Way more competition on consoles though (Halo 5, Black Ops 3, Battlefront, R6 Siege) are all still highly popular.

Heard R6 Siege and Battlefront basically dead on PC.

Overwatch will be a massive success. Consoles is just more sales but its PC that will be the user base.
You heard wrong on RB:6 on the PC. I have a group that plays almost nightly and we never wait longer then 1 minute for a game and rarely play the same people. It's far from dead.

I'm getting Overwatch, just not sure the platform. Console open beta will decide. Had a blast on PC. Shame the deal is so good at BB that it's not worth buying on b.net

Question.

For Lego Star Wars, 3DS version won't get the $10 in reward certificate?

It is on the list, when I click Lego Star Wars on the eligible titles page, but the picture on the front page of the thread implies PS vita and 3DS versions are excluded.

BestBuy says it has that Metal Art Plate bonus. I was planning to preorder 2 PC copies. Checkout only shows 1. Is that normal for these? What if I put in 2 separate orders? What if 2 separate orders at 2 different stores?

Edit: Even better. Checkout page shows 2 of them, but also that its $19.99 for both, with "Free with your Overwatch Origins Edition - Windows" right next to the price.

Man you guys got me thinking about on what device I should get Overwatch. I think my PC can run it (granted the beta would have allowed me to see that) with my Core i3-4330 3.5GHz & Radeon HD 7870 Sapphire GHz 2GB Edition (I was an idiot and didn't get at least an i5 :wall: ), but I do enjoy gaming on my Xbox or PS4... :whistle2:k

What platform will you have the most friends playing it on? Get it on that one.

Didn't think of that, probably PS4 since I just recently got my Xbone and really haven't gotten that many friends on that one. Then again I should probably survey and see who is getting it too.

Its a game that requires cooperation between team members, so more friends the better.

Thats how I got screwed with xbox vs ps4. All my friends had xbox one so I got that. They didnt tell me they dont play anything other than youtube, netflix and tv on it. I would have gotten a PS4 had I known.

But for overwatch I'm going PC. 2 copies, my 11 year old daughter will be joining me and she is hyped. No 2x ps4s or xbox ones to make it a possibility for us.

And in the end, I feel PC will have drastically more players.

Blizzard is primarily a PC game developer and Overwatch has been designed as a PC shooter from the start. So yeah, PC will probably have more players than any other platform. It will be interesting to see how well it sells on consoles though.

Diablo was actually really good on Console. IMO it was better control wise, than the PC was. Blizzard has done a pretty good job with console versions.

For this I'd say pc. Blizzard core crowd is pc gamers considering they only released a few console titles. But I figure console versions might have a lot of players up front but it will taper off within a year, meanwhile the pc players will still be playing it.

And I don't do as good at shooters with a controller. I cut my teeth with shooters on a pc so it's what I'm used to, my nephew though started with consoles and he is damn good but can't play with a keyboard and mouse worth a shit. Only console shooter I can play well is destiny, like it's tailored for me for gameply. Just boils down to what you learned on I guess.

Yea, it's painful for me to play shooters in general because I'm no where near as good as the old days. I remember getting hip headshots instantly in Quake1 TF and crap like that.

Now I take forever to aim a shotgun from 4 feet. I'm wondering if it's general old age or a matter of tweaking DPI and sensitivity.

Since this is the most active BBY thread these days..

Could someone answer a quick BBY question?  I think I read that you can buy Gift Cards 9like to restaurants & Gas Stations) that BBY sells with Reward Zone Certificates.  Is that correct?

And is it automatic or do you have to get an override?

Yes, you can use My Best Buy certificates to buy gift cards.

You'll be fine, I've got an AMD quad at 2.3, 12gb ram, ATI R90 2gb and could play on a mix of high and ultra at at least 50fps, usually around 70.

Using a RZ Cert on a giftcard is kind of a waste though since you save on tax the amount discounted by the RZ cert.

I mean it's not a lot but....CAG?

Thanks man that's what I wanted to hear :D/ . I want to upgrade my specs at some point, but I feel my PC still has some juice left before it reaches the need for an upgrade.

For those who pre-ordered Overwatch, did you get your early access beta codes yet?  Or an email stating you are eligible for early access when codes become available?

I preordered last Wednesday and received my two early access beta codes on Thursday, about twelve hours after my order.

I preordered both in store and online. My online code showed up, I wouldn't hold your breath for in store preorders.

Also, for whatever reason, a nice portion of computer games no longer come with disks. Diablo 3 did though, along side codes for each other game blizzard owns in trial versions.

That's standard for blizzard. Their latest release (Warlords expansion) had discs and a code. Along with all the trial codes.

Yea, mine came in today.

Normally blizz games retail have a disc but always outdated since day 1 patches and what not. But you would tie the cdkey to your account.

The standard digital from Blizz is 40, which normally wouldnt be bad, but GCU has origins for 48+tax. Supposedly on the $10 reward list, but I dont see it on the overwatch page itself. So for a few bucks more you can get the origins bonus'.

As for the beta code, that should prove you have the game at least to have it queued up in the battle.net app. I was in an open weekend in november and every couple weeks Id check and it would download latest patch but still be grayed out.

So once you have it in the list itll stay up to date. Now the only drawback is come May 24, picking up the physical copy just to get the code to fully unlock it on bnet.

Yeah I was about to place my order and didn't notice the $10 certificate being added. Granted I haven't pre-ordered anything in a long time so I can't remember if it has always been like this

Is anyone else concerned that Best Buy isn't mentioning the $10 cert for Overwatch in any of their online ads? They've mention the certs in ads for Lego, Battleborn, and Doom the past 2-3 weeks. Very odd.

It's on all the product pages..why would there be a reason to be concerned.
