I think it says something about the game that they couldn't clear out their inventory for 10 bucks. I bought it with the coupon but really couldn't get into it. It was an okay shooter I have way too many games that are much better. I mean if you don't have much of a backlog and are looking for something to mess with for a few hours I can see you thinking about it but there are certainly better options.

the funny thing about it tho, is that i had a hard time finding a copy of resistance 3 in my local bb stores, when i tried to use the coupons on it. lol. It was sold out, and i had to go to 4 different bb stores before finding a new copy

sorry to argue with your logic but perhaps they want to clear their warehouse inventory with the DOTD and this has nothing to do with the quality of the game.

Going to have to disagree with that. I think the game's mediocre sales speak more to Sony's lack of promotion (coupled with a market saturated with FPSs). Still, Resistance 3 is pretty decent. If you're kind of meh about shooters, I'm not sure it'll change your mind, but it was a welcome divergence from the run of the mill military campaign. The weapons are imaginative and well thought out -- and, unlike in some games, you MUST make use of each them. The game rewards you (through upgrades & trophies) for weapon diversity as well. I also found it refreshing that there's no health regeneration, and you can easily run out ammo if you're not careful. Creates a sense of desperation.

Resistance 3 was really bad. Everything that made the series great was gone in this one. Love the series but to say "it's great because it's not military" is just crazy. At this point there are better fps and the series is nothing like what made it unique. Face it. It was not "call of duties" fault that the series is bad now. It's Sonys lack of faith in it and the developers have lost interest. There is a reason Sony has stated that they are not sure if the franchise will continue. Mediocre #3 and a horrible vita game and people don't even remember the great #1.

The time that Tera went live for the DOTD, there were a ton of Best Buys around with multiple copies. Later that day, when I look for it online at around 4 PM, they are all gone. Every single one. Curse you, El Horado.

i disagree also. I feel like R3 campaign was the best in the series due to a better connection to the main character and the different environmental atmospheres in the game's levels, however it did lack the colossal boss battles of r2. multiplayer i feel was a mixed bag, hated that online coop missions were missing, and the reduced player team size for giant maps, but liked the option of doing smaller squad close quarter fights. if They can squeeze the good from r2 & r3 together that would be one badass game. but i still recommend R3 for its engaging campaign.
