Called the Best Buy near my house and they didn't have any in stock. Nearest one was Baytown, which is about 25 minutes away. Called them, the girl looked for it, couldn't find it and took my number and said she would call back if she could find it. Called back 15 minutes later, and had found the last copy in the store. Put it on hold for me, and I drove out. Can't be that bad for $5. It was the LE, btw.

Wrong.

BF3, MoH, Crysis 2, etc. all had a "limited edition" and then a separate vanilla edition. I've seen a ton of the latter still on store shelves. I am sure other games from EA are the same way.

The Run isn't that bad of a game. Pretty fun actually. Might keep this one rather than trade it in.

And there are two versions. Amazon has only the vanilla copy. If you picked up the LE, guess that means your store didn't sell out the original batch I'm guessing. My store had only the LEs.

Called the best buy in old orchard and they said they were out. Guy told me the one in evanston, IL says it has one in stock. Call them up and they found the last copy for PS3. Ran down there a few hours ago and have been playing it ever since. It is pretty alright. The third stage brought me back to when I played need for speed on ps1.

Lol, I too was surprised at how fast stores sold out; never usually had competition at my store for any flips. I got to my store right after they opened and they only had a single 360 copy left on the shelf. Buddy of mine told me online orders had wiped out all their PS3 copies overnight and the copy I bought was all they had left. I was pretty shocked, but I guess for $5 word got around. Was planning a bigger flip to GS but settled for just getting my PUR renewed. Oddly, he gave me 40% and then the additional 10% from PUR so I ended up paying nothing more lol.

Thought someone had said it was only an additional 30% right now, but I'll take it!

Ive played about 30 minutes of this game and there are no hot lesbians. The cars are very nice, but you told me there was lesbians and yet I have yet to see them.

This morning they all said they were unavailable. An hour ago or so they said they were available at all stores but one. I went for food and came back to place an order and they all say unavailable again.

My nearest store is a two-hour round trip drive with my toddler and I riding with no AC in the car. I would have loved to have gone and picked up a copy if it was easy to do.

Since all of my stores here say they are unavailable now, I looked up a store in my hometown in Missouri and it said it was in stock. So I called my dad to ask if he would pick up a copy if I bought it now. Sure enough, while I am trying to check out, it says it is unable. So I refresh and it says it is now unavailable. Funny, because the store has been closed for half an hour.

I just got back with my ps3 LE copy and a 360 LE copy for my bro. Almost got denied pickup where the rep referenced one per copy per deal. I politely pointed out it was one copy per system. She said "I will let it slide this time". Then she goes people have tried ordering 200+ of these so she is following strict guidelines. 200+ really! :shock:

Jeez.....the company seems so hesitant to take your money!

Makes me wonder if the stores are only told to allow x amount of their inventory to be sold during DOTD. Hearing various accounts here about them being pulled off the shelves, etc. make me think it could be possible. If you can order it for pick-up easily tomorrow at the $29.99 price point then I guess that adds more validity to it.

Kind of weird to have a fire sale price on an item and then hold back some of them. It's not like NFSTR was a super seller or anything.
