As a My Best Buy member, get $10 in reward certificates per game title you pre-order and purchase.
Eligible titles are available for :xb1: :ps4: :360: :ps3: :pc:.
 
What do I have to do to qualify for this offer?
If you are an eligible My Best Buy member, pre-order your copy of any of the qualifying titles in either the standard version or special edition for PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS4 or PC prior to their release date. Then you must purchase and pick up your pre-order within 7 days of street date. Please provide your member number at the time of pre-order and pickup. When you meet these requirements, you will receive 500 bonus points credited to your account within 15 days of purchase or game shipment.
 
Where can I pre-order and purchase the qualifying games to qualify for this offer?
You may pre-order and purchase any of the qualifying games in Best Buy stores or online at BestBuy.com. Please provide your member number at the time of pre-order and pickup.
 
Can I pre-order and purchase multiple copies of an eligible game and get multiple rewards?
No. There is a limit of one (1) award per My Best Buy member per game title.

Q: Can the 20% off Unlocked benefit be combined with a price match?
A: At the time of purchase, you would receive either the price match or 20% off. You would not be able to receive 20% off of a matched price. If Best Buy's price is lowered during the return/exchange period, the price will be matched to the lower price (upon request). My Best Buy Gamers Club Unlocked Members should receive the new price along with the 20% discount. This price match covers one price match per identical item per customer.

well, good and bad news.  Good news is that the preorder points got posted as pending for GTAV.  Bad news is that it's only 500pts.  The twist is that my GCU expired on 9/17 (GTAV release day) and for a couple days, I couldn't get my GCU renewed.  Finally got it done on 9/18 or 19 then I picked up GTAV.  I wonder if the 1-2 day gap hosed me on the 1000pts.  Any advise other than posting on the forum or calling the silver hotline?  I'll probably call the hotline first and see what they can do.  If they can't, then I'll post to the forums.

You're supposed to be a GCU at the time of pickup. Since it expired, I don't think that made you qualify which makes sense to me actually. Whether you view the day of expiration as the same is a different matter.

The Madden pre-order 500 bonus points finally posted for me. So anybody that missed out on these should check their original preorder points. For some reason, there was a delay in posting these bonus points until just recently.

I'm planning on buying GTA V today. The website product page still lists the $10 reward certificates for pre-order, even though the game has been out for a week. If I sign up for the free My Best Buy membership today, it sounds like I'd be eligible. Right? If so, should I sign up online before I go to the store, buy online and have it ready for pickup, or can I sign up in-store after picking the game up off the shelf? I'm planning on trading in a few games beforehand to cover part of the cost (my first time trying that, too).

I'm pretty sure you're too late to get in on the $10 in RZ certificates, since you can't technically "preorder" GTA V anymore. Sorry. :cry:

Weird that it's still listed as a bonus on the site, but that's fine. If I can get the 100% trade-in bonus and $10 off PS Plus, I can still walk out with GTA V and PS Plus for around $50.

 
So South Park: Stick of Truth now was a release date of December 12. I had this preordered way back in February then cancelled when it got delayed. I've remained GCU that whole time, so I wonder if I can still get the $20 reward certificate for preordering...

 
Yeah I'm wondering if Best Buy will honor $20 preorders for unlocked members like they did for GTA5. That's the only way I'll get it on day 1.

They did with Splinter Cell: Black List and GTA V, so I'm sure they'll keep it for South Park, as long as you're a Unlocked member at the time of pick up.

 
Such a lame promotion by Best Buy here. I'm not interested in ANY of these titles.

How difficult would be it to throw some Wii U titles into the mix? There's a handful of major releases dropping in the next three months.

Heck even Batman Origins, which is being released on the Wii U, doesn't seem to qualify for this promotion.
 
havent done one of these in about a year, I assume I just get the $10 cert only, not that and points right?

Also anyone know if you can use certs on kindle cards?

You'd get a $10 certificate in points. So, you could redeem it later. I believe, if I am not mistaken.

