Thanks. Another strike against it - Brink on the PS3 seems to be technically superior, but games that are essentially (or entirely) multiplayer-only don't seem to fare well on the PS3 (MAG).

What if you could have both?

If you buy Brink just for the Single Player, you will probably regret it for the rest of your life. Keep in mind I have never hated a game and been so outspoken about it, this is literally the only game that I am doing this.

In concept of Brink seems awesome... in execution however it comes up way short. What amazes me is that almost everyone who reviewed the game prior to release gave it amazing numbers. Anyone who actually spent any amount of time with it realized how limited the game was. There are only 8(?) maps and you end up with only a couple different ways each map will play out objectives wise. So, within a couple hours of play time you feel like you've seen all there is to offer. Sure you *Could* keep leveling up to get new gadgets and abilities but what's the point when even the different classes feel the same. It's TF2 with less balance and no hat simulator.

So I go into BB today to pick up brink (because its 5 fricking bucks, jesus come on try and flip it somewhere if it sucks so bad) and the employee had no idea it was so cheap. He then proceeds to say "Why are you buying this?" to which I reply "I know its crap, but five dollars isn't a huge loss on it". I am sure I will keep it sealed since I already played it last summer, and sell it for cheap later on down the line.

Its a shame, the concept is so solid, but the execution is lackluster. Not the worst game ever though.

Every "current" copy includes the bonus stuff.
If it was ever to reprint in the later future, it might be a different story.

Kid Icarus for $15 on Tuesday could turn out interesting since there is also a B2G1 free sale on 3DS games this week. I vaguely remember Disneyland Adventures being a DotD last year in the same week there was a B2G1 free on all games. Despite the DotD pricing, it was still considered at the MSRP for the B2G1 free. So alll you had to do was put items in your cart in order so that you'd get Disneyland Adventures as one of the two titles you'd pay for and get a more expensive game for free. I looked at an order email from Dec. 5th and I think that was the case. I bought two copies of Saints Row The Third (which IIRC was on sale for $40) and Disneyland Adventures. The total came out to $60, $40 for one copy of SRTT, $20 for Disneyland, and the other copy of SRTT was free.

Something to consider once Monday night rolls around. I'd like to think BB learned their lesson since then but after their last B2G1 free turned into B2G2 free a few months ago, maybe not.
