i swear ive seen more new members pop up in the past month than i did all last year. wth. anyhoo, i read the bb reviews and have 30 days to try it out before i return it. sounds fine to me.
Before you buy this controller read reviews on BB website

so air flo not afterglow? that sux. lol and wired? no thanx
i thought Sony nuked all wireless controllers for PS3?
i thought Sony nuked all wireless controllers for PS3?
I thought that also but I ordered the COD: Black Ops controller from Best Buy when they had that as the DOTD and I'm still using it to this day. I still have no clue if they really did mess with the 3rd party controllers.
Oh god damn it! I thought the deal of the day was for an official PS3 controller... Not that crap.
You wish. Those things still retail for the awesome price of $54.99. They won't be $10 for some time to come. Hell, Walmart is still selling PS2 controllers for $20.

i just bought that cod blops wireless ps3 controller not even a month ago for 9.99, so pretty sure they didnt nuke all wireless controllers...

I watched some reviews on YouTube and based on the comments, this controller has dead zones. Multiple people said that the movement of the sticks don't register unless you move to the stick all the way to the edge. Idk. I want this cause I came from Xbox, and cause I'm still using the first six axis that came with the PS3 without vibration. Is it worth it for $10 or are there other ps3 controllers with the Xbox stick layout?

Believe the dead zones. I was in the market for a 360-style PS3 controller when I switched over to PS3. I first tried the Pro Elite controller by Power A (same company as the airflo) and the dead zones were awful on that. I was VERY disappointed because I loved the controller and it was only $20, but the dead zones were a deal breaker especially for shooters.

I ended up getting the Mini Pro Elite by Power A, and while it is a little pricier, it is just fantastic. Here is my review of it on Amazon, titled "Excellent Controller, BUT.."

Be sure to check out that video review there as well, really helped me. I like this controller even better than the original 360 controller, which is (or I guess was) my favorite controller.

You could also check out the Batarang style controller by Power A, same 360 layout.

My friend uses the Afterglow PS3 controller with the 360 layout and says its very good also

Haha my bad, I was reading before that they did. Guess the blops controllers are safe lol.

Quick question, will this work on the xbox? I know it may be a stupid but I just want to know if it does or not because I'm not sure if I want to buy these air controller or just pass?

P.S.
7 to 10 day arrival! WTF!? I know it's free shipping but damn!

Anyone else notice that Best Buy's website seems nearly unusable tonight? 2-minute load times, sometimes it won't load at all. Login wouldn't work, couldn't even get it to send me a password reset so I had to create an entire new account. Absolutely awful, and I probably spent more time wasted trying to order the stupid PS3 pad than how much its worth if it were free. :/

Just used the site a little, but none of the issues you experienced.
What are the L2/R2 buttons like on this controller? I feel like my fingers are always slipping off the ones on the Dual Shock 3.
Just purchase a set of these and I promise you will no longer have any problems with your fingers slipping off the triggers:

http://www.amazon.com/Pelican-Trigg...=1341928352&sr=8-3&keywords=ps3+real+triggers

Amazon provides them for $5 shipped. I have a set for each of my controllers and I can't go without them.

MY God do people just not have the time to click on Page 1 and then click on the link to find product description? Sheesh all the questions that get posted that could be answered in 3 seconds just clicking on the link. Dont be that lazy.

I'll be picking mine up in about a hour here. Grandma took the boy today so I'll have some time to play with it. I'll be sure to chime in with my feelings about it.

Thanks I looked into all three. The batarang looks really cool hahaha. But all the reviews say they have dead zones so I think I'll have to pass. Do all 3rd party controllers have this problem?

Meanie. You coulda just answered the redundant question instead of being a douchebag in the time it took you to type up this response.

My favorite controller back with the ps2. Not sure I'll bite because of the cord though I understand it's needed to power the fans.

I also use these triggers on my controllers. I was playing Castlevania: LOS and you have to hold the R2 button a lot and my fingers kept slipping. This is a good product and I highly recommend them.

When does the extra 50% trade in start at best buy? And has anyone else noticed that the best buy trade in thread completely disappeared?

I look forward to it.

My little bro bought one for the 360 and loves it.

I bought a Mad catz Black Ops PS3 controller and it was crap, so I'm very interested to see if this will be any better.

I am loving it! I'm not getting any dead spots, I did need to turn up the sensitivity a bit. I really dont have any gripes with it, the cord may be a little short for some people (10ft), My tv is about 9 ft from the couch so I think victory laps around the coffee table may be out of the question. I highly recommend it for anyone that likes the xbox controller over the ps3 controller. I can finally play competitive shooters on my ps3 now with out getting raped.

Picked this up this morning and played some Borderlands and I have to admit, it feels pretty solid. The triggers have a bit of a resistance but I'm sure once I get used to the new controller, everything will feel right. Blue LED lights are pretty nice, as is the built-in fan. I say this is definitely a good buy, considering it's only 9.99. I have the COD: Black Ops PS3 controller and I would say I prefer this controller to the Black Ops one. Hopefully my review helps someone make up their mind if they are on the fence about it.

Oh yeah, forgot to add. I have no issues with the dead spot zones, as Daz is so that's two people without any problems. Hopefully more people can chime in.
Cord kills it. I'm sure the kids would be tripping on it and wouldn't understand why a controller needs a cord. lol
My kids (4 and 1) try to touch the TV screen to control it. It makes me laugh, but they're the ones that understand where things are going.

Lol my 3 year old does the same thing when he watches Netflix on the tv instead of my phone. I swear I clean the tv screen every other day.
Anyone know if its any good?
I got the Power A wireless version of that, which is pretty much the same. I stopped using it because the analog dead zone was annoying in games like Uncharted 3. Too bad because the form factor is nice.

Maybe I'll just wait another hour or two before I put in a order. Better yet, I used my credit card for one and maybe Paypal for the other. That should work possibly. I'm not gonna pick them up till this weekend.

Picked an Air Flo this morning. I really like the controller; the construction, the LEDs, and the air current are great.

The bad news is that the fans inside the controller died about ten minutes after I plugged it in. Anyone else having this issue?

I'm going to try to exchange it in a bit.

I've owned this controller for about three months got it back when there was a BB Unlocked coupon to make it like 15 or 20. It feels very nice and nothing internally has broke. Leds and fans work flawless and I use it more than I use my Dual Shock atm.

Hopefully you just pressed the button where you turn the fans off. It's right above the start button. There are two speed settings for the fans and the third press shuts them off. If this doesn't work then I'm sure they'll let you exchange it.

I must have a faulty unit.

The activation button was working fine, and then in the middle of the 'High' setting, the fan power started to wane until it shut off completely. Now the button does nothing.