And yes, you can use it on Kindle cards. I have in previous visits :)

 
Yes. The kindle cards are what I buy if I have a cert that is expiring. I just pay for the rest with one of my GCs or my pitch in card.

My closest store (about 2 miles from my job) supposedly has 0 copies so I had to call in and change to a store thats 14 miles away...lame as :censored:  thinking of just cancelling, the drive after working during rush traffic is not worth the savings.

$3 in gas, plus wasted time=$10

I preordered mine from Amazon. When I did it, not sure if they are still offering it, I will get a $10 Amazon credit when the order is shipped.

Also figure in Arkham Origins is just $50. It's a great deal.

 
Is it really worth it to preorder the games? It seems like any of the preorder exclusives that come with games end up getting released later on anyway as part of a platinum pack.

 
So I got 500 points posted for GTA V instead of 1000 and I called the Elite Plus dedicated line and they ended up giving me an additional 1000 points on top of the 500. So YMMV if you get this problem and call.

 
Hey did anyone get a $20 cert for GTA 5? I just received it yesterday for $20 not $10.

edit- I just noticed they took $10 away from someone, I hope they don't take my $20 away and give me $10.

Couldn't I technically upgrade CoD from the xbox 360 to one version with this?

Buy it for 60, get the 40.00 trade in + 10.00 coupon to buy the one version then get 10.00 from this?

I think you'll need the disc to access the content of the upgraded version. That's why you'll get it for $10 more.

Can't sell ps3 version and still access the ps4 version.
 
so I want to do stick of truth grand wizard edition, not sure if the special editions of games count or not, but BB doesnt have a store pickup option (dont want the money sitting out there with an onine pre-order) and I assume there is no instore sku.....boo

Special editions of games do indeed count for the promotion. I placed a pre-order on the Grand Wizard edition so I can get $20 back from GCU.

it is on their pre-order screen thing in store, but the register wouldnt allow it to be ordered so just gonna wait it out and try again in a few weeks

 
Did anyone else get 1500 rz points for GTAV?  I just checked the website and it says I got 1000 and 500 points for it.

 
Well with Watch Dogs getting delayed until Spring 2014 (sigh), I think I'll cancel that preorder and move it to a different next-gen title. Just don't know which one...

I'm anticipating this will not be an easy process since I preordered with an e-gift card from a trade in and a physical gift card.

Edit: it was actually pretty easy to cancel the order.  I think I will preorder Batman: Arkham Origins instead.  I guess I'll be playing current gen games a bit longer than I expected!

Ubisoft is probably stretched too thin for launching on so many platforms for both AC4 and Watch Dogs. I doubt they want this new IP to fail and risk losing tons of money from potential future titles.

yeah, i am not to thrill with the change of release date, but i can understand it. i guess i will just cancel my preorder, and move it to sometime else at the time being. since i paid for the collctors/limited edition, i had put down more than $5 at bestbuy. i don't like having funds being tied up for too long. is 6/24/2014 the new release date for watch dogs?

They mentioned Spring 2014, no specific date, yet.

 
Anyone having troubles placing an order on bestbuy.com right now? I keep getting an error while my order is being processed on the final screen-  trying to buy Batman: Arkham Origins using a combination of the free $5 cert, gift cards, and a credit card.

Edit: It finally worked, although only after I attempted the order through Internet Explorer rather than Firefox.

Is Best Buy still offering reward certificates with Batman pre-orders? Didn't see it mentioned on the product page under special offers. it says the metalpak is available via shipping only. If I pre-order online for store pickup, will the metalpak just ship seperately and come later in the mail or come with it when I pick it up?

a few weeks ago i place 3 preorders for watchdog, battlefield 4, cod ghost and the transaction still haven't post to my reward account ($5 down, $15 total).  I made several non gaming purchase after that and they all posted. In the past, these pre-order alwasy shows up for me. I don't want to lose the $10 back. I also tried adding the transaction manually but it says its already on the account.

Has anyone seen this before?
