Best Buy hasn't shipped my Gold Edition pre-order yet, I got my Fallout 4 Gold Edition pre-order a week late and the season pass 3.5 months later only after repeatedly hassling them about it. Hopefully the same doesn't happen with this.

There's SP content for The Division but similar to Destiny it will require an online connection.  Seems like a lot of general interest in the Division but I'm actually in the minority and have little interest in the game.

I'm the same way, multiplayer focused games don't really interest me these days. There was a time from like 2006-2011 or so where I was obsessed, but now they all kinda bleed together, and I get bored after about a few days of playing and never have an interest in going back. Regardless of what game it is.

It also doesn't help that I'm wasting time playing match after match while looking over at my super long backlog, which I could be chopping down with the hours I'm wasting on multiplayer.

I very rarely play games online anymore, I just get more enjoyable experiences from single player games/modes.

Yeah, except it's not "just like Destiny", in that, you can go everywhere in NY, except the DZ, without having to deal with any other basement dwellers. THAT is the largest aspect that appeals to me. It may always be online, but I don't have to be "social" if I choose not to be.

You can mostly do the same in destiny.

Division is Destiny in New York City lol. Can't wait for people to understand the struggles of Ubisoft servers!

Um, nope. Boot up Durpstiny and you cannot avoid running into people who are in the middle of or already killing the enemies you want to kill.

If I want to roam the land as a one man killing machine, I cannot avoid other people in Destiny.

What's to say division will be any different?

So it's an MMO. There's instanced content in both just like WoW and most other modern MMOs. If you actually want to progress in the game it's almost certainly going to require leaving those instanced areas.

Cause I've fuck ing played it! Alpha, Closed Beta, Open Beta. The Devs have already stated as much and the servers aren't going to go live and suddenly populate the world with all these other players that didn't exist in the other builds.

Last time I checked, alphas and betas aren't representative of what's to come in the full game

Has anyone from the bestbuy pre order glitch from a while back needed to change their payment information? I had to change mine because a card was canceled, and now it looks like they're charging me twice for all the items that had already shipped, and at full price as well. I knew from reading before that I might be charged full price, but did not expect to be charged again for the shipped orders.
Yes this caused a huge pain for me. I had ordered 23 games where maybe 12 had already been fulfilled. They charged full price on every single one. Alex-BBY on their support forums was no help and generally just pissed me off. It took about 5 hours of work and several calls to fix it. They basically just sent me a electronic check of the difference.

I'm gonna be in the same fucking boat when mighty no 9 hits. fuck THAT fuckING GAME IF IT fuckS MY BB ORDER. Would have been completely fine if they weren't scam artists and delayed the game over and over again.

I'm thinking I'll remove all payment info from BB, wait a week, then just cancel the game. I have enough bb gift cards to cover me if something pops up.

You guys realize that The Division is just like Destiny in that they're both MMOs, right?
Not all MMOs are the same. The Division seems to have a LOT more open area that doesn't require loading screens from hell, like Destiny has. The similarity I'll note is both seem to have no real "class" system, like most MMOs.

Ones a third person shooter while the other is a first person shooter. Did you guys know that? Good luck figuring out which one is which though 😄

Thanks for the comparison.

Destiny looks ok with the UI and the gameplay, but the Division is a step above it with better graphics and gameplay. Can't wait to get my hands on the Division on Tuesday.

Far Cry Primal not getting a $10 preorder bonus is definitely a bad sign.  I ended up buying the game anyways, platinum'd in ~30 hours, traded it in already.  Its not a very good game, so maybe Best Buy is just looking out for you!

My $5 extra for Division has already posted, not the 500 points yet though.  While order status has division bubble up to the top, for reward history you have to go back to when you ordered it (11/30 for me to hit the extra $5 bonus), it shows up as "Gamers Club Unlocked Preorder Point Bonus" and 250 points - 419 total with BBY credit card and elite+ bonuses, plus another 500 points when it posts.  Nearly $20 in extra bonuses all told on a $48 game, not bad at all.  Should stay at $35-40 for 2-3 months I think in TIV.  Wonder if Gamestop will guarantee a TIV on it for a month.

Nothing yet for me but oddly I have "Returned Certificate Point Adjustment" from yesterday. Only thing I can imagine is when I swapped out my destroyed P4DANCE for another one in an even exchange. The receipt shows $5 cert on both the return and repurchase so I have no idea.

wait, 250 points is $5? so i guess everyone is getting the $15? I didnt preorder during that week they had the extra $5 deal but i got the 250 points on my account.

After going back over my BB points, I found out I used over $330 worth of Certs on purchases in the past year. Not bad BB!

I still have $40+ worth in points. Not counting what I'll get for The Division.

Hmm. I got my $10 certificate for the division but I haven't gotten the $5 yet. I preordered during the bonus $5 week. Anyone else? Maybe it's just taking awhile to roll that out? Who do I contact if it doesn't hit? Does regular customer service deal with GCU issues?

Actually no. I did get the 250 points for preordering during the bonus. I didn't get the 500 points though. But what it did do is issue a $10 certificate from my already existing points without awarding a new 500. :(
