Wow, OOS already and not available at the 3 closest stores to me. I put in an order at a far away store. Not sure if I'll ever get over there to pick it up.

I played this game at PAX (to get 3 packs of AR cards from the Nintendo reps) after playing it briefly at Best Buy a few months back. For $15 it is worth picking up. I'll reiterate what others have said: the controls while flying are OK, but on the ground it gets confusing. I got to some point in the level where I couldn't even figure out where to go. But then again I was pretty wiped out by PAX at that point too .

Great price, especially for a game published by Nintendo , but I am not just not really into rail shooters. Personally, I wish this game would have been a 2D platformer instead. Ya know, like the NES title.

Besides, with Ocarina 3D, Revelations, MK7, 3D Land, and Star Fox, there are still plenty of other 3DS titles I have not played yet higher on the play list.

Not to mention, Sticker Star is around the corner.

Did two orders for store pick up last night. One for me, one for my nephew. When I get there, I'm going to ask if they will cancel the orders so I can buy them using the b2g1 free (if I buy them I wouldn't be able to return them for 24 hours), if for some reason they refuse I'm still okay with having snagged two copies for $30. I specifically put in the order at the Best Buy that's usually really cool about helping me get the best deal though so hopefully they'll understand when I explain that the site only let me order one at a time and I knew it was going to be a hot item so I just wanted to make sure I was able to get the two copies.

How is this sold out at not only all of them, but in every store in my state and 2 other states that border mine? Not that I'd be willing to travel that far, but I find it VERY suspicious. A sale is no good if the item isn't in stock anywhere.

How much you wanna bet it's in stock again, if not tomorrow then at least the next day? That's exactly what happened when I tried to get Rhythem Heaven Fever for $5 a few weeks ago....

Edit: I guess I owe Best Buy an apology. I've been refreshing every 30 min or so, and suddenly half the stores near me just went from "Unavailable" to "Available now". I don't know why it wasn't up to date to begin with but I was able to use my Reward Zone points and snag a copy. Still would have preferred to ship it instead but I'm more than happy to skip lunch today to pick this up.

Apparently they weren't supposed to. The manager at the BB I went to made it clear that NSMB 2 wasn't part of this sale, even though it was pictured. He offered to "pull some strings" and get me the original DS's NSMB instead as if that was some sort of favor.....

That's weird. I picked up NSMB2 along with some other games and it rang up just fine. The system applied the promo automatically and no override was needed.

Edit: It was for an instore purchase and not an online order.

I normally have good luck with finding deals with Best Buy. The only time I saw this happen was with that Tron collectors ed when it was I think $10 a month or 2 back. I never saw it in the store before, so I thought nothing of it. But ever since the sale, they have one sitting on the shelf for the normal price, teasing me!

Toys R Us on the other hand, they are terrible at having games in stock AFTER the sales. You don't know how many times I go and they say "we haven't had in stock for months" only to have it in stock the very next week.

3ds must not move games fast enough for them to justify much stock replenishment. I stopped by Sunday fully expecting to drop $80 on b2g1 but left empty handed because of the poor selection. I'm going to another location to pick up KI(ordered online) since the meager stock of my closest store dried up before they even opened today.

I tried online about an hour after the deal went live and it wouldn't work. So I went to the store when it opened and was told it was excluded from this sale.

There is one Best Buy in our area that doesn't treat people like crap that I could probably get to honor it, but frankly I don't want the game enough to jump through hoops. I only got irritated because this doesn't seem like it should be a YMMV situation, I mean the game is pictured on the online ad......
