer's Club bonus points were a negative 16 points. The regular points were corrected to the actual amount I paid. I think the store did do it as a price match but the system treated it as a return/rebuy which nullified the pre-order bonus. So instead of going negative in overall points, the system cancelled two 5 certificates I had. I called customer service and while it took awhile (30 minutes) to explain everything, they just gave me back 531 points as a separate transaction. They said they couldn't go back and fix what the system did with the recalculations after the price match. I verified the points back in my account while still on the call.

Granted, the first-half release lists usually aren't this strong, either. Quantum Break, ReCore, Uncharted 4, DOOM, DiRT Rally, Mirror's Edge: Catalyst, MLB The Show, Street Fighter, Far Cry Primal, Dark Souls 3, Dishonored 2, it's all incredibly busy in the first-half of 2016. Compare that to last year, when it was Dying Light, Xenoverse, Bloodborne, and not TOO MUCH else.

I'm not losing sleep over this by any means, but it's still odd for them to have so many games coming out in the next 1-2 months that aren't on the list. Not giving folks much notice of release for games with the rewards.

I logged into My Best Buy today and noticed my points were 100 higher than they were last time and I didn't buy anything. I was like uhhh wtf. I noticed I got rewards points for $101.00.

It said gift certificate issued: $100.00... St Jude donation: $1.00. Listed as a Best Buy purchase at my nearby Best Buy. But I didn't buy anything and I checked my bank account and no purchases made.

Any idea what this was about?

I don't have an answer but I had a similar occurrence, I had a purchase show up from a store about an hour away that I haven't gone to in years and it was for a $50 Applebee's GC but there was nothing on my credit card or bank account. I just figured a family member bought a GC while they were out that way over (I do have family over there and I know family that went near there) your story makes me wonder more about it though...

Someone gave the wrong phone number or CSR mis-keyed it, and you got credit for the purchase. This has happened to me a couple times.

Yes, this is the likely story. I even have another dude who has my cell phone number registered (he's in Boston) - so I have to tell them which account every time I read off my MN cell phone number. Not only that - I just received a birthday reward for $10. My birthday is in several months and they thought it was this month. *shrug*

Best Buy issues $10 birthday reward certificates?

Best Buy issues $10 birthday reward certificates?
I got a 10% off coupon in my email from them yesterday saying Happy Birthday. It pretty much excludes everything worthwhile like TVs, Apple stuff, Xbox One / PS4 consoles. I think I'd much rather have the $10 specially with all the exclusions on the 10%.

BBY usually sends me a $5 certificate for birthday, guess they figure Im old af I wont be around much longer to spend $10 lol

Where do I check when my Gamer's Club membership expires?  I checked "Rewards Overview" and it only shows "Through Invalid date" where I thought it would be.

Mine has said that for months now so i dunno. Gcu keeps working 4 me tho so i just got used to it. I messaged a mod on the best buy forums and he said he can see my expiration date just fine on his end.

If you fully sign out of the site and log back in, it would sometimes show up fine. You can also try to clear your cookies/cache or use another browser that you normally don't use to log into BB. I've had that work as well.

Ohh different browser worked. Thanks! Didn't try clearing cache since I don't want it to affect other stuff of mine.

Totally forgot Battleborn was on this list. I'm hoping they add Doom, Overwatch or some of these other releases out by June.

Lol ReCore isn't coming out this year. I'm pretty doubtful about Doom, Mirror's Edge, and Dishonored 2 too, at least in the first half.

You're also responding a week late about a game that was delayed five days after my post. I obviously can't see the future, and those delays/possible delays won't change the validity of my statement. 2016 will still be much stronger early than 2015 was, and it won't be remotely close, unless several of the planned games becomes giant flops.

I didn't know they ever officially delayed it, but it's a Comcept game with nothing shown other than an announcement trailer. It's not about "seeing the future", it's common sense. They still haven't squeezed out Mighty No. 9. It was pretty obvious it wouldn't hit this year, definitely in the first few months. Considering how completely inept they are, it won't be this year at all, and if it is, it'll be a real shitshow. Their co-developer on it doesn't have the best pedigree either.

I guess I just don't get the hype for it when there are some legit games on the horizon like Quantum Break. And, sure, considering there was almost nothing early last year, it won't take much for this year to be better.

MS announced Recore for second half of 2016, albeit it was to say it was delayed for the 1st half of 2016.
Yeh, I didn't see that, just the Scalebound delay, which I actually did think was pretty surprising considering the rate Platinum is churning out games these days.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not hyped for ReCore at all. We were just mentioning games on the way, and it was supposed to be one.

man this thread is sloooow. Hopefully some new offers pop up. Debating since my GCU runs out at the end of Feb if I should renew or switch to a new buying format/store. (Amazon/Digital). Decisions, decisions... That 20% off (then +6% for Sales TAX, SC) is close to what amazon has on games I think for prime members, but I never know what games have discount for prime members.

E3 you noob. Every year the bulk comes around E3 with the exception of a few that come afterwards.

Every year from January through May, everyone thinks the promo is going away. It never does. There are a few games I thought would be in this promo by now.

With Target regularly putting games on sale for sub $40 and Amazon having similar discounts of their own, everyone is trying to compete with GCU. I'm sure BB sees this. Basically even with GCU, the $10 reward Cert is one of the things BB has the advantage with game sales. I don't think they'll get rid of it.

If you want a certain game in this promo, you could always go over to the Unboxed forums and post about it.

Personally I'm OK with some games not being included in this, I've purchased nearly all game in this promo. This will give me some time to catch up on my backlog.

It keeps you at Best Buy. They want you to spend that $10 on a high margin item.

Sad pickins', sad pickins' indeed....
