Pre-ordered a  :ps4: Gold Edition but will still stop by the local store tomorrow to see if they have any available for purchase since I do want to play a week earlier.

I missed the whole initial Destiny hype train and when I finally got around to considering jumping on, there was a lot of dissatisfaction about the state of the game. MMOs (or whatever alternate acronym the developers would prefer to use) have always had a large untapped market on consoles. The WoW style of 30+ keybinds would never translate well to a gamepad, and I'm glad to see this trend of fitting controller-friendly interfaces being fitted onto the MMO concept.

I may end up not devoting as much time to this as I'd like, but with no monthly payment compelling me to overplay and burn myself out, I'm okay with that.

I actually think The Division will be fun but I just do not have time for a game like this when I have so many other games I spent money on already. I will most likely buy it on sale this summer since I would most likely go solo anyway.

Same although I spent money on it already. I'm just going to return mine when I get it. I would have just traded it in since I have the $15 cert but I used my Paypal funds for some reason instead of my gift cards.

I might still end up with the game this week if my Gshare buddy buys it, if not I'll get it when it's around $30 in a couple months.

Well this sucks,  I pre ordered the collectors (ps4) on june 18 2015.  Now it tells me that my item is backordered. I called them and all they could do was keep my order open and give me $25 credit.  What irritates more is that this also happened with my MG5 collectors pre-order. I pre-ordered that 7 months before release.

Anyways, sorry for the vent.

That sucks. The PS4 version of the CE seems to actually be limited. Hopefully you still get it. I ordered it on June 15th I believe, the day it went up on the site. It Shipped this morning. It really doesn't even seem that special, not even sure why I want it.

Ps4 gold is available for order again.

Thanks, I still have the order "open" but I decided to buy it from PSN. I figured, since I'll be playing it a lot I don't have to switch discs. Hope you enjoy yours though!

I'm gonna be in the same fucking boat when mighty no 9 hits. fuck THAT fuckING GAME IF IT fuckS MY BB ORDER. Would have been completely fine if they weren't scam artists and delayed the game over and over again.

I'm thinking I'll remove all payment info from BB, wait a week, then just cancel the game. I have enough bb gift cards to cover me if something pops up.
A little off topic, but I did this. Check spoiler if you are interested.

My order was on a Best Buy Mastercard, but since they switched to Visa I had to update my card. The only remaining item was MN9. I removed all payment info and waited for a day. Then I canceled my MN9 order.

I had a lot of errors canceling, but eventually the cancelation went through and i got an email confirmation. I could also see the canceled order online and it showed my order was complete (19/19 items shipped). All good, right?

Then a strange thing happened, I got another email telling me that they were unable to update my order as requested. I again checked my order and everything was fine still showing the 50% glitch with a canceled MN9. Then I got another email asking me to update my payment info for that order. Then a third email telling me they were sorry, but my order couldn't be updated as requested.

I'm thinking they were trying to adjust the order and possible charge the full price for the glitched games.. Nice try best buy, but no chance. My advice is be very very careful when updating your payment info.

Yes this caused a huge pain for me. I had ordered 23 games where maybe 12 had already been fulfilled. They charged full price on every single one. Alex-BBY on their support forums was no help and generally just pissed me off. It took about 5 hours of work and several calls to fix it. They basically just sent me a electronic check of the difference.

Ugh looks like I'm in for a headache. Going to try and remedy this right now, hopefully will be able to get it solved.

Pre-orderable right now.

It's the only way to get the GCU (or Amazon Prime) 20% discount off the cost of the Season Pass.
Shoot, do I cancel my standard for Gold? IDK...wonder if I could do it, then keep the $10 LIVE card.

Heck, I don't even know if I can cancel the order online now. I guess I'd have to go to BB and do it, and they're closed. I think I have, like, and hour to make a decision. I think I'll risk the $10 and see if the Season Pass goes on-sale sometime.

