I haven't done business with Amazon in years because of shipping and their new initiative changes nothing. I never used Prime for movies/tv shows and free shipping just doesn't matter when BB has had the better deals or I can PM in-store. I'd rather have my 20% on all games, reward points, and not have to wait for the mail.

Same I have Netflix and use Spotify free so those offerings of prime dont appeal to me. Pm'ing them is a breeze too. I can see how Amazon appeals to people who dont have a best buy close by though. I will say this, I hope with amazon trying to get back some of the market they lost by copying GCU will push Best Buys hand a little and motivate them into adding more benefits to GCU and making it better.

Got an email from Best Buy last night comparing the benefits of GCU to PUR titled "Gamers know a good thing".

It reminded me of the commercials Walmart runs trying to convince you that they are cheaper than the local grocery store, because they picked items not on sale at the grocery store that week.

I wouldn't mind seeing that email. I barely receive anything from BB, besides emails that tell me I forgot something in my cart.
 
Isn't bb missing out on the pre order bonuses and beta codes that other vendors are offering for sf v?

I think that with a high profile game like street fighter v they could do something like dark souls 2 back in the day. They just gave a gift card i believe if you just bought dark souls 2. They just immediately dropped the price of yakuza 4 by $10 on release day.

If they cant offer the normal pre order deal because of capcom i mean. Why not do something creative?

Sony is starting a new campaign for exclusive titles in which it will say console exclusive on the cover.

I still have mighty no 9 and battleborn pre ordered from that half off with skylanders glitch. Don't want either game now but afraid to cancel as not sure what will happen. Don't want them trying to charge me more for stuff I already picked up since I know cancelling an item resets all prices back to normal on the order.

I think someone tried a return and it reverted all of the prices back.

so pretty much you are stuck with them, that why it better to do separate orders when possible and not have tons of games on a single order to avoid problems like these.

It worked out for me since I wound up keeping GH Live and enjoying it immensely. Been able to get my money back at least on everything else fortunately.

Man, we really need another great glitch.

Yea I split stuff across 4 orders and these 2 games were slated for 2015 until they both got pushed back but neither interest me anymore. Guess I'll just pick them up whenever they do release and trade back in as soon as I can.

Ooh man, I'm actually in the same boat, but just with MN9, I have no problem keeping it, problem is MN9 was so delayed the card I preordered it with has since expired. Anyone know what happens if I let the order sit with the expired card?

In theory they should at some point ask you to update your payment info sometime before they charge you and ship, but from what I've seen from other people in a similar situation with this glitch, they'll either cancel the order or change the price back to normal.

How does canceling pre-orders paid with gift card credit and reward certificates work? Do I get refunded the whole amount, or do I lose the gift card credits?

You get gift card credit back but it goes on the original GC. So if you don't have it anymore be prepared for a long phone call with CS.
 
Took some of my fellow cagers advice and drive 30 minutes to signed up for gamers unlocked a couple of questions?

1.If i preorder a game and later on bestbuy says the game will have 10 gc will the gc apply to my preorder automatically?

2.When you preorder a game is it like amazon or does bestbuy give your a pre authorization charge?

1. No but you could cancel your order and replace it.
2. Yes BB has a pretty auth charge, it drops off a few days after ordering.

I'm guessing your planning on preordering online for shipment? My store is over 30 minutes away and that's what I usually do. As long as you order in advanced, you shouldn't have an issue with receiving your games on release day.

Haven't people been saying for months that the $10 RZ cert is automatically added so you don't have to cancel and reorder?

I found the gifts cards I used for the pre-order, would those be refunded as well? I plan to cancel online so I'm not sure if the site will tell me.

Even if they do add games at E3 like some of you are holding out for they're going to exclude a lot of big games like FC Primal, Quantum Break, PVZ, Mirrors Edge ect...I guess they could add a gift card the week of but I cant remember the last time they did that.

Oh I thought he was actually referring to the RZ cert promo. My Siamese twin Garth, who stayed at a Holiday Inn Express, said they did away with the gift card promos.