While looking at The Division on my points. The 250 is listed as Unlocked Preorder Bonus. Made me think, they could add a new Perk to GCU and with all game preordereds you'd get a bonus $5 in points. While not as good as the $10 bonus, all titles would be eligible for this instead of it being restricted. Maybe The Division was a test for it? And maybe that's why they haven't added games to this promo?

Just speculation on my part though....

This happens every year and a lot of people have already mentioned that Best Buy $10 promo is usually revealed later in the year and they are mostly for fall and winter games. The only reason why there is a $10 promo attached to the Division right now is because it was delayed, same case with Arkham Knight which was released in the summer last year. Stop with the speculation and just wait until July or August when they actually update the $10 promo to fall and winter games.

Two questions

The early word on The Division seems to be that it's the usual Ubisoft formula wrapped in a TPS. Sounds fine, but not something I need right now. Is it possible to hold on to my unopened copy until my points are dispensed?

Secondly, when I pre-ordered The Division online, I also pre-ordered two other games, using reward points and two gift cards. If I wanted to cancel one of them (or return The Division), would I end up with $51 or so refunded to me? How would that work?

While normally I'd agree with you. If I remember correctly, the bulk of games are revealed around e3, but there have been many games added through out the years at different times. Last year a bunch of games were added in Jan/Feb 15, then again after e3. When was the last game added to this promo? July or August? Before then?

My original post was just pointing out that BB could be changing how things work. While I've enjoyed this promo over the years, I've purchased nearly all of the games in this promo, it just doesn't seem like it's going to be continuing.

I'll continue purchasing my games from BB regardless. But with Amazon offering 20% off now, I don't think Elite status and normal points will be enough to keep some customers.

Even if your points were distributed before the return by date, once you returned the game, any bonus points would be deducted from your point total. If you already used the points to issue a certificate, you would go in to negative points.

When ordering multiple items, the reward certificates and gift cards tend to be distributed among all the items. If you return The Division you'll get some of the refund in points and some returned to the gift cards.

What a mess. If bb wasn't going to honor the glitches they should of contacted the customers and gave them a heads up that they should cancel what they don't want in some specified time period.

Suddenly changing the prices on ppl seems to be unethical.

And b4 someone tells me I'm salty keep in mind that i didnt do the last batch of glitches so i wouldn't be getting away with anything anyway.

Except that this is entirely in line with their policy and people warned about it months ago.

I think it's less about them being shady and more about their glitchy ass system.

I came here to see if anyone else only had 250 points pending. I wonder why it's not showing the full 500.

Division finally shipped and I got the base points and the 250 despite pre-ordering long before the $15 promo. Now to wait for the other $10 to come in.

Did you pre-order during the promo period or before? If so then you're getting $15 back and the extra $5 has been posting immediately with the $10 to come in a week or two.

Will be picking up Division once BBY opens here in the west coast. For anyone that gets it before me can you tell me if the Hazmat preorder bonus printed on the receipt/email/or inside the package. I just want to make sure that I get it. Thanks.

Does anyone know if Best Buy plans to add any additional $10 preorder promo games anytime soon? I always thought it was a great deal, and I hope they haven't abandoned it. There's a lot of great stuff coming out soon.

A PS4 unboxing video shows it to be a code in the case.

Seems like I lost my $15 preorder gc for exchanging my XB1 for PS4 :p. Should have preordered the PS4 version last night just in case, but I took a chance on the 1:1 exchange going smoothly :p.

Did you preorder the Xbox one version, purchase the Xbox one version and then return it? If so, and you bought the PS4 version, you should get the $10 cert in the next two weeks. Not sure how the $5 cert would work out in this situation.

It's a "exchange" according to the receipt asked if there was any way to keep the GC since it was the same game and was told by the manager it was a no go, People at the pick up counter weren't the brightest though they couldn't figure out why one version was cheaper then the other till I asked if they had applied my GCU.

It's not a gift card, if that's what you mean, and if it's an exchange, I'm pretty sure you'll be fine.

Well, it looks like I missed an email asking me to update my payment information last month, so they cancelled all of my existing pre-orders (including The Division).

I'll wait a few days and see if it pops up on my account I guess I can always call in if not.
